“We have been coming here for years because the food is so delicious. Our tradition is to have a trunk picnic enjoying the cars go by while eating everything warm and fresh. Each time family visits, we bring them here. The picture I uploaded is an example of our haul for one family night, nothing made it home in packages, only in our belly. Tripleta is to die for, the burgers are humongously satisfying and basically everything else. It's really hard to decide sometimes which item to get, but start with the tripleta, you won't regret it! Well seasoned crispy skin with a juicy center. Ordering only 6 was a mistake, I can see that this will be a once a week guilty pleasure for me. “My family was visiting from Ohio and found this place. We were very impressed with the service and food. We tried the ribs and pulled pork, with sides of Mac n cheese, baked beans, and fries. Little one got grilled cheese. We have zero complaints. The free donut, cinnamon and sugar, included with your meal was also delicious. Donut was fresh and made in front of you. We also got to meet the owner, who personally came to ask us how the BBQ food we ordered was and provided the orgin of how the idea become reality. Highly recommend a visit!“

“Yum, Yum, Yum! I was invited to lunch at Papa Diesel's Restaurant on my visit to Apopka, FL. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the entire experience was a treat. A friendly family atmosphere greeted me at the door, with the added touch of care that was immaculately given to every detail. The aroma from the kitchen activated my taste buds, as I stared mesmerized by the extensive menu. Finally, I decided to go for the “Diesel Sampler”. The brisket was so succulent that it melted in my mouth. The ribs fell from the bone with such flavor that no sauce was necessary—the pulled pork I used to sample the homemade sauces. As I was told, the sauces will soon be available in the local supermarkets (as I can attest to becoming a family staple). Needless to say, the sausage, chicken, and sides all met with the same flavorful standards. Ending my meal with a dessert, I enjoyed the peach cobbler and shared a nibble of key lime cake with my date. It was an enjoyable afternoon, sharing special time with loved ones in a loving environment, dining on food prepared by Papa Diesel, who loves to cook for folks, and making them feel at home!“

I was shocked that they even had chicken bites (which I had never seen at any other location).

“Quesadillas, tacos, tamales, and more! Today, I'll make my 8th visit to Taquería y Antojitos El Zarape Mexicano at 3604 Curry Ford Rd. for what I have found to be the best Mexican food in Otrlando. It's a food truck parked on the corner of a convenience store! And, it is only open on Saturday and Sunday! (12 Noon-10PM). You know it's good if I wait until the weekend to get my Mexican on! There is a bit of a language barrier as the owners speak mostly Spanish and understand some basic English. And with three quarters of college Spanish under my belt, I am barely able to utter, "Como esta Usted?". But, the menu has lots of pictures so pointing works. The best part is the food. Second best part: the prices. $2.50 tacos made fresh. By far the best quesadilla I've ever enjoyed. As a friend says, "They're legit" Great burittos! Huaraches. They have outdoor covered seating or you can get your Mexican to go.“

“Finally tried the Filipino-Hawaiian Resto close by. My husband ordered Hawaiian Style Huli Huli Chicken and I had Filipino Style Mixed Plate or Huli Huli Chicken and Papa’s Filipino Pork Adobo. My husband said this is by far the best Filipino Chicken he ever had because it was tender and tasteful. And he loved the Ono Mac Salad too! He even ordered 2 ala cart for to go lol 🤣 As for me, not a fan of their Pancit but the Chicken and Pork Adobo are sooooooooo good! I also tried their Ube Cassava and I liked it coz it wasn’t too sweet. I will definitely order again! And oooooh that Sweet Chili Sauce is a winner too perfect match for the lumpia!
