“Absolutely incredible experience at this sushi restaurant! The service was top-notch - the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel like royalty. The chic decor added to the ambiance, making it a perfect spot for a night out. But the real stars of the show were the dishes! The watermelon pork belly appetizer was OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. And the truffle rainbow roll? Perfect in every way. 🍣👌 We'll definitely be back again to try more of their delicious offerings. “It's been a while since I've had top-level sushi. Fitting it was at Chef David's other restaurant, Sushi By Bou. This omakase was a very relaxed 2 hour seating, with remarkable views of the ocean and the north Miami skyline. I found myself thrown back in my chair with the incredible layered flavors of the almost never-ending fresh fish. The cocktails were nuanced, and the atmosphere was filled with pure happiness. I'll definitely find myself coming back here often!“

“The first time I went to Ogawa, it was on a fluke at the suggestion of a friend of mine who had been there before. I had no idea what to expect. I walked into a very petite intimate restaurant with only. 11 seats. The experience from start to finish was extraordinary. As a New Yorker, who is also in the hospitality business, I have high standards especially around sushi and Japanese cuisine. The food, wine and sake pairings and attention to detail were outstanding. Each course was better than the next. We met the sushi chef, the culinary chef and the owner. They were so lovely and made our experience so special. I look forward to my next visit.“

“Great sushi spot with incredibly fresh fish, everything we tried was tender, flavorful, and practically melted in the mouth. The ambiance is low-key and more on the fast-casual side, but it’s lively and bustling in a fun way.

Another bonus is the location: there are plenty of shops around, so it’s perfect for a walk right after your meal. Overall, a great choice if you want high-quality sushi without the formality.“

I feel after the pandemic, it's really changed the service force. It was such a fresh breath of air to have such an amazing time and service! I had a party of 11 of us for my birthday, and we were treated with smiles, and taken care of like kings. The food was phenomenal! Some of the most beautiful, fresh seafood I have ever had in my entire life. I've been traveling seven years full-time, and I will definitely be coming back just to eat here! The patio is absolutely gorgeous! It will soon be right on the ocean once they are finishing some construction! “I don’t normally write reviews but left Aoko last night pleasantly surprised. I usually stick to my go to sushi spots but tried something new and thank goodness I did. This low key but still extremely elevated spot is a great spot for date night. Come dressed up or come as you are (I was in athleisure), the vibe lends itself to whatever you’re in the mood for!

The food was phenomenal and couldn’t believe they had cold soba noodles (Cha Soba Salad) on the menu… Miami has finally leveled up lol! I have to go to NY typically to get my fix of delicious cold soba noodles!

Now the service was also incredible-they allowed us to try a few sake options before we decided which was very generous. Servers are extremely kind and add to the vibe 100%. We showed up with no reservations and they kindly let us sit down. There are only few tables so a resi is recommended or come early.

Everything about this experience was 10/10 and this may be my new go to Friday spot! Miami, let’s keep these folks booked and busy because this is a gooood one. Need more authentic spots like this.

Oh and the matcha crème brûlée is also a must!!!!! Love it there. Thx goodness I live so close.

Price was also right ~$120 without tip for 2 and a bottle of sake is pretty unheard of these days. Quality of fish and everything was phenomenal.“

“This is truly a hidden gem in Miami. The best sushi I have had in this city has been this restaurant. I have came here twice and both times the sushi and service has been excellent. The quality is amazing and everything on the menu is refreshing and delicious. My favorite item is the spicy tuna crispy rice and I loved the spicy trio. The fried cheesecake was an amazing finish to the meal. Also the pad Thai I had on my second visit was amazing and I will definitely be coming back all the time. Definitely a must visit destination for anyone in Miami looking for good sushi“

I'd recommend the Combo 2. It's a large amount of sushi for a reasonable price. If you are hosting a date for 2 at home and want a lot that you can make 2 large plates from its exactly what I'd recommend.

For a group I'd get the larger Combo or 2 of the #2.“

“Not a big sushi eater so I went for the experience. It is a soeakeasy, so that was cool. The food was good overall. The service started out strong but then slowed down drastically, I'm not sure why. We were there for 3+ hours, so keep that in mind. Besides that I thoroughly enjoyed the vibes and ambiance of the establishment.“

“My friend and I came here for lunch bc they only open midday until 6pm. Everything was delicious. The salmon nigiri was the best I’ve ever had. Deep fried baby octopus. Yum! House salad yum! The only thing I didn’t like was that a guy brought his dog in. I think it’s unsanitary to bring a dog into a small restaurant where you are prepping food right there. Please leave pets at home!“

I ordered an Uber Eats to pick up at the Wynwood location but ordered from Aventura by accident! They were already closing the local shop here in Lynnwood but they just substituted my order I didn't have to cancel anything on my credit card and even though everything was put away they still filled my order and we're going to eat tonight!“
