“This Pollo Tropical location has become our family favorite! We're regulars who typically order the whole chicken family meal with beans and rice, and it never disappoints. The food is so good that after our last visit, my youngest asked if we could buy five containers of their black beans to eat throughout the entire week - now that's a ringing endorsement from a kid! The consistent quality and flavors keep us coming back. Highly recommend for families looking for delicious, satisfying meals.“

“First time here at this brand and location . Food tasted so good! I ordered steak and onion with rice and bean and Can of coke for $16 plus tax And side of tostones for extra cost. Total cost me $27.61. Prefer unlimited fountain drinks then just 1 can of soda.“

“I came to visit my grandparents that live close by and they recommended this place to have lunch. The portions were so large that we got full and ate the leftovers for dinner. The food is flavorful and affordable, and the environment is very pleasant. I would recommend to anyone visiting the Altamonte Springs area.“

“I just had my first experience with Unico tonight and I truly enjoyed myself! It was R&B night and the DJ was phenomenal! He started playing the saxophone with the songs and I was truly impressed! The food and drinks are also something to brag about! I hope you guys do R&B night often because I’m coming back!“

“The food is delicious. I had white rice and beans with the flank steak. Our group had many items from fried pork chunks to crispy chicken bites. Alcapurrias and bacalao. Everyone enjoyed their food. We took it to go as the place is very small.“

“i ordered the chicken fried rice 🥹 i could almost cry again this is SO GOOD!!! im usually super picky about chicken and typically don’t like the chicken fried rice from a lot of places, but this place nailed it down to a TEE!! the chicken is so delicious,, both the rice AND chicken are perfectly cooked!! i will 1000000% be getting food from here again

“I ordered a whole chicken at the drive-thru and was given a dry and burnt chicken it was so bad that no one could eat it. I cannot understand how can you treat a customer that way.“

“Family was visiting from out of town last week, so we placed a large to‑go order at the Pollo Tropical in Sanford. When it came time to pay, our debit card kept getting rejected, even after the staff tried multiple registers and attempted to split the payment.
We were about to remove items to pay in cash when the manager, Pedro, explained there was a software glitch preventing debit card payments over $50. He immediately stepped in and discounted our order by 35%, which allowed us to get everything we needed.
With a little patience and understanding, what could have been a frustrating situation turned into a positive experience. Our whole family was extremely grateful for Pedro’s help and the Sanford team’s effort to make things right.“

“I don’t know the cashier’s name, but he’s a young guy from Puerto Rico—and honestly, he’s the reason I keep coming back.
He is incredibly warm, kind, and full of Caribbean charm. The way he treats people is just beautiful. He’s patient with every order, takes his time to recommend dishes, and you can truly feel the pride he has working at Pollo Tropical.
But what stands out the most is how he makes you feel—like family. That kind of service is rare, and for us, that connection means everything. I’ve become a regular customer just because of him.
Yesterday he wasn’t there, and you could really feel the difference. The place just isn’t the same without his energy, his care, and his charisma.
I don’t know his name, but you’ll recognize him right away—he’s slim, usually at the register, and will greet you with the biggest, most genuine smile.

“Was hungry and stopped to get an arepa. I have to say it was the best arepa I had in Orlando, it was delicious and so much flavor, my arepa was customized, it had pulled pork, 2 types of cheese and avocado-what a delight. Definitely returning back and also they are open late.“
