“I was very excited to try Jang Su Jang! I've heard lots of good things and wanted to eat some authentic Korean Food! We got the 된장찌개 and the 갈비찜. The Soybean Soup did not taste bad, but it was definitely different than what I am used to. I've had it at many different restaurants before, and the taste at Jang Su Jang is very different. Despite this, it was still pretty good, but not what I was hoping for.

The Braised Beef Short Ribs were humongous. We could not finish it, but it was decent. I wasn't really blown away by the taste of the food. However, the service was impeccable and extremely friendly. I would still recommend this place.“

“First, the people were kind and pleasant. We wanted to try another vegan spot so we jumped on Happy Cow (app). We ordered the Neek Sampler...I highly recommend it. I had the Neek Kabob, it was delicious. It's a Soy protein mixed with onions and spices...w/saffron rice and grilled peppers, onions and tomatoes. My wife had the Zereshk Polo with Oyster mushrooms, served with saffron rice and barberry. Can't forget the Beet Rose Lemonade. Not too sweet...refreshing.“

“Very nice brewery! It feels more like a restaurant I'd say, as the food is made in-house with quite a large menu. I don't drink beer, so I can't comment on the drinks, but we did order a variety of food. The parker house rolls were very good! And reasonably priced. The burger was well prepared, and the double-stacked patty was nice to see as it felt like a great serving of meat (I hate thin burgers). The fries were hot and fresh. My only complaint, and the reason I deducted a star, is my entrée (the grilled trout) came out significantly later than everyone else's food, which was a bummer as I was the only one not eating. And I received no apology or compensation for the late food. Maybe just an "off" day for kitchen. Everything else was well enjoyed.“

“My first time experiencing hot pot and it was so amazing. Food is very fresh. Service is outstanding. My only gripe and reason for the 4 stars is the sauce/ accompaniment station where the sauce dishes stored. There was a little rust in one corner and rust residue is evident . I hope management will pay close attention and correct the issue right away. Otherwise, place is very clean and it was busy with patrons.“

“The bartenders here are what make my experience to tops! They are knowledgeable and friendly and actually greet you and interact with you. Glenn is great and Hunter is awesome. Hunter remembers your drink and food preferences and is always coming up with new drinks to try!
The food is excellent. I have a few favorites that I always get which makes it hard to try new things, lol. But I highly recommend the chicken panini (with extra arugula), the Ahi Tuna salad and the Shrimp and Grits. Large meals so bring a big appetite! The deserts are good but too big for one person and not a wide variety offered. I feel like there should always be chocolate on the menu and here there is not :(
The only other slight issue I have is that the floor is a danger for anyone wearing heels or slick shoes. Not only that but I almost always sit at the bar and the stools slide easily across the floor which is annoying.“

“First time dinning here & definitely will NOT be the last time. As soon as my partner and I stepped through the door, we felt so welcome by the manager at the hostess stand. We were sat very quickly & served right away. The staff was some of the nicest people I’ve ever been served by at a restaurant. The food was impeccable!! Give yourself 2hours minimum to really enjoy the experience and food if you visit. 11/10 overall (food, staff, customer service, experience)!!“

“Nice place to sit down and study or have a talk over boba and some snacks. The Taiwanese chicken nuggets are some of my favorite of all time, and the pearls are always good in the milk tea. There's plenty of seating, and the booths are nice, beware they are wood with not much padding.“

“This small cozy restaurant offers some intestines as the main dish to order. It may be adventurous to some who are not used to it, but if coming with friends it will be a fun time! While it is a Korean restaurant, don’t let that deter you if you only speak English and are unsure about the menu. The servers here are nice and are able to assist with both the cooking and explanation of the menu. Ordered a combo plus some additional large intestines as it seemed to taste the best in my opinion. While the restaurant can be busy towards the evening, the servers do try to help everyone. They may forget to fill waters/hot teas and take some empty dishes away but overall a great experience. Side note it feels a bit cheaper to drink beer/soju here compared to other restaurants so I felt encouraged to drink here with this meal and will highly recommend to drink alcohol when eating this kind of meal.“

“I’d been craving authentic traditional Banh mi for several weeks. On 9/10/24, I was shopping in a different area than I live or work. I Googled and Yelped Vietnamese food in the area. Banh Mi Cafe had high ratings on both platforms and the photos on both platforms revealed a place that didn’t look overly “commercial”. I knew I was going out on a limb ordering at a new (to me) Vietnamese restaurant in the midst of a craving. It’s almost like stacking the deck against the restaurant. But, that day logic was overwhelmed by the craving and I was willing to take the risk. First good sign - when I arrived, prior to dinner but well after lunch, there were a couple of families dining in, and someone getting take out. Second good sign- The atmosphere as depicted in the pictures felt very homey and service provided was pleasant and courteous. The ultimate sign - my take out order was the Banh Mi Dac Biet, Banh Mi Thit Nuong, Banh Mi Tom Nuong, and Pho Dac Biet. Banh Mi Cafe not only satisfied my craving for authentic Vietnamese it exceeded my expectations. The food was flavorful and bright. After we finished our meal, my husband said, “this is so good, I can eat this every week!”“

The kimchi omurice was so salty that it was difficult to eat.
It was salty overall, and when I chewed the kimchi, it became even more sour and salty, so I had no choice but to pick out all the kimchi and keep drinking water while eating it.
I felt like it was a waste to eat it all, but it was so salty that it made me feel sick.
I didn't lower the rating because it wasn't tasteless, but I would like to ask you to check it out.
It may be difficult to check up all the menus that are served countless times, but if it is not just the menu I ordered and all the kimchi omelet rice is salty and spicy, it seems that improvement is needed.

The food is always delicious and fresh and you can be in and out in a hurry for lunch or a quick dinner on the go. “My husband and I were traveling from our home in Bartlett (Memphis), TN on July 30, 2022 and were happy that my good friend found this place. The three of us collectively got five different menu items, and I had at least a bite of them all. I wish that we had a vegan place this tasty and affordable in Bartlett. It was fresh-tasting and didn't taste like fast food, but somehow the workers there did bring it out fast. If the owners or investors want to open a location in here in Bartlett, TN, we would go at least once a week. Believe it or not, there are a significant number of vegans here, because someone obviously is buying all of the mock meats and cheez and other stuff like that in stores here. And the two vegan restaurants I know of in this area are successful, from what I can tell. Without saying anything negative about the two places here, because they are great, I will say that your restaurant would be our favorite of the three!“

“I love trying different poke places, but this place was a bit of a disappointment. For the price of a small (comes with two scoops of protein) the bowls are REALLY small and shallow. A small is $13.99, and there are places that do a true bowl for less. The portions were tiny and I left thinking I could’ve had two more bowls at the size they were. Unfortunately I didn’t get photos, but it was the size of a regular bowl diameter, and basically just a shallow to go container. For one of my toppings, I asked for double of one veggie and I got a scoop and then a couple more pieces, which isn’t really double. I may go back, but probably not unfortunately. Atmosphere was clean and quiet and the service was good, slight language barrier but I don’t mind.“
