“Seriously the yummiest fresh sashimi and sushi. We enjoyed the Wakame salad and riceless Salmon roll which we switched in Hamachi - all was super fresh and exquisite! Thank you to our knowledgeable server Gregory who cared for our ever need. Whenever in Coconut Grove Miami FL this place is a must!“
“I love this spot! I've been coming here for happy hour for a while now, the crispy avocado rice is my favorite item on the menu and the drinks are amazing. The food comes out so quickly and the service was incredible. Our server Mariana was so on top of things and elevated the whole experience.“
“Ronald was super nice and recommended some awesome dishes to us. He recommended the sampler which was divine. we tried a lot of things for the first time. Everyone made sure we were well taken care of. We will definitely be coming back again on our next trip to miami!“
“You guys will have a gastronomical orgasm here. From the sushi to the dessert I wanted to cry tears of joy with each bite. You guys remember when the restaurant critic had a bite of Remy’s ratatouille and it took him back to his childhood when he was just a lad, that’s what will happen to you here.“
“I was in town for a quick visit and I am so glad this was my dinner stop. The ambiance is great! It’s very quiet and well decorated. The seating is supportive of any kind of nice dinner you’d like to have with others—from business meetings to dates. Our waiter was really helpful in walking us through the menu and made great recommendations both in dishes not to miss and what was a reasonable amount of food. The cocktails were solid and varied enough that there was something for everyone. The mushroom in brown butter sauce and the lobster Alfredo are both stand out dishes not to be missed. This one is definitely worth your time.“
“Such an incredible atmosphere of being sat by the river. The staff was extremely attentive in the food came out very quickly. I was blown away by the quality and presentation. Everything was its own unique experience, including a wasabi and pineapple martini a must try. Ming will take care of you!“
“Been coming here for years, never fails to disappoint. Nice seeing the same friendly faces, Sandy is really kind very attentive. Food is always amazing. My kids love the gyoza but the wings right now are soooo good. We always end it with the Thai donuts!“
“Great service and tasty sushi . Our server was really helpful and advised us on the best options. Definitely must do againDietary restrictions: Told the server I cannot have shrimp options and she provided a very tasty sushi option which I thoroughly enjoyed.“
“The food here was incredible and the customer service was fantastic. I truly enjoyed the braised mushroom dish, and the vegan sushi rolls. The bartender made me a custom drink with yuzu and mezcal that was vibrant and fresh. This is a great place for vegans and vegetarians, and also has options for meat eaters. I had wonderful conversations with the bar staff and Brian, and look forward to returning to Azabu.“
“Very nice experience! Great for date night we went around 9 on a Sunday and it felt like a private dining experience. The waitress was very knowledgeable about everything and very personable. The food was fabulous we got the Caesar salad, seafood risotto, and chicken scallopini. Will definitely go back we dug into our mains so fast we forgot to take pictures!“
“Sabrina was such a great waitress! She helped me with making excellent decisions with my dinner options and everything was amazing! She was super responsive, checked in on me, was friendly, and overall gave me a great dining experience! The food was delicious and came quickly! 10/10 recommend and if you have a chance, ask for Sabrina to take care of you!“
“The experience was above and beyond the expectations. The sushi quality and presentation was Japan level and the attention to detail by everyone was amazing. Even the presentation of the sushi ordered to go was incredible. The experience exceeded expectations. “7.9/10 Dined on 3/11/24 Originally hailing from Austin, Uchi's Miami outpost serves non-traditional Japanese cuisine in a sleek and upscale environment. Uchi kind of feels like what Nobu was 15 years ago - an innovative twist on Japanese food. At Uchi, however, you won't find seemingly ubiquitous spicy mayo or rock shrimp tempura. We went for happy hour and sampled nearly all of the hot and cold dishes offered. Many were well conceptualized and delicious, but some fell a bit flat. Even happy hour was a four dollar sign affair, so we can only imagine the sticker shock of a full fledged dinner. Overall, Uchi was a very solid meal although the flavors did not soar quite as high as the price tag. See our full review on Instagram @twogaysthreetakes ________________________________ Oysters beet mignonette, orange