My boyfriend has been to Haiti and I’ve been to Jamaica and this place had a nice blend of both.We had the legume stew with rice and beans; the Ke Bef (oxtail) and the chicken pate. Everything was amazing. Nice blend of spices.This was my first time trying oxtail and I will definitely be eating it again. It was so tender and the sauce was incredible.Jonas, the owner, was so nice and chatted with us during our visit. “Derek was our waiter on Saturday when we came in for brunch. Derek was friendly, very familiar with the menu, brought our food out once it was cooked. He was personable, and cordial. There were 7 of us dining and he was on top of his job with his A game.Parking: We arrived about 15 minutes before Madame Fortune opened and had no problem finding parking. We parked in the lot behind the restaurant.“

“We were in Tampa running an errand, so we decided to Google Maps a Caribbean food place near where we were and picked this place from the list. It's a tiny to-go only little place in little strip center. However, the food was Big on flavor and cooked perfectly. We got the lg goat and the lg ox-tail. It was enough to feed 4 people and was delicious. We will definitely eat there again. Oh and I would've taken pictures, but we were eating like pigs before I thought about it!“
“What a treasure! We stopped to this restaurant on our way to a cruise out of Tampa. The server was very friendly and suggested some great entrees for us to try. Everything was great but those oysters were definitely something to talk about forever. They were fried perfectly. I don't like my seafood to be fried too hard with a lot of batter and these were absolutely perfect.The fried calamari was delicious and the hush puppies were great also.I will absolutely stop by again the next time I am in the city.“

“Ordered the twice baked turkey wings, collards, cabbage, and candied yams from Uber. Everything was top tier and seasoned to perfection. The meat fell off the bone on the turkey, the collards had bite and cabbage had crunch and the yams were fresh and actually candied. I would definitely recommend. Can’t wait to try it again. Hope I can get My order in early enough to get some of that mac & cheese when I double back.“

“OMG... My husband and I just tried this place for the first time. yes... yes... yes yes yes!!!!!! When I tell you I ate ALL of my food, and I usually don't do that. We had the fried fish (escovitch style), cabbage (I wanted like a whole plate of this), peas and rice and plantains. EVERYTHING was so on point. I wish they had veggie patties (hint hint) cause I would definitely get it with coco bread since we don't eat beef or chicken anymore. I should have ordered the mac and cheese! I will next time. “This is my favorite and only restaurant where I get oxtail in the Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater area I’ll drive an hour if I have too. It’s so delicious, always tender falling off the bone and the sides are so fresh. The juices are great too. I love the passion fruit. This is a family run and owed establishment. The boss lady is super nice and the son always makes up laugh, the daughter is so sweet and always smiling. They treat my sisters and I so well. And it’s always a pleasure going there. Whether I sit and eat or take food to go it aways taste great.“

“We were visiting town and were looking for something good. Oh did we find the jackpot!! The food here was absolutely delicious!! We decided to share our meals in order to get to try more. Two rice versions (yellow & dirty), yams, mac & cheese, catfish, oxtail, honey fried chicken, smoked cabbage were perfect!! Oh do not skip the sweet cornbread almost like a cornbread pound cake and another must is the banana pudding!! Every bite was a soulful bliss of love, flavor, & freshly made goodness!!
