“I live pretty close by and always drive pass this place and have read a lot of good reviews about this place. Had couple of breakfast sandwiches. Bacon egg and cheese in a crossaint and a chicken sausage egg and cheese in a croissant and both the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. I want to go back and try few of their other menus.“

My first stop was to Sugar Shane where I met Mike who gave me a wonderful experience while serving me and my friend. The cookies and cinnamon rolls were delicious. “I stopped by today, excited to try some authentic Greek pastries. I was not disappointed! The lady serving me was absolutely lovely and gave me some free samples. I ended up trying a variety of things. The portions are huge and will last you several days. The pastries themselves are definitely authentically Greek (I am European and I’ve been there multiple times), and they are light, moist, and flavorful. I give this place my fullest recommendation.“

Meet the Stefan Sampler at Evergreen Butcher + Baker in Kirkwood:

🍒 Cherry pistachio financier: a small, buttery almond-style cake with cherry and pistachio.

🫐 Blueberry muffin: simple, classic and loaded with blueberry goodness.

🍪 Oatmeal raisin pecan cookie: chewy, nutty, a little sweet and basically everything I want in an oatmeal cookie.

🥐 Kouign-amann: the star of the show. A buttery, sugar-laminated Breton pastry from Brittany, France, with a crisp caramelized exterior and flaky layers inside. Its roots trace back to one of France’s historic Celtic regions.

Evergreen is part bakery, part butcher shop and part neighborhood market, with breads, pastries, quality meats and a small selection of goods you can take home.

The people working there could not have been friendlier, which made the whole stop even better.

And apparently I picked the wrong day for one of their most famous items: the cheeseburger. It’s the Sunday sandwich special, so I already have a reason to come back.

“I would just like to give a BIG shout out to the staff at the Toco Hills location. Two days ago I placed an order for delivery to my son on his Birthday June 10th as a surprise. I had never ordered from them nor had anything delivered from them. When I placed the order everything was super easy. But I messed up and put in the address completely wrong. When I tried to revise, it wouldn't let me on line. I called the store for help, the girl who answered the phone was so polite and so helpful. She tried everything she could to help me but unfortunately she couldn't figure it out either. So I said, it's ok, thanks I will try again on my end. I still couldn't cancel or update. I called back the next morning and got another person who AGAIN was extremely patient and so very helpful. She did everything she could as well to help, finally she got a manager and they canceled my first order and we got it all straightened out. My son received his cookies today and enjoyed them so much and was also very surprised. I am so sorry I did not get anyone's name, but Management needs to know that you and your staff are doing a great job and are giving great customer service. The design was stunning and really stood out, but the real surprise was inside — layers of rich dulce de leche and fresh raspberry filling that created the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. “Very soft rotis, specially their whole wheat roti with olive oil. The rotis are always fresh, prepared on the same day and they stay fresh for quite a long time if stored in fridge. While reheating as well they are still soft if stored properly in fridge. I didn’t try their delivery service because I usually prefer picking them up myself. They close at 7:30pm which I felt is pretty early.“

“Wow! We have found our cupcake spot! I did a search, read the reviews and placed an order for my husband's birthday. Moist✔ delicious ✔ great and friendly customer service✔ creative flavors that aren't just flavored frosting on a chocolate or vanilla cupcake, but flavored cupcakes (like the oreo cupcakes has an oreo base!!! “I went to Rosetta bakery, received two pastries and four slices of pizza. The pizza is real Italian pizza. The bread dough was perfectly curated if you’re looking for a traditional Italian pizza and you like the bread with a little fluff to it this is the perfect place. The ambience and the vibe is really nice. It’s very well lit and very clean. Must check it out. I also met the manager. She was very kind and sweet and informative of discounts on some of the pastries and food offered.“

The dessert is beautifully light, and the sweetness level perfectly complements the strawberries in between the layers. The crepes are nicely thin, and the overall structural integrity of their crepe cakes is fantastic. We also tried their Red Velvet Cupcake, Red Velvet Crepe Cake (which looks absolutely gorgeous), Strawberry Shortcake (also looks particularly beautiful), and Dulce de Leche Crepe Cake.
