“The concept isn’t new. Conveyor belt sushi with plates floating around has been done before. That said, Sushi Lucy executes it well. The ambience is great, with proper lighting, clean surroundings, and a much more polished feel compared to similar places.

The sushi was okay, but not impressive for the price point, especially considering the color-coded plates. I’ve been to other spots with similar pricing and noticeably better quality. The value proposition doesn’t fully land.

That said, this is a good place for light eaters or anyone not looking to go all-in on quantity or premium cuts. It’s also a nice spot for casual conversation or even dining solo without feeling rushed or out of place.

The staff deserves credit. Very welcoming, attentive, and genuinely pleasant, which helps the overall experience.

“I cannot believe I had one of the best sushi in a food hall at the Miami Design District. The fish melts in your mouth and it combined so well with the sauces. I usually always order spicy mayo on the side, but it was not needed for this roll. We liked it so much that we had to buy it again. Not because we were hungry but it was just that delicious. I also tried the Wagyu hand roll and it was fantastic as well. I also loved the service and cleanliness from the place. I will definitely return to here to have this special roll again.“

“I rarely write reviews but last night I had the most extraordinary dinner at Aoko. It is a beautiful little gem of a restaurant with a great vibe, and kind attentive service - for sure. But what compels me to write is the food ... Simply amazing. We had the omokase and each serving was more incredible. My friend was visiting from SF and he said it was the best sushi he's ever had! It truly a special dinner. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful restaurant!“

The food was absolutely amazing, but my only problem is that there was only one person for all the place, it took so long to bring each and Handroll .
With that I will add that for people who don’t eat shellfish you can’t change the “experience” option on the menu which was unfortunate because we were 3 people and 2 of us don’t eat shellfish and we wanted all to take the same so we could eat at the same time .

I feel after the pandemic, it's really changed the service force. It was such a fresh breath of air to have such an amazing time and service! I had a party of 11 of us for my birthday, and we were treated with smiles, and taken care of like kings. The food was phenomenal! Some of the most beautiful, fresh seafood I have ever had in my entire life. I've been traveling seven years full-time, and I will definitely be coming back just to eat here! “Food was amazing! I had no issues except when it came to dessert. We got the Almond Delirious. Before we ordered we asked the server to explain what it was. She stated it was an ice cream base with chocolate and almonds on top with a chocolate crust. However when we got the dessert it was not an ice cream base but chocolate mousse. In fact two layers of mousse and no ice cream whatsoever. That was very disappointing as I do not like mousse. So this kind of ruined the dessert portion for our first time there.“

The Suviche Lager was a great starting beer and paired really well with the Ceviche. We ordered the HH Ceviche and it was a perfect portion for the two of us. The fried fish bites were airy and light, not greasy or overly breaded. We split the Saltado with the Tenderloin - it was the star of the show. Perfectly medium rare and soooo tender. Rice was perfectly done too.

I asked for the vegan box listed on the menu, but was told they did not have all the ingredients to make the usual dishes, so the chef Kevin created a menu just for me. He was so creative, inventive, and excited about every dish he brought out of the kitchen, and each one was more delicious than the last. I am technically pescatarian, so a few of the dishes had fish sauce, but he would have easily accommodated me with a vegan or vegetarian menu as well.