Sake Tartare atlantic salmon, apple, nori chip Paloma Crudo suzuki, mescal zu, finger lime Walu Walu oak grilled escolar, candied citrus, yuzupon Crispy Rice gyutoro, broccoli, salsa macha, shallot Wagyu Gyoza chili crisp, mango chutney Spring Rolls duck confit, braised cabbage, spicy ponzu Karaage chicken thigh, sweet chili, seasonal pickles Fried Milk vanilla custard, salted fudge, toasted blondie ________________________________ Overall, I enjoyed our meal at Uchi. There were some dishes that were absolutely delicious - the paloma crudo, for example, which featured ultra-fresh sea bass in a light and smoky sauce. The walu walu was similarly excellent and glazed with sticky sweet candied citrus. The charred short rib served over a bed of crispy rice with flavorful salsa matcha was a treat. The wagyu gyoza were juicy and surprisingly paired well with the mango chutney. Not every dish stood out though. The spring rolls with duck confit were minuscule and lackluster for the price and the sauce was far too thin to cling to the rolls. The chicken karaage was inconsistent - some pieces were crisp while others lacked breading and felt soggy. The fried milk dessert was good, but its arrival with the check was tacky and soured the end of an otherwise pleasant meal. -TWP ________________________________ Uchi happy hour is basically just bougie girl dinner. We got half off a bottle of sparkling rosé and a series of small bites that ranged a bit in their quality, but on average were well-conceptualized and featured top notch ingredients. The raw seafood stood out for being extremely fresh and were often paired with an interesting citrus-forward sauce. The crispy rice and gyutoro was also very tasty and well-executed and felt like the best value on the menu. Some other items, notably the spring rolls with duck confit, felt really skimpy for their price and didn't wow us in any particular way. Overall, Uchi offers creative dishes and excellent ingredients, but lacks the value and consistency of our highest-rated restaurants. -JB“
“We recently dined at Pez Vaca and had a memorable experience overall. Andrea, our waitress, provided exceptional service and offered excellent recommendations. “Wonderful restaurant, plentiful and quality food. The waiter André served us so well, answered our questions and recommended only good things for us. It's not cheap, but you get quality and quantity! Go ahead, you won't regret it!“
“As always, the service food and ambience I always make this place when I come to Miami for anything. They are open until 5 AM and at midnight I had pork to Ramen at midnight meal! My server, Henry was cordial, professional, and allowed me to have my privacy, uninterrupted, for my single dinner. Highly Recommended!Dietary restrictions: I appreciate it that the waiter asked me if I had any allergies although my meal didn’t have anything that could be allergen. That was conscientious. A good thing“
“During my previous visit /delivery weeks ago I had an issue with my order. The manager Julio Carreno went above and beyond to make sure this time I would be highly satisfied and my order would be perfect and he would hand deliver it himself to make sure everything was done correctly. I must say he's a man of his word and made everything perfect. On top of the wonderful service and great tasting sushi, I received a dessert and a bag of corn nuts. Thanks again Julio for everything, I appreciate you.“
“This is my 2nd visit to Sokai but this makes it my first at this location. From the service provided by Orianna, to the food & drinks, the atmosphere, all is just a perfect place to come and visit. Highly recommend when you come in ask for Orianna.“
“I recently enjoyed dining again at Sushi Bichi, a casual culinary experience that exceeded all my expectations. The outdoor atmosphere and festive diners perfectly combined for an early Saturday dinner. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the visit. The sushi at Sushi Bichi is nothing short of spectacular. Each piece is a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The freshness of the fish is evident in every bite, and the skill of the sushi chefs is truly impressive. Whether traditional or creative rolls, each dish is a delightful surprise for the taste buds. I enjoyed the yellowtail and the crispy rice, which were more than enough to fill me up. In addition to the fantastic sushi, Sushi Bichi's drink selection was excellent. The Watermelon cocktail is delicious (and packs a punch). The sake menu was extensive, offering a variety of choices to complement the meal perfectly if that is your thing. I particularly enjoyed the recommendations from the knowledgeable staff, who were attentive and friendly throughout the evening. The bar was very busy and lively at 5 pm, so I would recommend it for post-beach (which is within walking distance) or after-work cocktails. Overall, my two experiences at Sushi Bichi were flawless. The combination of exceptional sushi, excellent drinks, and top-notch service makes this restaurant a true gem in Japanese cuisine. The locals love this place, so give it a try. I highly recommend Sushi Bichi to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. This is a place for casual fun and excellent sushi, whether you're alone or with a group. You will feel welcomed and make sure to come hungry. Reservations recommended.“
