Reid's Apothecary Reviews
What a wonderful surprise. Definitely worth the drive from St. Simon’s. We started with (2)duck confit, bacon jam and cheese board. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits while I ordered the waffle chicken with grits and perfectly fried brussels sprouts. Very generous portions. We hope have to return this week while still in town.
Have always enjoyed going here. Always great food/great service. Not tonight. When leaving I was asked if all was good... not so & was asked to leave number. I did get a call but started with "we're really busy" before I could say anything. Can talk another time but he insisted I share my concerns. I attempted he argued. Told me to continue with my story. Then hung up. Sadly will be a long time before I return. Bummer because I have always enjoyed going there.
Great atmosphere with a friendly staff. Try their salmon dip! Also check out some live music in the back room study on the weekends

Reid's Apothecary is a charming restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, enhanced by fresh cut flowers on the tables. The service is excellent, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who ensure every guest has a memorable experience. The menu features a range of dishes, including the popular grilled lobster cheese sandwich, packed with generous portions of lobster and cheese. Guests also enjoy the crabcake sandwich and the flavorful Ramen bowl. Another option is the roasted chicken salad on a croissant with fries, which is a satisfying choice. The ambiance is lively and bustling, reminiscent of Manhattan, but can be loud due to echoes.
Recent reviews highlight three incredible meals in a row, with visitors praising the ambiance, fast service, and reasonable prices. The shrimp and grits was noted as one of the best ever, and the filet was described as the best piece of meat experienced. The staff is friendly, and the bar staff is creative and wonderful. Guests recommend the duck confit nachos, tomato soup, and ribeye steak, all of which received outstanding marks. The drink menu has lots of bourbon and wine choices, with the Reids Old Fashioned being on point. With delicious food, craft cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere, Reid's Apothecary remains a must-visit destination.
