“My new favorite sushi place in Miami. This restaurant is a true treasure, with a variety of delicious options and impressive presentation.
This was my second visit and I had to repeat the -Bonsai Antojitos- which is undoubtedly a delight for the palate. The -Bao Picahnas- has a soft fusion for its meat and crunchy for its chips. The -Fuji Roll:- Fresh and crunchy and without a doubt the -Tropical Roll- is an explosion of flavors and colors.
Paulette's service was exceptional, attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was cozy and modern. Highly recommended for any sushi lover! This place is a gem in the heart of Miami.“

“This place is absolutely unbelievable. My friends and I stumbled upon it almost a year ago when we were looking for a new sushi spot and we have been obsessed ever since. The food is divine and consistently delicious. The service and atmosphere is always fantastic. The staff is so friendly and the manager, Hayes, brings amazing energy to this spot! If there’s any place your looking to go out to eat, it should be Sushi Bichi!! I really could not recommend it more.“

“I recently tried their chicken gyoza and lychee salmon sushi, and I have to say, both were absolutely delicious. The pricing was also quite reasonable, especially compared to other restaurants in Miami. The ambiance was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. Overall, it was worth every dollar!“

“This sushi restaurant is located in the food court of a high-end mall and offers ``omakase'' meals, so it was easy to visit even with children.
The price was quite reasonable for an "omakase" menu, but it was the most delicious sushi I've ever had in America. The staff at the store were friendly and the service was good.
I will definitely visit again if I go to Miami.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Bar, and it was truly a standout experience. From the moment I stepped in, I could tell it would be more than just a meal—it was an experience. The ambiance was welcoming, with the chefs preparing each dish with precision and care right in front of us. The food itself was phenomenal. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I can't recommend Sushi Bar enough. It's not just about the food but the artistry and attention to detail that make it special. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for something exceptional!“

“We ate at the chefs counter and had the “off the menu” omakase which included an appetizer, a selection of nigiri, miso soup and a dessert. There’s no official sake pairing but the chef does give a recommendation. We love omakase and have it regularly. Chef Tomo is a delight and truly passionate about his menu. The nigiri was very fresh and was not served “plain”, but was topped with various ingredients or flame broiled. This gave some new flavors we had not been exposed to, some may say this is less traditional. However, it was delicious. The appetizer was so good, topped with uni, need I say more. The food and chef counter vibe were 5 stars no doubt. The front of house leaves a lot to be desired. They were on their phones most of the time, had no clue what sake was on the menu or what to recommend, unable to name the fish, weren’t working in a way that seems “high end” or with superior service, in fact they don’t seem to care about this job or restaurant at all which is sad since they are essentially the face of the place. There’s so much potential here.“

“Excellent attention. I forgot the name of the young woman. But today, Thursday, November 14, an exceptional young woman attended us. We had a while since someone didn't serve us with such kindness, smile, always asking if we were okay, fast service. I would definitely return. The pizza roll was very good, the crab salad was delicious. The white Vine is excellent.“

“Faux-makase! (Fake omakase) is exactly what it is. Self proclaimed “non traditional omakase.” Also know as slow-makase. Nossa deserves a noose-a. I was recommended this restaurant by my hotel concierge. Had a horrible experience here. Should have known since they require pre-payment online via tock which actually codes as professional services and not a restaurant so they avoid the credit card fees. By the way, they will ask you to pay a ridiculous and mandatory 20% service charge plus tax after your “meal.” After payment, you will receive an email which says “The day of your reservation you will receive an email with instructions to access to the speakeasy bar.” However, I never received any email. I put nossa into google and it took me to the filthy, run down Hyatt centric hotel. I went inside and asked where the restaurant was and they took me through a stinky alley next to the hotel trash room said to knock the door. This made me extremely uncomfortable and almost decided to just leave. Little did I know the horror I was about to experience. I knocked the door and a lady asked for the password so I gave my last name on the reservation. She didn’t open and kept asking for a password. I demanded she open the door and gave my last name on the reservation. She said I should have received instructions on a paper from another restaurant on the other side of the street which I was not informed of. She said I was late and that they already started so she showed me to my seat. The room felt like a sewer with too many people crammed around a dirty scratched up bar. I was in group 11 which means there were at least 20 guests there. The music was horrendous and unbearable. The ambiance was very creepy. The staff smelled really bad. I was offered a welcome drink which I opted for a sparking water which was not sparking at all as it was flat without bubbles so they brought me a bottle instead. They didn’t ask about any allergies and handed me the first course which I had to spit out because it contained alcohol which I don’t drink. The chef kept inaudibly shouting out the descriptions of the dishes for each course towards different corners of the room in an attempt for everyone to hear but you only hear and understand the words which were said in your direction. All the ingredients were old and not fresh. The food did not taste good. The portions were tiny so don’t think you’ll be full when you leave here by any means. The place is extremely unsanitary. The chef even wipes your plates using the same towel as the previous groups one after another. I was absolutely disgusted. Finally the last course came and again I was served alcohol without being told what it was. Luckily the chef caught it before I could drink it and replaced it with iced tea. I asked if we’re were finished and she said yes. The experience was a complete waste of time so we were happy to walk out and leave. The lady chased us on our way out and said there was an additional payment to be made for gratuity and tax. I asked if this was mandatory and she answered yes. Mind you this was never communicated before. She also said she didn’t have a wireless credit card machine so I gave her my physical card to go swipe and come back. The chef came out, handed me my receipt and credit card then asked: “Is there a reason why you’re unhappy.” I answered: Yes, I didn’t enjoy the experience. He shrugged his shoulders and replied: “I’m sorry but unfortunately not everybody does, I guess” I was shocked and just stormed out. Exit left next to the trash room, literally.“