“What a great experience! Right in South Miami! Our waitress, Karen, was amazing! Very attentive and extremely helpful with the menu and drinks. She recommended the Omakase Signature to share. It comes with a variety of sushi. Compliments to the chef, it was exactly what we wanted and needed. 100% recommend coming down and seeing Karen and enjoying the delicious food and atmosphere!“
“It was a interesting mix of food cultures- amazing food. The sushi here was tasty, unique and quite fresh. Would recommend this place for anyone willing to try new food fusion and lovers of sushi. I loved the atmosphere and the music was very inviting.“
“SuViche in Doral is gorgeous. I love the ambiance walking in. The interior designer here needs their props. From their gorgeous walls to their hanging egg chairs and swings, they give off the perfect date night vibe. It's been a few years since I had SuViche and even then it was at another location so this location really wow'ed me. I didn't know what I wanted to eat so I ordered a few things that sparked my interest. The food here is a 9/10. Delicious! The only reason why I am not giving them 5 stars is because I had an issue - there was a prominent strand of hair in my mahi mahi ceviche. When I told someone, they did not apologize. I told them I just wanted it removed and taken off the check. She asked if I wanted a remake and I said no. I then continued to enjoy the rest of my food. I really enjoyed the light chips they served alongside the tasty salmon tartare. This is something I would order again. My date and I also devoured the bang bang roll. I loved that they placed the shrimp on top instead of inside the roll. Last, I had the lomo saltado bowl with udon noodles. It was overly sauced but had a good flavor. The ratio was off. There were far more noodles than there were of steak tenderloin pieces. But a solid dinner. When the check came, my boyfriend paid it immediately. After he paid it, I asked if they removed the ceviche and he said he didn't check. Long story short, they didn't. They didn't apologize or seem to care enough to remove it off the check for us. We did pay for it and had to contact someone to remove it and refund us that portion. It was annoying but we did have a good night here.“
“We went to the Moshi in South Beach and had an excellent experience. Our waitress, Andreína, was fantastic and gave us excellent recommendations for both food and drink based on our tastes. They lived up to her guidance and we were very grateful! We ate the Kampachi Tiradito, mimo roll, red dragon, pork gyoza broccolini and edamame. For the price, it was a delish and quick dinner for two. Would come again!“
“Loved the sushi that I got. Definitely on the pricey side though. A downside is that they do not make modifications in their sushi which I found weird. My friend who is vegan wanted to take off the cream cheese in the sushi and they said they cannot modify the sushis. So take that into consideration.“
“Our experience on April 16th was superb, starting from the food and ending with the exceptional service. Our wine and water was refilled promptly and consistently ,my chair was gently pulled back when going and coming from the bathroom,to find also a new napkin waiting for me.The ladies on the floor were engaging, polite and passionate.GREAT JOB!.I fully enjoyed my time at Shingo.A big thank you to the chef and team for their dedication.“
“Faux-makase! (Fake omakase) is exactly what it is. Self proclaimed “non traditional omakase.” Also know as slow-makase. Nossa deserves a noose-a. I was recommended this restaurant by my hotel concierge. Had a horrible experience here. Should have known since they require pre-payment online via tock which actually codes as professional services and not a restaurant so they avoid the credit card fees. By the way, they will ask you to pay a ridiculous and mandatory 20% service charge plus tax after your “meal.” After payment, you will receive an email which says “The day of your reservation you will receive an email with instructions to access to the speakeasy bar.” However, I never received any email. I put nossa into google and it took me to the filthy, run down Hyatt centric hotel. I went inside and asked where the restaurant was and