“We had dinner at Siegfried's Restaurant on Feb. 26th - our third meal there and we always leave with big smiles on our faces. The schnitzel and sauerbraten are both excellent, as are the sides and desserts. The staff is warm and engaging and we were so happy to meet and speak with the chef/owner. The restaurant is in one of the cozy-looking cottages on Fruitville Rd and is the perfect setting for this authentic German restaurant. Service was very good. Everything arrived timely hot, and the waiter did not hover have eaten at hundreds of restaurants and this is one of the better onesnot exceptionally expensive and in a mall but quite good food and service and I highly recommend.“

“Beautiful romantic upscale place is nearly all vegan with a few options for carnivores. This worked out well for my friend and me, and she loved all the things we tried. I have got to attempt making rice tots. Great wine list too. We liked it so much that we did a delivery a few days later, and it was amazingly fast. Very creative sushi. And we took home the blueberry cheesecake, so decadent. What a lovely downtown Sarasota has.“

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and our server, Weylon, provided excellent service—attentive and genuinely kind, which made the evening even more special.

“Quality of food. Life long member of the owners from Adrian Michigan. I don’t understand when I read comments as for “not authentic Mexican ingredients”. Does the sign not say “Tex-Mex”? In Adrian Michigan we have a large migrant population that prefers other Mexican restaurants over the grasshopper. Huge reason is that the taste buds of visiting Mexicans are used to hot, very hot. As I live here in Mexico I cannot sample any hot sauce because it’s too hot. So I bring my own hot sauce with me when I eat out. I don’t consider the menu as Tex Mex. The family founders brought recipes from Mexico but again, had to tone down the spicy seasoning for the northerners. HOWEVER, if you ask for the extra hot seasoning, they will make you a dishes that will set your mouth on fire upon request. I can’t explain the next topic, but that no one has complained but their menu prices that seem to never increase. As for the cheese dipping sauce? I haven’t been to the Sarasota location. But it’s a wise-tail in Adrian that the cook staff has to sign NDA’s just to know the recipe. Everyone has tried to replicate it but no one has ever gotten it correct. Linda/co-owner has been a lifelong full-time employee that worked every day beside her now ex husband that runs and operates the original Adrian Michigan establishment where his parents created the restaurant. She only hires the best staff and the staff are lifelong dedicated employees. In Adrian, no one visits for the decorations or environment because it’s nothing close to impressive, they visit for the food and service and the staff that brings you refills before knowing that you need one.“

“Great food, large selection of good beer, and family friendly. They have games for the kids (Jenga and Uno etc), and quite a lot of seating inside and out. It was a bit loud in parts of the restaurant but we found a quieter room that worked well. Service was fast and friendly (counter ordering only)“

“If you’re looking for an amazing spot for fresh ceviche, this is the place we’ve gone here a couple times and every single time it is spot on it is hot fresh delicious the service except is exceptional and the restaurant is super cute and authentic. I would say out of all the Peruvian ceviche places in Sarasota County. This one would be considered the more expensive one, but definitely worth every single penny.“

“I read the reviews online (I’m from out of state) and couldn’t be happier w the cake I ordered for my father’s 80th birthday. The customer service was outstanding, especially the woman who I met in the store when I picked up my order. She was such a lovely person and so helpful. She helped me pick out some other pastries and helped me carry my goodies to the car. The chocolate buttercream frosting on the cake reminded me of the icing my grandfather used to make. “With only eight tables and reservations in constant demand, we somehow managed to secure a weekend spot by calling more than a month in advance. I was genuinely grateful just to be there. They seated us at a little two top tucked into the corner by the window. Normally I am not a fan of two-seaters because they can feel like an afterthought. But this one felt intentional. From our spot we could see the whole intimate dining room and watch the chef cooking away. It felt cozy, not cramped.

We started with a bottle of white and two appetizers that set the tone immediately. The tuna tartare was bright and fresh, perfectly balanced. The sausage over spinach and broccoli was warm and rustic and full of flavor. Simple ingredients done really, really well.

I especially love that they wheel the menus over on chalkboards instead of handing you a printed menu. Our server Gus was great and carefully explained each item. You can tell the chef works with whatever is best that day. That detail alone says a lot.

My husband, who is very picky about pasta, ordered the lobster pappardelle in red sauce with a little kick. He was thrilled. I had the shrimp and lobster pappardelle in a sauce that I honestly cannot even describe properly. It was just incredible. Rich but balanced. Every bite made me pause.

Everything was marvelous. I have not enjoyed a meal that much since Florence. And finding that kind of experience here in Florida felt like a little gift.“
