“So delicious, everything is home made. It is a small intimate restaurant and the owners/chefs are so welcoming. The pasta is so delicious and the focaccia bread to the mussels appetizer to the lamb sauce over fettuccine was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The homemade mixture they serve with the bread is unlike anything we have ever had and it was their grandma’s recipe that made it extra special. I would suggest a reservation for this hidden gem!“

“Der Dutchman in Sarasota is a gem. The food is hearty, fresh, and consistently delicious — especially the fried chicken and homemade pies. The buffet is always well stocked, and the bakery items are worth taking home. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels warm and family-oriented. “I recently hosted a group dinner at the Mellow Mushroom in Sarasota for 80 Sarasota High School baseball players and their moms and it was AMAZING!!! Everyone had such a great time! “I took myself for my birthday today. I ordered everything on the menu that I ever wanted to order because I didn't have to worry about price since I was paying. My waiter was sublime. Talked me through all the appetizers. I got all the ceviche dishes. Tried a vegetarian one. It was all so good! I loved the ceviche mixto most but all of it was so fabulous. I love it there. I am so going back! 10 stars“
