This is the only picture I could snag before finishing my lunch. Most German food I’ve eaten here is somewhat Americanized. Not so much here. I had a brat on a hard roll with sauerkraut and mustard then the sandwich pictured is the U boat. The first bite of the brat instantly transported me back to Idar-Oberstein. I’m going to have to prevent myself from going back daily. This place can’t be beat.

It's such a wonderful family-owned restaurant! We have been going there for 20 years. We always get the bratwurst on a toasted crunchy roll. Grat with or without kraut! Don't forget the mustard, though! Great selection of authentic German food as well
