“Since I live in Ponce Inlet, I've been to Down the Hatch many times and have always found their seafood to be so fresh all the time. This time I had my sons visiting me from St. Louis, they wanted to eat at the best restaurant for seafood, and of course, we went right here and it didn't disappoint. They especially loved the shecrab soup with the sherry on the side. It was scrumptious. Their dinners were wonderful, as well as the desserts. Needless to say, we went home with plenty of leftovers. Steve, the server was great. All in all, it was a perfect night. So whether you live nearby or on vacation, make it a point to dine there.“

“Wow just wow! Food was amazing and portions are enormous! My family of 4 usually shares a pancake and one other item such as the hot potatoes bowl or a savory crepe! If you want to change the protein in anything just ask! We do not eat pork and they accommodate us and even make our items on a clean grill and change their gloves! Not many places will do this! The owner is almost always there and he is cooking or making coffee. The entire staff is friendly and after just 3 visits remembered us and knew our coffee likes. Thanks Cody and crew for an amazing place to treat our family with food and coffee!“

“the restaurant is located in ocean jewels resort . the restaurant is extremely clean. I have food allergies an the lady let me read the labels , made my hamburger with cheese no bun. I substituted a fruit cup for French fries. that was a bit skimpy, even tho I paid a $ additional $3.00. my husband ordered BLT, he was happy with it . a bit pricey but the food is excellent and it's very clean. the only issue I had was the trainee perhaps? eating a biscuit right behind the counter“

I’ve been going to this iconic vintage Dairy Queen outlet for the last 20 years. It is THE Dairy Queen for the New Smyrna Beach area, and if you’re driving through and need something, sweet or salty, you won’t regret stopping by.
A number of years ago, they purchased the property next-door and created more shaded parking areas, so there’s usually plenty of spaces available. They also added more outdoor seating, all nicely shaded with huge umbrellas.
If you go on a Wednesday, like I did this week, don’t be surprised if there’s a short wait in the line, because on Wednesdays they have their “$1.99 Banana Split Special”, and they are popular! (Insider tip: Ask for the sprinkled nuts as an extra topping.)
They have other specials every day of the week, see the list below.
To top it all off, their servers are smiling, happy, friendly people, who will make you feel like you just stepped back in time to the 1970s, when life was simple and wonderful, and when people interacted with EACH OTHER, instead of with a metal & glass contraption that you had glued to your hand. “My wife and I had an event in New Smyrna Beach and decided to try this restaurant afterwards and were quite pleased. It had been our list of NSB restaurants to try when in NSB (we live in nearby Daytona Beach). It is a fairly large restaurant with both inside and out side seating. After ordering some house $5 margaritas and pursuing the menu, we decided on a fried goat cheese starter dish that we both enjoyed. My wife had the parmesan crusted mahi and really liked it. I had the Swamp Pasta with blackened chicken, shrimp, sausage and it was very good. They were both large portions so no room for dessert this time although the dessert menu looked very good. I also read that the Sunday Brunch is very popular and the server told us when asked it had been voted best brunch if NSB for 3 years in a row. We intend to come and give brunch a try also.“

“We went to Caribbean Jacks while on vacation, and were not disappointed. The food was wonderful, and the service was fantastic. This is not the reason for the review however. When we contacted the restaurant about a possible lost credit card, Chris and the rest of his staff went above and beyond by locating the card, then personally mailing it to our home. Now that’s service!“

“Their product is very good, however, I suggest you review the menu online and know what you want because it’s a drive-through only with no clear concise full menu posted.
Also being a drive-through it’s very tight if you have a larger vehicle.“