“Sushi was ok for this restaurant format, portions were on the smaller side but tasty enough to compensate. The service was friendly and with an ok speed for pickup considerin there were many orders from 3Ps. Atmosphere is fine for a non-commercial area so could be an option to consider when looking for something more low key.“

“Sesame Asian is pretty far from me but I have been seeing promos so I took the leap and tried it. I arrived on Friday night and there was plenty of parking in the parking lot. I had friends who had already arrived so we met them in a booth. The con about this part - we didn't see a server for 20 minutes. We had a canteen of water on the table but no water glasses. My guest and I were pretty thirsty for these 20 minutes. We didn't see the original server my friends had seen so we just flagged someone.
Food - pretty impressive for the price. You get unlimited lobster, crab legs, raw oysters, sushi, hot food, dimsum and dessert. They did include a menu where each paying guest can choose one item out of the 4 items they had to be freshly cooked for your table. I went with the creamy udon pasta and my guest chose the lobster. We didn't like that the lobster on the buffet was a full lobster where we had to break it ourselves and that it was cold. When it's cold, the meat is a bit tougher. The oysters were delicious but they didn't have any vinaigrette to pair with. Sushi and sashimi was good. Dimsum were in heated bamboo trays and were decent. The hot food did have a few items that look interesting such as sesame chicken and bulgogi but these items looked overcooked sitting in a heater.
I would say I definitely got my money's worth with a full lobster and oysters. I also really loved the creamy udon pasta and would come back ASAP for that! I did appreciate the scissors and crackers they left next to the lobster because we needed that to break our lobster. It was a lot of work. Last, they brought dessert out to us. We received strawberry ice cream, passion fruit shaved ice, chocolate cheesecake and macarons. I don't think they necessarily go together but we split this and it was a sweet ending.“

“It’s always a pleasure every time I dine in. The bartender, Jhojan, recommended ‘La Chula with a Twist,’ his specialty cocktail AND BOY! it knocked the socks of my feet, it was so good. 11/10 recommend. Also, I have never gone wrong with any of their food dishes, including my favorite ‘Butter Krab Roll.’“

“We had an absolutely amazing dinner here. Unassuming, intimate restaurant that easily accommodated our party of five. I asked for the vegan box listed on the menu, but was told they did not have all the ingredients to make the usual dishes, so the chef Kevin created a menu just for me. He was so creative, inventive, and excited about every dish he brought out of the kitchen, and each one was more delicious than the last. I am technically pescatarian, so a few of the dishes had fish sauce, but he would have easily accommodated me with a vegan or vegetarian menu as well. It was honestly one of the most incredible dining experiences I have ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Miami/ Coral Gables area.“

“Very good sushi in a simple location with a good vibe. The high pricing feels off given the simplicity of the setting, and definitely precludes many residents on the island from eating here with greater frequency. Well worth it if you are on Key Biscayne and not concerned with $$.“

“Very inviting in a small corner restaurant with outdoor seating. Setup very elegant and great atmosphere! You get what you pay for and in my opinion quality food. Very generous with portions and ingredients...a must visit if you're in the area. Hostess was amazing and friendly by the name of Maria.
Parking: Parking along the street, in small part of the city...well worth trying the restaurant with little shops in the area.“

“We had an excellent experience at Sushi by Scratch! The quality of fish was premium and we enjoyed the sake pairings immensely curated by the sommelier. 17 courses of deliciousness with a variety of flavors. We left with full tummies and a smile on our faces.
We loved the darker, intimate vibe, and music. We really felt as if we were dining in secret! The experience is what you make of it, so I’d recommend interacting with the other diners and the lovely chefs and sommelier. We learned interesting facts about their crafts simply by asking the team who seemed happy to share. The welcome hostess was also incredibly inviting.
It’s an experience and I would recommend it to my friends! I will say, I know not everyone may be willing to pay the price (with the add ons, it racks up). But if you’re in a position to do so, go for it! It’s a delicious meal and a wonderful experience.“
