“We tried South End SmokeHouse for the first time today and it was so good! The kids loved the mac & cheese and my husband and I shared a BBQ plate with pork and brisket. We got a lot of food and we enjoyed the atmosphere a lot! Can't wait to try their new location!“

“Me and my wife were exploring DT Chamblee last Friday, and we knew we had wanted to come to Chamblee & Vine. We tried to come one day on a Sunday, but it was closed. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

It is a really cool spot! They have these dispensers where you insert one of their cards, and it'll dispense the wine you want. You can do 1oz, 3oz, and 5oz pours. They have a good selection of whites, reds, and rosés. Me and my wife tried a bunch of different options. And if I am being honest, all were pretty good! You can also buy wines by the bottle if you choose to do it that way. We wanted to try a bunch of different things, so we opted for the card dispenser format. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors, as the weather was really nice. The staff are all super friendly too. They asked everyone outside if we wanted water, and they brought us some water carafes and glasses. They also have different types of snacks available for purchase too.

We also happened to come on a night when they were doing trivia...and we ended up winning!! They do a BUNCH of different events, so you are bound to find some type of event you will like.

We will definitely be back here in the future!“

“Wonderful service! We visited Atlanta for the weekend with our 4 month old baby boy and the staff accommodated us and went about and beyond for us! The food was fabulous and the waiter was very accommodating. Wine selection is and great, don’t recommend burning a child here but really appreciate how they treated us. “A good place to grab a drink and a snack, but as a spot for dinner it falls a little short. They have a great drink list and the appetizers we tried were delicious. Service was also spot on, we were well taken care of.

I think where this place really shines is the drinks and light dishes. We both had a glass of wine and a cocktail and all were good. Obviously the drink list caters more towards wine, but there is something for everyone here.

The small plates were also very good. We had the egg and the beef tartar. Both were good quality, good flavor, really cant say anything wrong about them. The egg was like a medium boiled egg split in two with accoutrements on top. I was expecting more of a miller union style egg, but this was still really good. My wife also thought the fries were the best fries she has ever had.

Here is where things start to break down. Dinner was... fine. We had the poulet and the sea bream. Both left something to be desired. The sauce on the chicken was overly gelatinous and approaching the consistency of caramel. The flavor was also nothing fantastic, almost just like a fancy bbq sauce. The fish, while good, had a really really odd plating and now that I think back on it bordered on comical (see pics). It was basically served in a light broth with a TON of carrots underneath, and it just didn't make much sense for the price point it was at.

Atmosphere sadly has typical to all the trendy spots these days, a little loud, a little too big, and just an overall feeling of impersonal. It's almost like all these places are over operationalized without enough thought given to personal interactions, everything feels artificial.

All that being said, I still think this is worth a visit and I give it 5 stars assuming that you are going for a drink and a light meal.“

“My wife and I go to a wine tasting couple times a year here. It is a little pricey but it is a fun thing to do and the wine is good and the food is excellent. They serve appetizers with each two pores of wine. Recommend getting a full glass of wine and a separate appetizer when you get there.

Vegetarian options: They can accommodate some vegetarian options. But many of their appetizers do have meat.

Parking: Parking is in a large shared strip mall parking area.

Kid-friendliness: This event is not for kids. Many couples are there spending an evening away from their kids!

Wheelchair accessibility: The space is on the ground floor. The door is a single door, but I don't know if there's any wheelchair accessible seating. Most of this is at a bar height.“

“Postino in Buckhead is a popular wine café and restaurant chain, and now I understand why. The name Postino comes from Italian, meaning “the postman,” and the concept really fits—casual, neighborhood-style dining meant for sharing food, wine, and conversation, like messages being passed around.
This was our first time visiting, and we had the pleasure of meeting Corey, the manager, who was incredibly welcoming and genuinely excited that it was our first visit. He checked on us several times and made us feel right at home. Our server, Justin, was excellent—friendly, attentive, and easygoing.
When I asked Corey about the meatballs, he brought some out for us to try—and they are now officially my new favorite. Absolutely delicious.
This is truly a place to hang out: a friendly vibe, warm energy, and staff that make you feel like family. It honestly feels like a modern-day Cheers. We’re moving around the corner and are so happy to have found our new go-to spot. Amazing food, incredible staff, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back.

“We had a reservation at The Capital Grille for Valentine’s Day & overall had a wonderful evening. The atmosphere was great, the food was absolutely delicious, & my husband & I really enjoyed our night. We had requested a booth in our reservation & they accommodated that, which we really appreciated. Our server was very kind, attentive, & respectful, and we were seated immediately when we arrived, even though the hostess staff were not very warm or polite.

The only disappointing part of the experience was the valet service. It felt chaotic, we ended up having to get our own car despite using valet, & then waited about 10 minutes just to get out of the parking lot. Aside from the valet situation, everything else was great & we truly had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner.“

“This place was great! After an experience next door we crashed here and was NOT disappointed. We were greeted and reviewed the menu. Ordered the eggplant parmesan, meatballs, pizza and wine. We sat at the bar in front of the wood fire ovens. Got to watch our meals being prepared and had the most pleasant conversation with the pizza makers. The meatballs were FIRE! They were amazing, wonderful combo of meats and hand made…AMAZING. The pizza was also just the best pizza I have had in a long time. They finish with actual Italian olive oil which took the experience to another level. Then oh whoa almost forgot about their dessert. We ordered the pistachio cake and tiramisu. “With no reservations on a Valentines day weekend, my wife and I ended up at the bar of Casa Balam in Decatur. Where the Ted's Montana grill used to be. They did have a planned menu but with options. The coconut cream pie was amazing and only $13 for a generous piece. Even the bread rolls were great. They were warm with a nice crust. Really a perfect meal.
