“The food is amazing and the workers are super friendly. I ordered the stewed conch, sausage and grits, and corned beef and grits. When I tell you the food is so flavorful (not salty). I will definitely return to try more of that delicious food.“
“This was GREAT! It's hard to find authentic Jamacian food and I didn't expect to find it in a mall BUT I did! Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Whenever I'm in Florida again, I will definitely be back. Hey guys, come open up one in the California Bay Area!!!“
“First time here so we ordered a little bit of everything . HANDS DOWN BEST GRITS I’ve ever had . Waffle hot and sweet and fluffy. Eggs were cooked perfect. Sausage a little too spicy (but would’ve been great later with peppers and onions on a hoagie roll!) and the potatoes - lord the potatoes! Perfect little off the beaten path spot. Did I mention the grits ???? Perfection !“
“Absolutely epic food! This could easily rank as some of the best Caribbean cuisine I’ve ever had. The jerk chicken was sensational—perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauces were equally good. I can’t wait to eat at Manjay again.“
“This food is phenomenal! I had the spicy ?️ BBQ chicken wing dinner with rice and beans with oxtail gravy, it also came with cabbage and sweet fried plantain. Guys when I tell you this food was sooooooo good!! I’m THE pickiest eater and look for any excuse not to like something, but this food and the service deserves a 5 star ⭐️ review. Highly recommended this restaurant. Sorry I forgot to take pictures but even the esthetic look of the food was appealing.“
“In town for a day and we were looking for a breakfast spot. Ended up seeing this place in the plaza with no wait time so we decided to have brunch. Yal! Brunch was a whole vibe! Good food, 90s R&B, mimosas, and great customer service. The oxtail and ackee was banging I just wish they put more ackee on the plate. The lamb chops were tender and flavorful. My mother-in-law had the chicken and waffles and that chicken was juicy and full of flavor. My 6 yr old had the avocado toast. Everything was good including the St. Patty's mimosas. We will definitely come back the next time we are in town.“
“Great experience overall!!! The staff was inviting and helpful. Definitely go when you get the chance!I got Griot with rice and beans, macaroni, and a side of the meatballs. Everything was amazing!! Very flavorful and savory! The limeade definitely exceeded my expectations.I will be telling everyone to come here :)“
“Clean, Friendly Caribbean Market!! It was our first time coming to this Place. The Owners were very Friendly People who went out of their way to welcome us. Also, the Goat Roti is very good!! I will definitely return there whenever I visit down to Miami.“
“Got there early, or so I thought!. 11:10 there were ALREADY at least 25 people in line! But now I see why. The service was EXCELLENT. I got My food in less than 10 minutes... At first I thought that I got the wrong order because there was SO MUCH food on the plate! For under $30 I got 5 bones, 2 1/2 pieces of chicken, and about a pound of pork. I am not from The South Florida area so I have VERY little experience with Jerk but Chef Tally has created a GREAT flavor that needs NO sauce! (Which by the way is delicious!)I didn't try any of the sides or desserts but from what I saw they looked good so next time I will see how they hittin. If you are in the N. Miami, S. Lauderdale area Chef Tally's is a MUST!!!“
“I literally told everyone I know about this place, the food is so good— meat is fall off the bone and so tender!!! The Jerk Pork was full of flavour and the salt fish fritters got me addicted ? please check this place out, my large serving lasted me for 3-4 days! The service is excellent and the owners of the restaurant are so sweet and generous!! GOOD VALUE FOR GOOD FOOD!!! ????“
“This place has some of the best soup I’ve tasted in a long time!!!! Tuesday- red peas soup Wednesday- Beef Soup Thursday-Chicken soup $10 for large $6 for small. The patties and the cocoa bread are nice too small spot right behind the corner store on 193rd and 441“
“Holy cow!! Sacre Bleu! This is an outstanding Haitian restaurant. Truly the best out of the 4 I’ve tried here in Miami/ Fort Lauderdale. The food is fresh, delicious and full of flavor. I ordered the Griot, Diri rice, fried palintain, baked beef meat pies and fresh soursop juice. Everything was really incredible, down to the fried plaintain. I wil be back again and again. If you love Haitian Food this is certainly worth a visit. Also spectacular service! The lady who rang us up was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This is a wonderful spot.“
“Absolutely delicious, I highly recommend for anyone interested in this type of food. Coming from Puerto Rico, the Mofongo and the Empanadas were the best i’ve tried in the area. The service was excellent, a very efficient staff, owner was very friendly, and chef is very experienced. Definitely will be returning without a doubt.“
