“My favorite sushi spot on Miami.

Local place thats not pretentious or overhyped. I dont know how I found this spot but ive been coming here for years. Love that the staff recognizes the frequent customers too.

My favorite roll is the Battera which is almost always made by Erikas mom.

The sushi is always fresh and extremely flavorful. I also really like that the rolls are not swimming in sauces. Its perfect the way it is made.“

The menu is expansive- something for everyone.

“Ogawa is easily one of the best omakase experiences I’ve had in Miami.

I went with two of my best friends on a Wednesday night, and we somehow got lucky enough to be the only guests there. It basically turned into a private omakase experience, which made an already special meal even more memorable.

The chef was fantastic—interesting, engaging, and incredibly thoughtful about every dish. You could tell how much intention went into each course, and everything was beautifully executed. The sake selection was also incredible and complemented the meal perfectly. We even added a few extra pieces at the end because we weren’t quite ready for it to be over.

Obviously, Ogawa is not an inexpensive night out, but this is one of those meals where you walk away feeling like it was absolutely worth it. For a special occasion or if you simply love great sushi, I could not recommend Ogawa more. One of Miami’s very best.“

Make sure to arrive 15min early to partake in this treat. Chef Tomas gave engaging explanations of each piece and the assortment and quality of fish was delightful. “I was a bit disappointed with my lunch at SuViche. The ceviche tasted quite bland and was missing the bright citrus flavor that really makes ceviche stand out. Had it been dressed with a bit more citrus I think I would have enjoyed it much more. I ordered the lunch special with sushi and ceviche but I found the sushi had a bit too much mayonnaise. The flan was also denser than I expected and wasn’t my favorite. At $27 including the automatic 18% gratuity I didn’t feel it was a good value especially since I’ve had much better lunches elsewhere for less. Overall I’d give it 4 stars because the location is convenient. Unfortunately the food didn’t quite meet my expectations especially for the price.“

“Very nice casual sushi spot in Sunset Harbor, probably one of the best sushi restaurant in South Beach right now, sibling of Uchi Wynwood, but with more cooked options in the menu. Always very fresh fish, creative dish variations, excellent flavors pairing. I’ve never walked out dissatisfied. Now off season they have two happy hours, one regular in late afternoon and another one that starts st 9pm I believe, and the happy hour food selection is really good. Service is nice and fun. I only wish the space would have better indoor lighting and they would be open also for lunch.“
