“Good place for Trinidad food - boneless chicken (curry) roti and doubles are my regulars. You can also find Carib beer and Solo among other favorite Carinbean soft drinks. There is some seating but prefer take out. Price of roti is about ten dollars and they take cash only. Definitely recommend you try this tasty food“

“The food at El Metropol Miami was out of this world. We’ve gone to the Puerto Rico locations and this one is at par or even better. This will be our new first stop when returning to Miami. Perfect blend of Cuban and Puerto Rican culture just like our family. Service was so friendly and professional, felt like you were talking to an old friend. Our server Katrina made us feel welcomed and created an instant connection. Arroz mamposteao and tostones de pana were the highlight of our meal.“

“Great food and atmosphere! My faves on the menu are the authentic Jamaican jerk pork and chicken with festival or bammy, the seafood platter is to die for, and the oxtail is boss! The cocktail choices are also ridiculously amazing!“
“Gave this place a try and definitely was not disappointed. The food was beyond amazing and the employees were extremely nice. We were traveling from Boston and were looking for some authentic food. Ended up going to eat there twice during our stay. Will definitely go back when we return to Miami.“

“A plus if you speak and understand espanol as that is the primary form of communication here. Stopped in the evening for a game of pool, they have 2 tables. Not a large place, but large enough for a small to 20ish person gathering, seemed like they just had beer, but at good prices $4 for a modelo and the service was fantastic. They treat you like family. Not a super large parking lot, so if you come at a busier time I think you might have to find on street parking.“

“My wife and I came back a second time on our short visit because it was so good! The bacon was AMAZING!! She had both the pancake and the French toast (on different days) and both were fantastic. Friendly servers and atmosphere. Strong coffee! All the stars given!“

Determined to give the place another chance, I returned and was pleased to find that the service had significantly improved. The waitress greeted me with a warm smile and engaged in friendly conversation, making me feel more welcome this time. She was not only helpful but also knowledgeable, recommending several other Jamaican bakeries and restaurants in the area that I might enjoy exploring.

“The food here is very good and the servers are so kind. The only thing that I really didn't like is that they don't really check up on you until you are completed with your meal. The area is so beautiful but I think it is in a strange spot because it is in the lobby of the Marriott. The Hurricane Drink that I had was not mixed well and it had WAY too much alcohol in it and not a good mix of everything else. My husband had the burger and he said it honestly isn't anything to write home about and I ended up with the alfredo which really wasn't that bad at all. Would I recommend this place? Maybe if you were in a hurry and didn't want to leave the hotel. Otherwise it honestly is just average.“

“It's a beautiful environment. The servers are skilled and friendly. The menu is a bit limited and unadventurous, but the food itself is quite good and the portions are large (if you're with kids younger than teenage have them split a sandwich). Prices are reasonable, in the Hilton/Marriott range (i.e., a lot less than what we expected given the luxurious nature of the place).“
