“🔥🍗 Kimchi Red – Alpharetta 🍗🔥
Locally owned, full-of-heart Korean comfort food with fried chicken that was literally voted the BEST in the United States — and trust me, every bite earns that title.
The chicken isn’t just crispy — it CRACKLES — and then melts into juicy perfection. The flavors hit you like a delicious freight train of sweet, savory, and addictive goodness.
And the spice level?
💥🌶️ OFF. THE. CHAIN. 🌶️💥
The kind of heat that makes you do the happy wiggle and whisper, “Ohhhh yes,” while plotting your next order.
Warm, welcoming staff, food made with passion, and fried chicken that has officially ruined me for anywhere else.
Kimchi Red — you are my spicy, crunchy, delicious chicken soulmate.“

“I’ve tried multiple menu items here… the pot stickers, the soup, but my favorite are the tacos. Go ahead! Try new things! You won’t be disappointed. The food is always sold hot, fast enough (it’s all cooked to order) with fantastic service.“

“They have little alcoves so sitting with your family feels very private. Went with my family of 5 and it was perfect. Highly recommend the hot stone bibimbap and tofu soup with kimchi. My 10 month old, 4 yr old, and 10 yr old all enjoyed. Definitely will be back if we are in the area again.“

“Have you ever had chicken so good that you had to slow down to savor it? Mamma mia, this is some good chicken!! I went there to meet up with a good friend and the only thing I thought about on the way out was coming back to share the experience with my family. The chicken was crunchy, moist, and sweet (I had the Honey Garlic). Cooked to perfection. I'm a big guy and 1st thing the employee did was adjust the other booths to make me more comfortable as I waited for my friend. Great food, exceptional service! I will definitely be back to try more flavors.“

“The chicken was absolutely delicious and I'd wager that they butcher the chicken on site before frying it. Took a bit for the chicken to come out, but it was absolutely worth it. I wish there was an option been 8 and 16 pieces of chicken.“

“This place is absolutely amazing. The food is good, the staff is kind. The space is wonderful. This is the best rice I've had since I moved to Georgia hands down. And it's actually phenomenally spicy.
If you are looking for a place to sit and have a nice time while enjoying incredible food, this is it!!!“

“The ahjumma Becky is awesome and friendly! The Korean Steak pizza is DELICIOUS! All I'll say is to season & cook the original chicken a little bit better. The batter was really light and lacking crunch. But other than that, I'd definitely come back. 👍🏾“
“amazing food and amazing service. great experience overall 5/5 would recommend this place.“

“Best quality and taste!
Everything from the ingredients to the side dishes was excellent. The texture of the Jokbal is perfectly chewy and the flavor is spot on. Whether you eat in or order to-go, the quality remains top-tier. It’s definitely the best in GA. You can tell why this place has been a local favorite for years. A must-visit!“

“Amazing Korean Food in a simple location but packs a huge punch. I came here solely based on the recommendation of this soup I have been craving. Gamjatang is a spicy pork bone soup. This item at Daebal House was a massive tower of amazing flavor! The menu has a fairly small but simple listing of typical Korean dishes from soup to meats ——while I was there 99% of the patrons are eating this dish. This place is open after 5pm and is similar to a late night bar with fine dining food… Highly recommend if you are in the area and want authentic quality tasting korean food and experience with friends. Oh and the kimchi is the BoMB!!!!!!! So yummmmmmmmmmy! First pic is when it came out!! Second pic is after we all ate to our hearts desire and there were still leftovers!!!!!“

“K-Mom’s Kitchen feels less like eating out and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. The flavors instantly reminded me of my mom’s cooking and even more so, my grandmother’s. The main dishes are comforting and well done, but what truly makes this place special are the side dishes. That generous spread of banchan, paired with a small bowl of warm seaweed soup, is what gives the meal its soul.
It’s a true hole-in-the-wall spot, cozy, humble, and full of heart with limited seating inside, but that just adds to the authenticity. This is the kind of food that carries history and care in every bite. If you’re looking for Korean food that tastes like it was made for family, this is the place. Highly recommend.“

“We just visited this restaurant again after a while and the food is really good and fresh—one of my favorite Korean traditional restaurants with decent price and portions.
The last couple of times I've come here, the soup has been really good. However, this time, the beef hangover soup had overcooked or overly ripe cabbage, which I didn’t like. In my opinion, they have the best seafood hot stone rice compared to anywhere else; the aroma is a perfect balance of meat, rice, and vegetables. They also serve really tender, flavorful, and juicy neckbone soup. It feels like homemade food—comforting and balanced with deep flavors.“

“The surprise i didnt know I needed. Middle of the day and there was neo soul playing. Eclectic vibe. Welcomed by the owner who is super helpful. We got the chicken sandwich and the Bulgogi fried rice. The food was 🔥. The rice was full of flavor and the sandwich was bursting with flavor. Than there are the snow fries and yellow fries with the homemade ranch🤩. This place is a must visit. Unique flavors and sauces all made in house. Thank you Dean!“

“I love the food here but the service is chaotic and it's disorganized. Has not stopped me from going there but it's frustrating to watch them scramble to try and figure out who ordered what. And then to see your food ready but the chaotic process means you'll get it in 10 minutes. But the food is great. Fix the chaotic process and I'd probably visit more.“

“Food was great! Love that you can get free barley tea up front. The portions were generous, I ended up taking some home. It made GREAT leftovers. We also ordered tteokbokki, but they seem to have forgotten it. To be honest, we didn’t notice that we didn’t receive it until the next day lol.“

“This establishment has the nicest team plus delicious food and parking around back. On my first visit, we arrived early when there was no crowd. My friend had just received her PhD so it was a low key celebration brunch. The crowd wasn't happening yet and the barista was bored. As we ate brunch, he appeared with shot glass sized samples of a certain tea drink for us to try. Then he returned later with a sample of creamy drink. Finally a coffee sample was served. We had a lovely chat and it was just such an authentic "small town" moment. The kind we use to have in Roswell 20+ years ago. Fast forward to this afternoon, my friend and I drop in for a birthday lunch and have a terrific meal. Surprise! The staff prepared a cute blueberry scone birthday snack on a heart-shaped dish. As we left, everyone wished a happy birthday to us. Honestly, it was so endearing. Great food. Nice people. 100% worth your time and money to go!“

“Our family has mostly visited Jang Su Jang in Duluth, so this was our first time trying the Alpharetta location. When we used to go to the Duluth Jang Su Jang nearly ten years ago, it was mainly for comforting dishes like Soondoobu, something very affordable and casual.
The Alpharetta Jang Su Jang felt quite different. It’s located inside a hotel, and the atmosphere is much more upscale. Because of that, the prices are not cheap, and the overall vibe is more polished than what we were used to. It truly felt like a different version of Jang Su Jang.
The food was very good, and the service was also excellent. Everything was well prepared, and the staff was attentive. However, as Korean visitors coming from out of state, it felt a bit distant from the Korean community, which makes it less likely for us to return regularly.
That said, it’s definitely worth visiting at least once, especially if you’re looking for a more elegant Korean dining experience in Alpharetta.“
