“Since I live in Ponce Inlet, I've been to Down the Hatch many times and have always found their seafood to be so fresh all the time. This time I had my sons visiting me from St. Louis, they wanted to eat at the best restaurant for seafood, and of course, we went right here and it didn't disappoint. They especially loved the shecrab soup with the sherry on the side. It was scrumptious. Their dinners were wonderful, as well as the desserts. Needless to say, we went home with plenty of leftovers. Steve, the server was great. All in all, it was a perfect night. So whether you live nearby or on vacation, make it a point to dine there.“

“Wow just wow! Food was amazing and portions are enormous! My family of 4 usually shares a pancake and one other item such as the hot potatoes bowl or a savory crepe! If you want to change the protein in anything just ask! We do not eat pork and they accommodate us and even make our items on a clean grill and change their gloves! Not many places will do this! The owner is almost always there and he is cooking or making coffee. The entire staff is friendly and after just 3 visits remembered us and knew our coffee likes. “the restaurant is located in ocean jewels resort . the restaurant is extremely clean. I have food allergies an the lady let me read the labels , made my hamburger with cheese no bun. I substituted a fruit cup for French fries. that was a bit skimpy, even tho I paid a $ additional $3.00. my husband ordered BLT, he was happy with it . a bit pricey but the food is excellent and it's very clean. the only issue I had was the trainee perhaps? eating a biscuit right behind the counter“

I’ve been going to this iconic vintage Dairy Queen outlet for the last 20 years. It is THE Dairy Queen for the New Smyrna Beach area, and if you’re driving through and need something, sweet or salty, you won’t regret stopping by.
A number of years ago, they purchased the property next-door and created more shaded parking areas, so there’s usually plenty of spaces available. They also added more outdoor seating, all nicely shaded with huge umbrellas.
If you go on a Wednesday, like I did this week, don’t be surprised if there’s a short wait in the line, because on Wednesdays they have their “$1.99 Banana Split Special”, and they are popular! (Insider tip: Ask for the sprinkled nuts as an extra topping.)

To top it all off, their servers are smiling, happy, friendly people, who will make you feel like you just stepped back in time to the 1970s, when life was simple and wonderful, and when people interacted with EACH OTHER, instead of with a metal & glass contraption that you had glued to your hand. The only thing that would improve it would be to expand, add live music and a classy place to dance.“

“We tried this local restaurant today for the first time. The food was terrific, cooked perfectly. The “fish camp fixings” was a nice addition. Our server was friendly and efficient. We dined outside to enjoy the beautiful day. The children’s playground out there seemed out of place. It took away from the esthetics of the place and the whole dining experience.“

“Wow. Every year, every visit is above and beyond. Today we chose a ceasar salad which was fresh and delicious, we enjoyed our complimentary hot bread with our salads. Next up the pasta flight. This dish was outstanding. spaghetti, meatball, chicken Alfredo and pesto pasta topped with burrata cheese. My husband loved his Stramboli. Skylee was our server she was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and preparation of the dishs and she makes fantastic drinks. We Had the best experience. Highly recommend Ciao Bella“
