Husband and I made the 45 minute drive down from Tennessee. We are big into distilleries and having completed the TN Whiskey Trail started looking for other nearby distilleries to try out. Found this one and decided to visit on a whim one Saturday and boy am I glad we did. Let us sample lots of different items, took time to explain their offerings. I visited Dalton Distillery in 2018 and again in 2020 when I was in town to attend family weddings, and had the pleasure of meeting Raymond Butler. He gave our crew a tour of the distillery and samples of his amazing ‘shine and sunflower seed liquor. (His samples added a little soul to an otherwise dry wedding). The ambiance leaves a little to be desired. However, the moonshine they put out rivals some of the best I've tasted. They will even go to the back and get you the high proof, if it's available. The taste is soo good, man!
