“Incredible! Have driven past Calhoun 100s of times. Never stopped. From now on it will be a destination. Dubs is the best ribs we have ever eaten. Fall off the bone, moist and seasoned to perfection. Don't really need the delicious sauce. Service was excellent.”

“One of the best meals I’ve ever had. I can’t say enough about this place. The ambience was absolute perfection, from the exposed brick walls to the upstairs seating and bar. The lighting was set perfectly. Our server was amazing , putting up with the many questions of my father in law, who is Italian and a former restaurant owner. (love that guy.) Even HE was impressed! We drove an hour from Ellijay to be here and it did not disappoint. Every one of our meals was just perfection. The desserts were SO good. I usually hate crème brule because it’s usually runny, but this had a thin, crisp skin that was absolutely delicious. I had the sea bass on a bed of grilled vegetables. It had the most delicious white cream sauce. I’d order it again in a heartbeat. My mother in law had chicken Alfredo and she raved about the white sauce (it may have been a Chardonnay sauce). My daughter and husband and both had the manicotti and it was amazing. My son had shrimp pesto and he absolutely loved it. He’s the picky one. The drinks were superb, the atmosphere was so enjoyable. This is a gem. If it were closer, we’d make it our place to go for every special occasion. I wish I’d gotten the ask the name of our waitress (served us around 5:30 on 8/30/25) but she was a doll. Super sweet, and everyone was.”

“Another wonderful brunch this morning! The entire staff was/is truly amazing. The staff even allowed a cutting of one of their plants for one of my adult children who has an obsession with plants. Also they offer an amazing catering option! Recommend this establishment 100%! If you haven’t visited you’re missing out!”

“We had another delicious lunch today. In the 7 years I have eaten at Duke's (in both Calhoun's locations) I have never failed to get a fantastic meal exactly as I ordered it. Thank you Derrick, it was a bonus to get to see you today!”

“This is like the holy grail of diner food. It is a grill cheese on top and bottom with at least a half pound burger with cheese in between. The burger is cooked to perfection and comes with any toppings you want. Also fries, onion rings or tater tots are offered. You can substitute any other vegetable on the menu as well. Place is awesome, reminds me of when people cared and really enjoyed you being there. A total home run or touchdown. Whatever you like.”

“This place is solid. No frills, no nonsense—just good food at honest prices. Portion sizes are generous enough to feed a grown man, not a yoga influencer. Service is fast, and they actually get the order right, which is rare these days. My only critique: more meat. Always more meat. A meal without sufficient meat is just a side dish pretending to be dinner.”

“We enjoyed our ice cream very much. I did order a Reese’s royal fluffernutter blizzard and received the Reese’s caramel craze instead buying quite liked it. The initial disappointment wore off quickly after tasting the caramel craze. Thick creamy and mixed well. My husband also enjoyed his orange cream shake I can’t lie, I stole a few sips. Yum!”

“There has been a debate in town on who was better or has the best biscuit. Galaxy Grill was named a few times that it has the best. I had the week off, so that allowed me to go by and try them out since normally I don't have time to get by for breakfast. I tried a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. I saw that you can get a combo for just a bit more. The combo is a side (like tots, fries, etc.) and a drink (to include a 20 oz coffee if you so choose). I chose to get the combo with the tots and coffee. The coffee I got was the flavored hazelnut coffee. The coffee wasn't bad at all, as well as, the tots. The tots weren't overly dried out. I opened up the biscuit and tasted it. It was surprising tasty. The biscuit was not dried out at all. They use real sausage (not that rubber hockey puck stuff at most fast food places these days) and eggs. The price was $6.50 tax and all. I would rank the biscuit in the top 10 in town. I'd say check them out. They do not have a military discount.”

“Let me start by saying, the waitress (Kayley) was AMAZING! She was attentive, yet not overbearing, always wore a smile, very friendly, and stayed busy. The food was cooked exactly the way I ordered it, the place was clean and everything was quick and precise. Highly recommended and if you can get Kayley, you will not be disappointed, by far one of the best wait staff I have had the pleasure of dining with. Thanks for a great experience!”

“I visited this place last night for an open mic night and was blown away at the talent that came out. I was greeted at the door!Awesome music, friendly and timely bartenders with good drink prices. The food was delicious and made fresh to order. The atmosphere was very comfortable and welcoming, my anxiety didn’t act up at all. I played guitar and sang, and everyone was very kind and allowed me to network with other artists there. I will be back for another open mic night soon!”

“This was my first visit to Cook Out. We were going to go to Buc-ee's. We like going there but their sandwiches are about $8. My husband suggested Cook Out -- well, 6 of us ate for $40, and everybody left full!
Having Coke floats as a basic option as part of a meal is pretty cool.
On top of that, the staff was super friendly. I'm glad we came!”
