Jung’s Kitchen 정가네 is a restaurant that offers a great experience with delicious, fresh food full of authentic Korean flavors. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, and the service is friendly and attentive. The staff are helpful at explaining and helping you decide if you are unfamiliar with the menu. The atmosphere is perfect, and everything comes out fresh and full of flavor.
The Tteokbokki tastes just like the kind mom used to make at home—super comforting and nostalgic. It is not overly spicy or heavy, just perfectly balanced, and you get TWO big hard-boiled eggs and a really generous portion. The 우거지 갈비탕 (Napa cabbage & beef short rib soup) is delicious with a big portion, and the rice has a mix of barley too. The beef tendon soup is good, and the banchans taste fresh and flavorful, with the thinly sliced radish kimchi being a favorite for its nice tang and spice. The lunch box looks really good and decently priced.
The restaurant is super spacious and great for groups, especially if you’re worried about splitting checks, since you can order your own portion at the kiosk. It is kiosk run, so no tip necessary. They also sell precooked foods and tubs of kimchi, and there is a section in the store where you can buy their homemade banchan that aren’t priced too crazy.
