“Dissapointed in Big Kahuna dog. No creole mustard, no pickled onions, the "housemade slaw" was shredded cabbage, the cherry pepper relish was pickle relish out of a jar. When I mentioned it to the girl at the counter after I received it , she said we are out of most of the ingredients on the menu and they stopped putting creole mustard on it because people said it was too spicy. Lol. Total lack of communication between the kitchen and the counter staff. We all have to 86/sub items, But you should tell the customer what he's getting so his expectations are not dashed. I know it's just a hot dog and I ate it because I was hungry and the actual hot dog was good, but they didn't get anything close to what it should have been.“

“I had the incredible pleasure of the Miller Union experience last Saturday. I run a small nonprofit meal ministry program in Gwinnett and I am a colleague of your Executive Pastry Chef's mother. Being from industry, but now serving in a different manner, I must say how satisfying it is to know that considering the major challenges presently in the restaurant industry, you have built a culture of service, professionalism, precision and family that is simply impossible to find. You were flawless on that night. I claimed time out of my busy schedule to treat myself, I didn’t have a reservation but was granted the best seat in the house, at the bar, on the corner, right at the service area next to the ticket stabber and the printer. You might ask, why that seat was so great... well, for the first time in 35 years I had no responsibilities being that close to the start and finish of an order. I knew I was in the right place to do something I'd never done before and that was to take my hands off the wheel and allow the environment to take control. I asked, who I believed to be the Sommelier (sorry can't recall his name)to order for me. Of course he would line me up with the best wines without sacrificing my mortgage payment, lol by my request, but I kept eyeballing those Sailor's Greetings passing by and had to inquire. The Bartender was "straight fire" and gave me the scoop... a reduction of muscadine wine!!!! WHAT!!! Anyway, the Pork Belly, the Field Pea and Peanut Salad, all amazing. When it came to the entree I had to pump the breaks on the house choice... I saw Collard Greens with the Pork Loin... being born and raised in the South, I had to know. The moment of truth, Wow! Okay I had to look this... Unicorn in the eyes. Now it's Saturday night so I didn't expect Chef Steven Satterfield to be present but low and behold, he was there. I couldn't see him because he was doing what he was supposed to be doing... Driving the Bus! So after an awesome experience thus far and a visit from who I believe was the FOH Maestro, Neal MaCarthy, it was on to the reason I was there… to experience the offerings of Chef Claudia Martinez. Her team did not disappoint. Again I left it up to the BOH and BAM!!!...the Doughnuts!!! Just phenomenal. So I wrapped up and called for my car and on my way out I was saluted by GM Vince Landi and informed Chef Satterfield had a moment and he was kind enough to greet me. Needless to say, I was honored and proud of know our industry's best days are ahead of us. Thank you Miller Union and Chef Satterfield for a night to remember and for continuing to carry the torch. “Good food, creative cocktails, and excellent service. Banshee was a great dinner, it is a smaller space which i prefer to the more sprawling restaurants like optimist or two urban licks. The vibe is personal and it doesn't feel like you are on restaurant rails like with some of the bigger spots.
Food was excellent, the fry bread is fun and we had a tomato appetizer that was spectacular. Had the fish and a corn pasta dish for the mains which were also delicious.
The cocktails were creative and I enjoyed them, but my wife said they were a little lackluster, so make of that what you will. They have a full bar and their bartenders seemed knowledgeable.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.“

“Really great option on this side of town. The server was very sweet, she moved just a little too slow which is my only complaint. The food is great, the boom boom shrimp was really good and burger. But I wasn't that big of a fan of my bulgogi bowl. The server was honest that some people don't like it. I added a picture of it. It was pretty. But I'm adding it because I couldn't find one online.“

“Went here for dinner. Everything we ate was so tasty (fried shrimp, trout, catch of the day, lamb burger). Except for the sweet breads which we didn't care for, but they took them off the bill which was considerate. The regular, more reasonably priced cocktails are excellent. The more premium cocktails are just straight booze though, not recommended, were too strong with no flavor or balance. But the standard cocktails were so refreshing.“

“Went to this venus for the first time to see Melanie Fiona ( also another first) and had an amazing time! She was amazing live: her voice, vibe, energy, and audience engagement was chef kiss. Staff was nice as well. It was busy and crowded ( sold out show) but the staff handled it well. Food was ok for what I ordered but hot and fresh. Drink was good too and as advertised. Will definitely go again!“