“I'm lovin' it! The atmosphere is on point! Hospitality is awesome. The are very attentive. I love the flavors. I'm from Louisiana and currently live Texas. This homely feeling is what I've been missing. Who would of thought, that I would have gotten this in Miami. OMG! Man this is awesome. The music! It's everything! This place so loved.?“
“If you’re looking for the best island food in town this is the spot. They offer so much variety, Best Jamaican food I’ve ever tried down south. They also offer catering definitely a must have at your next party event. I had the oxtail dinner and it was just amazing ? if I could leave more than 5 stars I would. Definitely coming back for more!“
“This is clearly one of the coolest place to eat in the region. Every time I come to this place I am deeply pleased. They manage their very high level service and the topmost level of cooking they serve. You are always happy with this restaurant.“
“I really do love Donnas restaurant because the food is simply delicious. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food that will tickle your tastebuds the moment you enter, and have you coming back for more.... And how can I forget the staff. They are simple courteous people who are always willing to serve. If you really want some great Caribbean food with great service....Donnas is the place I recommend. I eat at University drive, N State Road 7, 12th.Street, and Coral Springs...Please don't judge me. I cook in my own kitchen...but Donnas is my favorite eat out option for all the good reasons I've suggested.“
“Maaannnn..... Listen, I ordered the griot and I must say.... that was the closest to how my grandma makes griot. Food was fresh and on point. Only thing that was a concerning was the piklis... it wasn't that spicy and still in the fermented stage.“
“My family and I traveled to Miami for a mini vacation, we went to Ft. Lauderdale to visit and found this amazing restaurant. It’s call the “Peoples Choice” and it has amazing Jamaican cuisine. It’s a must to visit! When we visit again from Indianapolis, Indiana, we will definitely be back for an awesome meal. The owners we great people!“
“Met a work friend here right before a client meeting and I was truly impressed with the level of service, food quality, atmosphere and overall experience. It was my first time eating here btw. The 2 owners were extremely friendly and greeted me with a warm smile as soon as I walked in (this never happens anywhere else I go!) The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection too. Great place to meet up, take clients to or if you want a really good vibe in Miami. I’ll be back for sure! Thanks again.“
“LISTEN this not Dutchpot nor Donnas this real Authentic Jamaican food. Everything down to the sauce, gravy, cabbage, jerk chicken and rice was sooooo . Even the homemade lemonade, like it was just so refreshing. As if the food alone is not already bomb, the employees are so friendly and welcoming. The store is very clean and just homey. 10/10 recommend it. Trust me imma foodie go try it.“
“Very good service, good menu … not overly extensive. Food was very good quality all around. They know how to prepare home fries and their omelets are top-notch. She made the experience perfect. She brought out the food all at the same time and brought us anything we asked for. Would definitely come back to this place! The pasta and pizza are delicious! The breakfast menu is equally varied. I could have ordered at least 6 items on the menu. The service is great, prices are reasonable. The dining room and restrooms are clean and well maintained. Two thumbs up and 5 stars“
“1st had them when i was spending a week in Cap Haitien, Haiti last year and was set on trying the location in North Miami when i was back stateside... So finally decided to check them out with my niece. They are located right by the North Miami Museum of Contemporary art off of 125th ave. Staff is very friendly , helpful, and will quickly answer any questions that you may have. They not only offer Pizza but also griot tacos, wings, and more. We decided to eat in and ordered a medium Griot pizza and also a small Smoked herring pizza (to go). Griot pizza was so good we decided to also try the herring while there as opposed to waiting for later. We liked that even more! Definitely recommend. The US location is just as good as the one in Haiti.“
“I had the legume and seafood pasta and both were FIRE ? but I’m writing this review not only to expound on the excellence of the food but to showcase the humanity of the owner Johanna. After buying and eating the amazing food, I didn’t realize that I accidentally left my wallet. After a week she came to my house to bring it back to me! Unbelievable but TRUE. My faith in humanity RESTORED ? ?“
