“One of the best Pollo locations in Miami! Not sure about previous reviews, maybe new management but as of recently, everything is on point. From the food to the staff 👏 the staff is so respectful & courteous. And the food is exactly as the pictures on the website. Some locations don’t have the new menu items but this location does. I purposely go out of my way only to eat at this location 😅 for real for real lol the new sandwiches & the cheesy yuca bites are my favorite“

This place is killing it!!! I had the Bro's Bowl spiced to Medium since it's my first visit, but definitely will push the heat level up next time.

“Disclaimer: I am not the audience for ordering food and picking it up from a box without interacting with human beings. I'm not there yet. So although I'd heard of Soulfly, I wasn't particularly interested in visiting. Nevertheless, was celebrating my mom's birthday and the birthday girl wanted to come here after our wine tasting next door.

I'm glad the experience was not as impersonal as I anticipated. Partly because I just didn't feel like sticking to the script but also I couldn't get that doggone pickup situation together. LOL I had so many issues with the code to retrieve my order, it was seriously comical. I did observe others come in, put in the code, get the food and go though.

You do have to order on the kiosk but I was able to ask the manager if I could order it like this or that, which he happily made note of for my particular order. There was a little wait for having ordered onsite - things would have felt quicker had I ordered online from offsite then stopped in to pickup when notified the order was ready. I had the wings and cajun rice. Now what surprised me was that chicken! Ok, Soulfly! Very nicely seasoned, good crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. I was impressed considering my expectations. It reminded me of those good chinese takeout chicken wings. Nice surprise. The cajun rice was just okay for me.

The challenges to me coming back are that the price is just high for what you get. I understand there is a cost for "convenience" so it is what it is. However adding $6.54 to the order when I had to do the work to place it then pick it up is.... I don't and won't mind continuing to do things the old school way to pay a more reasonable price for fried chicken in other nearby neighborhoods. Also, no "convenient" parking. I feel like this spot is more geared towards people strolling on the street or for food delivery drivers who will be on a moped only.

Overall for the chicken and helpfulness of the onsite staff, I give it a 3.5, not just a 3.“

“I love this location being close to home but they really need to figure something out with the parking lady out front harassing guests. This chick fil a is legit the only business open in the building on the whole block yet you can’t park for 5 minutes out front to get food. The garage is $8! The city should rezone the parking in front for 15 minutes Max or something. How are business supposed to survive here. They are losing a lot of business. We left today because the parking lady was harassing us. Meanwhile 6 police cars parked out front getting lunch, a city bus parked in the no parking zone to get lunch, 2 usps trucks parked in a no parking zone to get lunch. Are they special? The street is dead! Let the public people get their lunch.“

“I was here in Dec 2023 and 08/17/2024. I ordered the churrasco, which is number 6, both times. The first time, I had sweet plantains instead of rice. I ordered the vegetables both times. I like my steak med or medium rare. The first time, I also had a seafood gumbo. The price is very good. I do recommend“

Kid-friendliness: Tropical Pollo restaurants are always very ‘kid friendly and the kids love the food choices..

Wheelchair accessibility: It was nice to be able to have a family member who is wheelchair bound to be able to eat ‘with our family’ inside the restaurant.“

“We were shopping in dolphin mall and this place looked pretty good and clean . We ordered one half chicken meal with extra rice and chorizo . Man this was a lot of food for $22. Chicken was flavorful and chorizo was good. Cooked veggies were not bad as well. For the price and amount of good you get , we will come back. Just a little annoying to get a clean table in the food court .“

“I went here for lunch 9/8/2024. I was also here in Feb. I ordered the saucy nuggets and a spicy chicken sandwich. In fed I ordered the 5 piece tenders and a smashed popatoe box. Both times, the service was fast and easy. The potato bowls with chicken nuggets are customizable. Overall good“

“I definitely don't understand what's going on at the Tropical Chicken branch on 8th Little Havana. I constantly buy the Family Duo, with pork, and it's been approximately 2 months since the container of pork is practically 3/4 full and today it's gone. I bought it again, the container of beans was practically broth, they are reducing the portions a lot, I don't know if it is by order of the manager of the establishment or it is the employees who serve smaller and smaller portions, in addition to not giving out the burnt ripe ones, that is a constant in that branch, I buy it because it gets me out of trouble by not having time to cook, but they already leave a lot to be desired. Small portions, burnt ripe fruits!!!!!!“