“July 05, 2025 Greetings, This evening, I had the opportunity to celebrate my 40th birthday, and to mark the occasion, my partner and I chose to dine at a fine dining establishment in downtown Atlanta. Regrettably, after we visited your downtown Atlanta location, it became clear that my hope for an outstanding dining experience was unlikely to be met. Upon our arrival, we had to wait despite having made a reservation several hours earlier. Eventually, we were seated at a table no larger than a nightstand. I immediately observed that, unlike the other tables, the candle on ours was unlit. This should have served as an indication of the service to follow. Once seated, we were presented with the menu and asked for two sweet teas. Soon after, we placed our orders. After waiting twenty minutes, we realized that our drinks had been forgotten. We subsequently reminded our waitress that we had ordered two sweet iced teas. After an additional ten minutes, our drinks arrived. Fifteen minutes later, our food finally arrived. Upon its arrival, I noticed a sticky substance around the $75 steak I had ordered. After considerable effort to cut into it, I tasted the meat and found it to be overcooked—its flavor reminiscent of a meal unintentionally left on the grill by an intoxicated cook. It was unsatisfactory, and I requested a remake. At this point, we had spent over an hour at your restaurant, and the staff began cleaning up. Finally, around 12:05 a.m., the re-cooked steak was brought out. Although it was an improvement over the first, it still did not merit the price of $75. Given that my potatoes were cold and the minimal ice in my refilled iced tea had melted, I opted to forgo the steak altogether. My partner, who is more willing to accept mediocre service, encouraged me to take the steak back to the hotel, which led us to request a to-go box. Ten minutes later, we received a small cardboard box, barely big enough for my food. Further, we were not offered anything to carry the sauce in, utensils, or even a bag. Shortly after, we received our bill, which totaled approximately $195.00, excluding gratuity. At that moment, I was overwhelmed with emotion and informed my partner that I needed a few minutes outside to collect my thoughts. I found it challenging to rationalize $200 for a meal arguably valued at $20 and customer service worth $10. Despite my objections, my partner insisted on refraining from discussing this matter with a manager. He wanted to avoid any conflict on my birthday. While I appreciate his noble intentions, I possess a strong aversion to inequality in any form. The treatment we received in an establishment that professes luxury and exemplary customer service was inadequate and perhaps a sign of your treatment towards Minority LGBT customers. We deserved a better experience. Although my birthday weekend was great, this experience was horrible. I am genuinely disappointed with my visit to your Atlanta location. “Drove from Athens to try this place, and can genuinely say the trip was worth it. Tried the OBD and the burger was rich, vibrant in flavor thanks to the Chimichurri, borderline decadent. The fries admittedly left something to be desired, but the burger I cannot speak highly enough about.
Update: came back to confirm it wasn’t just a one time overreaction. No it was not, this place is the real deal. Fries were much better too this time around.“

“I would highly recommend BoccaLupo. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the drinks, appetizers, entrees, veggies, and desserts. Very different drink and food menu adds to this top notch restaurant. All servers are very knowledgeable in the menu and daily taste specials. Also, they make excellent recommendations if u ask. I was impressed when they changed silverware after each course. Classy! Top it off with homemade pasta and your tastebuds will thank you. We will be back!!!“

“Our small gathering on the 6th of December was heavenly. This young lady was sweating and smiling so I had to photo her. The overall experience was great with Service and the Atmosphere was breath taking. The food was exceptional except the desserts were a little dis tasteful, but, I had eaten so much it could be my palate. “My friend girl brought me to this restaurant for my birthday. I had the turkey ribs, collards, yams and Mac and cheese and the bread pudding, we even tried the fried green tomato,she had the turkey wings. OH ! My gosh the food was sooo, ( never heard of nor had a turkey ribs) it was so tender and the sauce was point on. I don't mind paying a good piece if the service and food is great. “Tabby was in town and in usual Tabby flow she was exploring the atlasobscura website and came across The Consulate. As such, we decided to go. We had reservations for 06:15 on a Friday. Arriving about 20 minutes early as traffic happened to be light, we were able to be seated early without any issues. Upon entering the restaurant the hallway decor captures your attention as you focus on the selected hues of blue and artwork placement. Upon being seated we were immediately greeted by Cindy. Cindy arrived all smiles coupled with a huge personality and warm welcome. As this was our first time she took a moment to explain to us the menu selections, geographical inspiration, as well as answer the few questions we had about select items. Cindy’s education of the menu and experience with the foods added to the food deciding experience. Major shout out to Cindy. The ambiance of the restaurant is high energy, captivating and explorative. As you look around the restaurant it puts you in the mindset of being inside one of the classic true to theme castles in an Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider movie. LoL! At any moment Laura Croft could walk in and grab one of the items on display and head out for her next mission. LoL! I decided on the String Beans with a side of Mexican Rice and I was more than satisfied with the flavor profile of my meal. The string beans were flavor stacked with the slight sweet from the sauce and the spice from the peppers. The texture was spot on for a true sautéed experience as well as the portion was perfect… The Mexican rice paired well with the string beans as it provided a texture variation as well as it was seasoned well but not overpowering in comparison to the string beans. This was truly a 10/10 experience. The service, the environment, and the food were all superb. Whether for a personal 2 person dinner or after work friend vibe, The Consulate is truly a must try for any occasion.“

Tamina was so warm and welcoming as soon as we came in the door, and very helpful with assisting us with the menu. The assistant manager, Ally, was incredibly attentive and engaging throughout our entire visit there, making sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our meal. And the food was absolutely delicious!!
I got the backyard burger, and my wife got the black bean salmon entree. Both were perfectly cooked and perfectly delicious.
Between the wonderful staff and the incredible food, it made us feel like we were the only customers in the building.
10/10 experience- Amazing staff, amazing manager, amazing food. We will most definitely be back again and will be telling our friends.

“I had the pleasure of dining at Lazy Betty last night and I can not begin to tell you how wonderful the meal was. The attention to detail in the preparation and service was above the norm. Servers were friendly, personable yet not intrusive which is a difficult mix that they have mastered. I highly recommend this establishment if you want a culinary “experience” that will make your tastebuds explode with delight.“