“Came here as a tourist for the jazz concert and needed something good and flavorful to eat. The food ambience and service were good.I was only in Florida for 3 days and I ended up eating here everyday. Since I couldn't find anything near the stadium that looked good. (Once at the table and twice at the bar...Bar service is quicker)Side notes: The food could be a little spicier but I think they play it safe for the tourist and They could have more vegetarian options. I do enjoy fish every now and then. But I had to eat it everyday since there was no other option. Also I noticed when I sat at he table the bartender was also our waiter (reason why I chose to sit at the bar my last 2 days) our waiter was nice but he seemed annoyed at times understandable so because he was being overworked. But other than that I was happy and would visit again.“
“I loved this place and the employee that served us. She was polite, kind and had a smile that could melt the coldest ice cream. The flavors are decadent and have a sweetness that brings memories of your childhood with your cousins at your grandma's house. My favorite was the bun and cheese and i can't wait to get a full pint.“
“Overall pretty good spot. Can take a while for things to happen. Drinks, check, etc. Nice food options although since they changed their menu there are not quite as many options as there once was. Worth stopping by for some decent food and great atmosphere. They have a large outdoor firepit usually cranking. The ultimate pineapple drink it pretty bomb.“
“Destiny was amazing. She greeted us as we entered and was patient with us as we were ordering. All of the staff we encountered, friendly and courteous. We ordered the chicken and fries. My second favorite spot that is not in the Bahamas. If you are ever in town, check them out.“
“First off, want to say this place is authentically Jamaican. Not only are the workers Jamaican, but the customers that eat here as well. The food is always fresh and home cooked, leaving you feeling great after eating. The food spot is part of a flea market so the ambiance isn't all that fancy. The food here is also very delicious.“
“Love this place so far. I’ve ordered pick twice and my experience both times were great. I got the jerk pasta which was a bit on the spicy side, but delicious. The flavors stick to your tongue. I also ordered the fry chicken and that gravy (sauce) on the side makes the meal for me. Please support this restaurant. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.“
“This place was nice and clean inside and the food taste good and fresh! Most of all was the service. I feel like customer service these days is hard to come around but here the service was on point! I will def be coming back with friends and family.“
“This place is GREAT! The service and hospitality is perhaps the best thing about the establishment! The women who I always see when I come in are kind and pleasant and always jovial! The food is DELICIOUS! I regularly come in for the curry and jerk chicken combination plate! The plantains are some of the BEST, they are made the right way! The cabbage and rice and peas are also delicious! The proportions are HUGE- you will not be hungry afterwards! They also make a Rum Cake that is DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS! Prices are VERY reasonable! This is one of the best Jamaican restaurants I’ve been to whether in south FL or on the Island itself! Highly recommend!“
“I thoroughly enjoy my visits to this restaurant. It consistently offers a clean and inviting atmosphere, with the added perk of shorter waiting times compared to other places. The pricing and portion sizes are reasonable, striking a great balance. However, what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional customer service. From the warm smiles when you walk in to the genuine gratitude expressed when you leave, the staff goes above and beyond. I highly recommend paying them a visit, and don't forget, they're an excellent choice for catering needs as well!“
“Omggg !Listen to me !I’ve been looking for good tasty seafood for a while & buck up this restaurant and I promise you from the service , to the reasonable prices, to the taste of the food down to the bone ? wow this place is customer friendly, great service & AMAZING dishes . So much to choose from get here if you’re looking for a good fish in south Florida .“
“This is the first time I had roti, but it won't be the last. If you like curry, and have never had roti, I highly suggest you try Ali's Roti Shop. First, let me say when you go in you are welcomed with a smile. As some of the other reviews have said, the ladies in Ali's are welcoming and don't mind questions. For example, I thought roti was curry wrapped up like a burrito, but the menu says - chicken AND roti or beef AND roti. So hoping they would forgive my ignorance, I asked about this. (You can have yourcurry wrapped in roti like a large sandwich or separate is the answer by the way.) The portions are huge here!! So I suggest getting the roti on the side. Picking it up as a sandwich was yummy but messy. In fact, with the portions as large as this, I could have made several burrito