“My husband and I went to Helen the week before Christmas for our anniversary and we ate here for dinner our first night and lunch the next day. We enjoyed the food, especially the Mac-n-cheese bites. I had a cheeseburger and fries and he had the bbq plate the first night and grilled cheese and chicken tenders the next day. The service was wonderful! Our waitress was so sweet and we had lovely conversation. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. Thank you for a great dining experience.“

“Overall, we had a good experience. The restaurant had a cool look. The potato pancakes were good- crispy on the outside. They had a hint of flavor, but needed more. It was great with the apple sauce. The pretzel was fluffy and soft with very delicious cheese! It was so cheesy and had a distinct taste. I think in general our problem was the good was bland. My husband had the chicken sandwich and said it was good- the flavor coming from the burnt parts. I got the beef roast- it was good, but it was slathered in gravy. The carrots and potatoes needed seasoning. My son got the chicken schnitzel. It was soggy. The mashy potatoes had a good texture, but needed seasoning. The spaetzle was also soggy- maybe that's how they are supposed to be? I don't know much about German food, but maybe this is how it's supposed to taste?? We went back a second time and sat in a different room- there were no TVs and the lights were super bright so we got out food to go. The pretzel was just as good. The french onion soup was okay- probably better there. The mozzarella was not was stretchy/stringy as I remember. It also might not have been mozzarella- not sure. We also had a piece of German chocolate cake. It was good. The cake was moist and the cream was thick with coconut and nuts!“

“My wife and I just returned from celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, at the Valhalla Resort Hotel. We absolutely LOVED it! The minute we drove up to the hotel’s front door, we were greeted by Steve, a tremendous valet! He genuinely treated us like we were the most important people in the hotel, right from the get go! Then, as we walked into the hotel, Judy welcomed us in with a smile, and explained to us what Valhalla had to offer. I felt like we were visiting with friends! Our room was beautiful, and quite festive, as our youngest daughter purchased the “Celebrate You” package for us! Later that evening, we went to have a drink at the Sky Bar, which has beautiful Mountain Views! Matt was the bartender, who fixed us an Old Fashioned, a Jalapeño Margarita. DELICIOUS! Matt is full of personality, and was right on point both days we spent time with him! Lastly, we met Jerry Murdock, the owner. Jerry was as kind as can be, and is an absolute riot! Thank you Valhalla, for helping to make our 30th wedding anniversary a most special one! We will be back!“

“We visited late on a Sunday 4pm. They close at 5 but we still got to enjoy a tasting. We really enjoyed the Cab Franc & the Cab Merlot blend. Very impressed that all grapes and wine are all from this vineyard as most in N GA source grapes from other regions. After visiting we agreed this is one of our top vineyard in Georgia. Service was great and even had the opportunity to meet with the owner/winemaker and listened to the passion she has for making excellent wines. Highly recommend!!“

Brandy the resident pup greeted me and slept by my side throughout lunch too. The charcuterie board and flatbread pizza were great and our wine flights were excellent. Ample parking for scoots, a pay lot just behind the pace, and the tour train depot right next door. They always have really great live music also. We love to visit when we are in town. 100% worth the stop.“

“Delicious✨. My family went there specifically because of the good reviews one of us was reading. I don’t know what site he was using but they were all outstanding, nothing less than a four star. I thought the place was amazing! We were served pretty quickly and the appetizers greatly appeased the wait. The loaded fries and chicken I got was DELICIOUS! I have never eaten anything better ? (I’m not a bot, I swear?). The servers were really nice, especially the guy on the phone when we called to ask about the wait (there was none!) They even pushed enough tables together to have our 19 people sitting at the same table (usually they say 15 people a table, max at other restaurants). I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it??‍♀️. Highly recommend!“
