“This was my first time eating at Olive U. My doctor recently told me to eat Medeterian foods only because of a fatty liver. I can't believe how delicious the food is. No salt but flavored so tasty. There is only one problem. it's almost an hour from where I live. As long as the gas stations have Petro, I'll be here. The staff is soooo incredibly nice. I'll be back, God willing.“

“Wanted a nice place to go for our anniversary dinner.. first time here and wow.. this place went above and beyond. From being greeted at the door by the hosts, they acknowledged our anniversary note on our reservation and wished us a happy anniversary. They also set up a table for us water front with a sign that said happy anniversary and a card. Our server Shakeem was great!! He gave us great recommendations for drinks and food. When dessert came out he brought us each a complimentary glass of champagne. Would recommend 10000%.“

The music was loud and we were going to leave but my wife decided to go speak with one of the managers to see if he could do anything about it because we have hearing problems. He immediately got the music turned down a little and then got us a seat within 5 minutes. The food was wonderful and Chris the GM kept checking with us that we were being taken care of. I can’t remember the last time we ordered dinner from the menu, we walk in, say hello to Cathy and wait for our dinner. We’ve brought and recommended many times over the years and happily no one has been short of pleased.“

“We were in the mood for a casual , good bar food dinner and stumbled upon Yard House. What we expected and what we got was totally unexpected. The beer menu is spectacular as well as so many food choices. The beer we had were great as well as our food choices. Truly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. “My favorite place since I tried 2 months ago, I’ll go for lunch almost everyday, mostly Boca and Wellington. Im fasting so it’s the most tasty nutritious food I’ve got. The staff is amazing and the cleanliness even in bathrooms is top. I always get the small bowl and always ask for a bonus 1/2 spoon of beans and they always give it with a big smile, not this time. Today I tried the Alton one, I had high expectations. First impression was that it was weird starting the line backwards from the right. The operator was friendly but not when I asked for a tin of beans, 1/4 spoon the most… She said no and she wanted to sell me a cup as an extra. I declined, was rude, then I see the line dirty, stuff looked cold. The other operator was afraid to serve too much shrimp and the feta he spread it crumble by crumble, I was amazed of his skills. Those 2 company money savers fighting for the employee of the month. One thing I like at Bolay is to grab my metal good solid forks, this time I couldn’t, not available. The food was tasty as usual but the temperatures were inconsistent, the colds not too cool and the hots warms. Then after sitting the trash overflowing and dirty bowls piling up were a view that you can’t stop looking at it, under my table on the floor smashed veggies. When I’m leaving I’m looking at the other stations and look the same. I avoided use the bathrooms at that point to wash hands as usual. It wasn’t a staff shortage issue, plenty of labor, customer line clear. These guys went through the pick of rush in lunch time with not interval cleanings. So disappointing see that awesome concept lowing the bar so bad. At the end is all management. Not going back there, I mean, that one in Alton but people, you definitely gotta try it somewhere else and get hook by them. Wellington and Boca In Military staff is the best. Hope Alton improve.“

“Best quality sushi around! The gyoza is amazing!!! My favorite roll aas the miracle roll and the b&b roll is also great. If you never had steak sashimi this is the place to try it! Also great sake selections with knowledgeable wait staff. Only complaint was we ordered 4 sushi rolls spent over $200 (with tip) and were charged $1.50 for one order of the spicy mayo. Most restaurants ive been to dont charge for the first order of spicy mayo. Not concerned about the price of it, more or less the principle. Everything else was amazing! Love this place will be back.“

Hector (I believe that was his name - friendly guy with dark hair and glasses) and the woman with a NJ accent (believe she was a manager) were incredibly friendly and helpful. We came in for our anniversary to get some gelato and they went above and beyond with service. Having just moved from NY, this is our new favorite spot! My family and I had a great time there.
Appetizers were very good, same with cocktails but the main dish was not that good..they put ingredients that we requested to not add, burnt bread, rice tasted funny and we saw 2 different tables complain about their food to staff.
Our waitress (tall man in his 30s with short black hair) was phenomenal.
Kitchen staff has something to work on or maybe they are just overworked/understaffed because it was very busy.
4 stars is generous but it’s a special place for my family.“

“Service friendly but haphazard. Two of the 4 of us were charged more than the menu stated for our lunches. I was charged $7.75 for a cup of mushroom soup when the menu states $6.25. When questioned, the waitress said the menu states prices can be increased at any time, and they hadn’t updated the menu yet. Food was good but not worth $24.77 for a cup of soup, slice of quiche and an iced tea, excluding tip.“