like roti instead of just one huge one. The curry itself was slightly hot, according to my friend who was with me, who is Jamaican. His tolerance is higher than mine. I would say it is medium spicy lol. It was very tasty and filling and not so hot that I couldn't taste the spices and flavor. The curry spice is the star as are the big pieces of moist chicken. I also got a piece of carrot cake, which was moist and delicious with just the right amount of cream cheese icing. It was also a large portion. To drink, I got their pineapple ginger juice that they make there, and it was perfect- spicy and sweet. The place itself is very clean and homey. Overall, a great first experience with roti! Epic fail on pics as usual. Always forget to take til it is too late.“
“Real island vibe , food is made fresh to order , perfect amount of salt fresh juices, garlic conch ,curry conch , fish tea and bammy . It feels like I’m still in Jamaica! I’m definitely coming back . They also do vegetarian dishes, I didn’t think the wait was long for appetizers we had the soup., and just lymed with my bff , other people were there enjoying a beer while they waited they did not seem stressed. Keep the good food coming Coconutz !“
“Let's talk about authentic. The atmosphere...is just like those chill spots back home in Jamaica. The food....the chicken..the pork.. the CONCH. Amazing. Well seasoned to the bone. No knock off oven jerk.. REAL outside.. on the grill Jerk. You won't regret it. Go Jerk...Keep it up. So far you have the BEST jerk in Miami“
“The service was good and the staff was nice. First Haitian restaurant I’ve been to with no attitude. The food was fresh and delicious. Definitely a place that I’d try again. I had the griot with rice and plantains. My sister had the tassot Turkey. Very good “

“I'm so happy I stumbled across this food truck, and I hope they keep up the flavor momentum! By far the BEST LAMBI I've ever head, their grilled chicken is SOOOOO YUMMY. Their ACRA IS BOMB!!!! Excellent customer service! I am recommending them to everyone I know!!!! Please, please keep up the good work, we need more delicious Haitian food in Miami.“
“Not only does Dutch pot has excellent customer service! They also in my opinion have the best Jamaican meals ever ! The taste & texture of their oxtails is hands down unmatched ! I know of only one other person locally that can even come close to making them quite tasty! And the cabbage & rice omgosh! Just delicious. And my favorite dish beside the brown stew or Jerk chicken is the liver ! Taste like my mother's own! She even loves it! When I took some to her ! I can tell this location is being ran by great leadership! I come there atleast twice a week and order for my entire family & even purchase for cars behind me! Just to spread the kindness around! Thanks guys for taking pride in your work & offering excellent customer services! We appreciate you ! Happy Holidays! Sharon W. From Space Coast Credit Union!“
“I love coming here to eat their famous oxtail always so fresh served with rice and peas. Also their j*** chicken is delicious. Love the owners as well always so welcoming. Wishing their business nothing but more success. Recommend coming here for some delicious Caribbean food“
“Out of this world vegan oxtail! Everything was so tasty and fragrant and the cooking was creative (carrot used as the oxtail bone, genius!) The plates had generous portions and were full of color, prices were totally reasonable, and food was made fresh upon ordering. Fully vegan menu has us excited to come back and try even more.“
“Had a patty and coco bread this morning. Their patties are on par with Juici Patties. Taste Rite patties are damn good. Well made, hot, spicy, fresh and a fave of mine. Plus, the sweet potato pudding is on point. Thanks for the good customer service, Latoya ?“
“Excellent spot for Haitian food in North Miami! We had the whole fish, fried goat, and legumes; all of which were great. The sides were plentiful and tasty as well. Service was efficient and reasonably friendly. This is primarily a takeout restaurant, so the ambiance is somewhat lacking, but there's a nice mural.“
“This was my first visit, although it was a Tuesday night I had a great time. The Owner was very friendly and spent personal rime mingling. The few guests that were there also very friendly. I'm looking forward to coming back on the weekend and on Monday night to play Spades.“
“Today was my first time buying Haitian food there, the food is so good, they serve real fresh authentic Haitian food, their griot, fried plantains are amazing, rice very good, the owner made sure to give great customer service ?. Definitely will “
“FINALLY, a good place to get a bite to eat in Hallandale! Cracked conch w/fries and a small side salad. To drink? "Sky Juice" will satisfy your soul. (That's the Sky Juice talking). If you're in the neighborhood, be sure to stop in and say hello to Maurice. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY. -Shawn“
