We ordered gyoza and spring rolls, strawberry smoothy, dumpling ramen, chicken pad thai (no peanut), a crazy looking steak sushi roll and server suggestion, yummy roll. It was all soo delicious!! Super fresh. Service is great also. Checking in, refilli g water. Cute design inside. Background music loud enough to hear, low enough to hear people at your table. Large bathrooms (good for wheelchair access). Cant wait to try different rolls and platters!!“

“I cannot believe I had one of the best sushi in a food hall at the Miami Design District. The fish melts in your mouth and it combined so well with the sauces. I usually always order spicy mayo on the side, but it was not needed for this roll. We liked it so much that we had to buy it again. Not because we were hungry but it was just that delicious. I also tried the Wagyu hand roll and it was fantastic as well. I also loved the service and cleanliness from the place. I will definitely return to here to have this special roll again.“

With that I will add that for people who don’t eat shellfish you can’t change the “experience” option on the menu which was unfortunate because we were 3 people and 2 of us don’t eat shellfish and we wanted all to take the same so we could eat at the same time .

I asked for the vegan box listed on the menu, but was told they did not have all the ingredients to make the usual dishes, so the chef Kevin created a menu just for me. I am technically pescatarian, so a few of the dishes had fish sauce, but he would have easily accommodated me with a vegan or vegetarian menu as well. Dining at Omakai felt more like a carefully choreographed performance than just dinner, every plate arrived with beautiful presentation and the staff was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. The sushi itself was outstanding, with some of the freshest fish I’ve had anywhere in South Florida, and while everything we ordered was excellent, the tuna and eel truly stood out. If someone blindfolded you and handed you a single bite from here, you’d instantly know you were somewhere special. Easy five stars.“