they took me through a stinky alley next to the hotel trash room said to knock the door. This made me extremely uncomfortable and almost decided to just leave. Little did I know the horror I was about to experience. I knocked the door and a lady asked for the password so I gave my last name on the reservation. She didn’t open and kept asking for a password. I demanded she open the door and gave my last name on the reservation. She said I should have received instructions on a paper from another restaurant on the other side of the street which I was not informed of. She said I was late and that they already started so she showed me to my seat. The room felt like a sewer with too many people crammed around a dirty scratched up bar. I was in group 11 which means there were at least 20 guests there. The music was horrendous and unbearable. The ambiance was very creepy. The staff smelled really bad. I was offered a welcome drink which I opted for a sparking water which was not sparking at all as it was flat without bubbles so they brought me a bottle instead. They didn’t ask about any allergies and handed me the first course which I had to spit out because it contained alcohol which I don’t drink. The chef kept inaudibly shouting out the descriptions of the dishes for each course towards different corners of the room in an attempt for everyone to hear but you only hear and understand the words which were said in your direction. All the ingredients were old and not fresh. The food did not taste good. The portions were tiny so don’t think you’ll be full when you leave here by any means. The place is extremely unsanitary. The chef even wipes your plates using the same towel as the previous groups one after another. I was absolutely disgusted. Finally the last course came and again I was served alcohol without being told what it was. Luckily the chef caught it before I could drink it and replaced it with iced tea. I asked if we’re were finished and she said yes. The experience was a complete waste of time so we were happy to walk out and leave. The lady chased us on our way out and said there was an additional payment to be made for gratuity and tax. I asked if this was mandatory and she answered yes. Mind you this was never communicated before. She also said she didn’t have a wireless credit card machine so I gave her my physical card to go swipe and come back. The chef came out, handed me my receipt and credit card then asked: “Is there a reason why you’re unhappy.” I answered: Yes, I didn’t enjoy the experience. He shrugged his shoulders and replied: “I’m sorry but unfortunately not everybody does, I guess” I was shocked and just stormed out. Exit left next to the trash room, literally.“
“I have never before had a culinary experience like my time at Hiyakawa. From the moment you walk in you’ll be greeted by Amber and taken to your table, where you’re family. If you’re having trouble deciding on what to order, ask Miguel to give you the Miguelito special, your taste buds with thank you. Don’t sleep on the premier sushi/omakase experience in Miami!“
“OMG!!! Just WOOWW!!!! Please come here if you are by the area! You won’t regret it! The place is absolutely beautiful! The minute you walk in, you feel so at peace and relaxed! Such a beautiful atmosphere and even better service! The food was so quick to come and the waitress and waiter were the kindest and most attentive people ever! I remember the cheesy noodles (I was too hungry to take a pic) but just look at this Nutella crepe!!! BEST ASIAN RESTAURANT!!“
“dali helped me at my dining tonight and must i said what a survive she asked me if i like everything i ate which i thought was a very good survive we definitely will be coming back also i asked what an ingredient was in the tuna tataki which is great by the way and she told me exactly what that ingredient was“
“First time here, and it won't be my last. Amazing food, service, and ambiance! Nicole was our server, and she was a delight. She went above and beyond and made sure we were well taken care of. The hostess was lovely, and the manager came by to check in a few times. I highly recommend this restaurant!Vegetarian options: We had several vegetarian options that were delicious. The saffron corn dim sum was my favorite.Dietary restrictions: There are options for dietary restrictions. And ask your server as well.Parking: We used the valet, which was most convenient.“
“Rakki Sushi offers an exceptional omakase dining experience. Each dish presented by the chef was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the finest ingredients . The intimate setting added to the charm, allowing for a personalized and memorable meal. While it's a bit pricey but worth the price, the quality of the food and service make it a worthwhile splurge for any sushi enthusiast. Highly recommended for those seeking an unforgettable experience“
