“We were rather cautious after reading unfavorable reviews, but it was a pleasant surprise to find quick and friendly service and nice food selection. We came at 9 p.m. and everything worked wonderful, the kitchen takes the last order at 10.15 p.m.“

“Had dinner with friends from VA. The wives got the red snapper with garlic spinach and creole rice. The seasoning and presentation were nice, but they said the portion could have been bigger. My buddy had the pork chop with roasted potatoes and brussel sprouts. It was thick, and when he cut it to share with his wife, it was super tender and juicy (pause). Ribs are one of my favorites, and they had a Carolina barbecue slab, so I HAD to try it. It came with asparagus, and I subbed the potatoes for spinach. It was soo good that the girls helped me with half. I took he other half home so I could enjoy in the comfort of my own home. Absolutely amazing! Our table had a window view of the private airport and the Porche Sport Test track to add a nice touch of ambiance. Pricey but worth it for an exclusive experience.“

“A friend put me on to this place, and I haven't stopped going back since. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I feel like family now. They have whole wings, and I love them. They have a home seasoning that's addictive. During my second visit, I was convinced to try their banana pudding, now I can't get enough of it. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that you get. Definitely filling. I recommend this place. They are open daily and pretty late.“

“I can see why this place has been around forever! We made a reservation for two about an hour before we showed up and were able to be seated outside. It was a Sunday morning, so service was slightly slower than normal but to be expected at that time. We only noticed because we were starving but once the food arrived it was worth the freaking wait!!! SO good. Even the appetizer breads they brought were delish, wish they gave you more almost but glad they didn’t because I would fill up. I will definitely come back!“

“Dissapointed in Big Kahuna dog. No creole mustard, no pickled onions, the "housemade slaw" was shredded cabbage, the cherry pepper relish was pickle relish out of a jar. When I mentioned it to the girl at the counter after I received it , she said we are out of most of the ingredients on the menu and they stopped putting creole mustard on it because people said it was too spicy. Lol. Total lack of communication between the kitchen and the counter staff. We all have to 86/sub items, But you should tell the customer what he's getting so his expectations are not dashed. I know it's just a hot dog and I ate it because I was hungry and the actual hot dog was good, but they didn't get anything close to what it should have been.“

“I had the incredible pleasure of the Miller Union experience last Saturday. I run a small nonprofit meal ministry program in Gwinnett and I am a colleague of your Executive Pastry Chef's mother. Being from industry, but now serving in a different manner, I must say how satisfying it is to know that considering the major challenges presently in the restaurant industry, you have built a culture of service, professionalism, precision and family that is simply impossible to find. You were flawless on that night. I claimed time out of my busy schedule to treat myself, I didn’t have a reservation but was granted the best seat in the house, at the bar, on the corner, right at the service area next to the ticket stabber and the printer. You might ask, why that seat was so great... well, for the first time in 35 years I had no responsibilities being that close to the start and finish of an order. I knew I was in the right place to do something I'd never done before and that was to take my hands off the wheel and allow the environment to take control. I asked, who I believed to be the Sommelier (sorry can't recall his name)to order for me. Of course he would line me up with the best wines without sacrificing my mortgage payment, lol by my request, but I kept eyeballing those Sailor's Greetings passing by and had to inquire. The Bartender was "straight fire" and gave me the scoop... a reduction of muscadine wine!!!! WHAT!!! Anyway, the Pork Belly, the Field Pea and Peanut Salad, all amazing. When it came to the entree I had to pump the breaks on the house choice... I saw Collard Greens with the Pork Loin... being born and raised in the South, I had to know. The moment of truth, Wow! Okay I had to look this... Unicorn in the eyes. Now it's Saturday night so I didn't expect Chef Steven Satterfield to be present but low and behold, he was there. I couldn't see him because he was doing what he was supposed to be doing... Driving the Bus! So after an awesome experience thus far and a visit from who I believe was the FOH Maestro, Neal MaCarthy, it was on to the reason I was there… to experience the offerings of Chef Claudia Martinez. Her team did not disappoint. Again I left it up to the BOH and BAM!!!...the Doughnuts!!! Just phenomenal. So I wrapped up and called for my car and on my way out I was saluted by GM Vince Landi and informed Chef Satterfield had a moment and he was kind enough to greet me. Needless to say, I was honored and proud of know our industry's best days are ahead of us. Thank you Miller Union and Chef Satterfield for a night to remember and for continuing to carry the torch. “Honestly, I was surprised. We were in Summer Hill trying to get dinner somewhere else but they couldn't squeeze us in, so we ended up at Southern National. The food was SO good. Great variety, fresh ingredients, flavorful. The drinks and wine selection are spot onz and we've always had great service. We've added this to our regular rotation.“

We were sent home with delicious Wonka style candy bars and gave one to our daughter Georgia (who is a huge fan of the Willy Wonka movies) and she was in awe! We will definitely be returning!“

“Came here to kick off my best friends bachelorette and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing, Frannie was our server and she was excellent even took the time to memorize all of our names. We all ordered different plates so that we could share and try everything and every single thing we ordered was delicious. The duck deserves an honorable mention, it was cooked to literal perfection. “This place is out of this world fantastic. The pastrami is near perfect. We dined for brunch and tried piled high pastrami, the general breakfast with schmaltz potatoes, deviled eggs, and pastrami and grits. We also had coffee and egg cream. We finished off brunch with a round of desert: cheesecake, coffee cake, and chocolate cake. Everything was so good from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food and I can’t wait to go back here.“

“Heard so many good things about this place so I decided to come check it out and I’m so happy I did! Tried the grinder sandwich, melon salad and house brewed coffee for lunch while I worked in the back patio. The generous sized sandwich was super flavorful with different cuts of meat and the melon salad was unique and very refreshing. The atmosphere of this place is so cute. Loved the open kitchen concept. The staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back for their dinner service!“

I had the blue crab legs (boiled and chilled so it was served cold with some sort of mango garlic vinaigrette?) and omg, I loved it so much. I didn't expect it to taste that good. The trout was perfectly cooked and the skin was crisp. The caramelized sweet potatoes were divine. The spinalis steak was tender and the onion ring that came with it has a really good flavor and texture. Very happy with everything.“

“My husband and I was looking for some place new to go for dinner and i found this place on the internet. We had never heard of it and it was close to our home so we decided to check it out. The set up is nice. I believe there are 3 or 4 dinning rooms. The staff was really nice and very attentive. We didnt make any reservations which they do prefer but they sat us still without a wait. The drinks were really good and they did not hold out on the amount of alcohol. Now the dinner. OMG Dinner was off the chain. I tip my hat off to the chef. I had the Honey Glaze Salmon and my husband is vegan so he had The Smoked spinach Asparagus Mashed potatoes and Brocolini. When I tell you this had to be the best food with so much flavor. We were more then pleased. The only complaint we have is the music got really loud. If couldnt hear each other even if you are sitting right next o each other. But other then that I will definitely return and I must say I am adding this to my list of best restaurants in Atlanta.“