“Don't hesitate to book a table at this gem of a restaurant—it's quickly become my top choice for sticky rice and omakase dining in the area. It is located in a vibrant area with a spacious courtyard and various shops, and it offers the perfect opportunity for a post-meal exploration or dancing. The 16-course omakase experience here is a standout, especially for someone accustomed to the sushi scenes in NYC. It competes strongly on both quality and price. From the outset, the hostess Caroline set the tone with her warm, attentive service, ensuring my water glass was never empty and making my solo dining experience far from lonely through engaging conversations. The chef, with her Laotian heritage, masterfully prepared each dish, from the hand rolls to the sticky rice selections, adding a personal touch that enhances the dining experience. The variety of dishes was impressive, with the Japanese scallops, the A5 Wagyu hotplate, and the hand rolls being my personal highlights. To finished off the evening, the hostess surprised me with an early birthday desert treat. This, was truly the highlight of my food trip in Miami.Every time I find myself in Miami, this will undoubtedly be my chosen spot for an exceptional dining experience.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant and space has a ramp to enter the space.“
“High-quality sushi, delicious but not very big, a little on the pricey side but very good. Service was very attentive and on point. Had several dishes not seen on other sushi Thai restaurants. My wife had a fried chicken dish. Chicken was a little dry and not too much sauce to help it out. Overall, it was very good.“
“Had amazing experience at this restaurant! The food really exceeded my expectations, especially for being in the middle of Wynwood, I personally haven't had many good dining experiences here. My favorite were the Rock n Roll tempura and the Hoshi Dragon rolls, which were their signature dishes. The fish was fresh, and the dishes were all visually appealing. The service was also excellent, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. I will definitely be coming back!“
“Im hesitant to post this because it’s truly a hidden gem right now but this restaurant/market and chef Takashi deserve their praise. It’s the best and most authentic sushi I have had in Miami. It’s the only nigiri I’ve had that has the proper size and freshness you would expect from good, high quality nigiri. By far the most similar to the nigiri I have had in Japan. No tiny pieces where they’re skimping you out on fish and loading it with rice and sprinkling truffle oil to make a sad piece of nigiri look appealing. This is the real deal and so worth it. Can’t wait to check it out in person“
“We spent almost two hours looking for a place to eat with no reservation a Saturday night and Taikin was our last option thinking it would be super crowded and indeed it was but everything went so smooth we didn’t even notice, the atmosphere was amazing, i recommend the Passionfruit margarita and the Picanha Roll!!! Luis was our server and he was so attentive and gave us good recommendations, we would be back!!!!Luis thank you so much!!! You’re the best!“
“Top secret! Happy hour all day (at the bar)Ask for Lucas or Frenchie (tell ‘em FLEX sent ya!)Be sure to tip well because of the deep discounts!!Georgios (who owns Santorini Greek Restaurant - south of fifth) took over this spot and is really making it shine again.Come check it out!“
“We had the best service I’ve ever had in Miami! Fish was fresh, food was carefully prepared and delicious. Was impressed with the entire experience and really enjoyed the new decor as well. Will make this a stable on my trips to this city. Thank you!“
“Chef Kevin is the man! I wanted to try a new sushi place so l randomly found this one. Based on the pictures and reviews I decided to stop by, beyond happy that I did.Imagine not being able to make up your mind on what to order and then the chef himself comes to help you? Well that's exactly what happened haha.Chef Kevin helped me narrow down from all their delicious options and they were all pretty good. Yes, it tastes as good as it looks. I wish I could remember the names of the rolls right now but I can't ooops. Just show them the pics and they should be able to figure it out. It's located inside a condo/apartment complex in Miami Beach...not the place you'd think has amazing sushi but it does.Service was fast and professional. The restaurant is self was clean too and prices reasonable for the location. You can validate your parking ticket so you only pay about $3 for valet. Make sure to do it before leaving the restaurant.Overall such an awesome place and positive vibe. I loved my whole entire experience and can't wait to stop by again!“
“I absolutely looove this place. It’s really a hidden gem. My waiter Reiny was so nice and she recommended us to try the coco-lemonade and it was so refreshing and delicious. I always get the banana crunch roll and ceviche empanadas and they never disappoint!! Come once and you’ll always come back!!“
“My favorite sushi place in Miami!!! Seriously tops every other restaurant. Freshest fish even when you get takeout. I am obsessed with this place I cannot recommend enough!! Spicy tuna crispy rice and all rolls/ nigiri are amazing. Great price for quality.“
“This was right across the street from our hotel and we thought about trying it a few times. Our Uber driver told us it was great so went the next morning for an early lunch. Our host/server was welcoming and gave us some great advice on the menu. The entire staff was friendly. It’s a small restaurant with a dozen bar stools or so and similar number of tables. Luckily we were there early and it was a holiday so no problem with seating. It was impeccably clean. We shared a few small plates including scallion pancakes, spring rolls and chicken dumplings. The mandarine orange sauce with the spring rolls was yummy. Food came quickly and was hot and fresh. The flavors were amazing. It was the best tasting food we had during our weekend in Miami.“
“Best sushi-train-style restaurant I've been to. Plates float along a continuously replenished river around a central bar and you are free to grab and go as you please. Prices are determined at the end by your stack of plates and each individual plate's color (reference board of prices are on the east wall). They do not take reservations and the small place fills up almost instantly - write your name, leave a number, and head to one of the local bars to grab a drink while you wait. They'll call you and you'll have 3 minutes to arrive or they'll consider it abandoned.Parking is fairly easily found with street parking and muni surface lot behind.Good sake collection, plus an additional menu to order hot items.9.5/10 would recommend!Vegetarian options: I saw a couple of avocado rolls and seaweed salad for sure. I'm guessing the menu has the rest of the options.“
“Enzo is one of the most professional guy I have ever met. He’s always on a good mod , very respectful polite, smile on his face , proper clean uniform and ready for his customers, always knows and remembers what I order and never disappoints, food is excellent and environment absolutely awesome, I’ll recommend this please ? % . 10 stars ⭐️“
“Really wonderful experience here! Food was fresh and came out fairly quickly. One area for improvement: hire additional servers. There was only one girl working. She busted her hump and did great but I can't imagine if the place was busier... she wouldn't have been able to keep up. I think she had at least 6 tables while we were there.“
“Clarine was our server, she was awesome!I loved the dishes! The items that stood out most and are still on my mind is the Pollo Picante, the King Oyster Mushroom Tostadas, and the Tiger roll. The drinks were awesome as well, good potency! I asked Clarine what are some popular cocktails according to what she has seen her guests select. She pointed to the Sawayaka. It was delicious and fit for edging off a hard day at work. The one thing I was unaware of is that the venue has an entertainer, the lady who danced with fire, and the DJ. They both were great and complemented each other in perfect synchronization. Thank you!“
“The best restaurant in Medellín now here in Miami, everything excellent, the food, the atmosphere, the location but above all the attention from Leo and José who made us feel very welcome and were always very attentive. We will be back . Many successes!“
“Such a cool spot! Tucked behind a taco joint, this place has a hidden door that can only be accessed with a code (which is sent to the day of your reservation)Hiden actually means ‘secret’ in Japanese100% worth the money! The food, service and ambiance were top notchThe quality of the fish and all of the ingredients for that matter was astounding. You can easily taste the differenceOUSTANDING!“
“I dine at Sushi Chef about every ten days, for good reason. It serves proper, correctly prepared Japanese food and has done so consistently for years. It is not a fancy place, but the food is extraordinarily good. Just delicious. And it is clean as a whistle, a rarity for Miami restaurants. Go there, you will not be disappointed.“
“Delicious Omakaze experience with a wide variety of sashimi and rolls. My fave was the shiitake rolls. And I was obsessed with the wasabi oil they gave us for the hand roll. The service was amazing and the itamaes the best, we even got to try a very fluffy matcha biscuit and the shaved ice with mint and lemony taste was amazing!“
