“I was passing through Flowery Branch and stopped in to see my friends Warren and Arlene Johnson. WJ, a many‑time world champion in NHRA Pro Stock, had me swing by the shop later in the evening. When dinner time rolled around, they suggested Crossroads Bar and Grill — and I had no idea I was about to discover a gem. We pulled up on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. Anyone who knows restaurants understands what that means: if a place is busy mid‑week, it’s because the food is worth showing up for. The moment we walked in, the owner greeted us personally. WJ and Arlene clearly have a “usual booth,” and it felt like it was waiting for them. Our waiter, Greg, was the kind of professional you’d expect in a high‑end dining room — personable, sharp, and already on top of their standard drink order. When it came time for me to order, I asked Greg what he recommended. He didn’t miss a beat. The ribs he brought out were phenomenal — and I’m from Texas, where ribs are practically a religion. These rivaled the best you’ll find anywhere in my home state, which is not praise I give lightly. Then came a surprise: fresh‑cut parmesan, sliced right off the block and served as a sample. Simple, but outstanding. A quick trip to the restroom gave me a look at the full dining room — a well‑trained staff moving with purpose, keeping a busy house happy. On the wall of patron photos, one stood out: Warren “WJ” Johnson himself, The Professor of NHRA Pro Stock, proudly displayed. If Crossroads were competing for an NHRA Wally, they’d earn it. This place is now my go‑to whenever I’m in the area.“

“The food here is always excellent. I am a repeated customer I have not had a bad dish yet. My favorite dish is the eggs christopher its the best Benedict around. Grits are always good, avacado is fresh. The servers are always nice and attentive.“

“Ate there for the first time this morning. Got a BEC biscuit that wasn't huge, but decent sized. It was good, not great. Got a SEC croissant that was average sized and it was good, not great. However, the cinnamon roll was phenomenal. It was still hot by the time I got home to eat it. Very flavorful. Granted, I didn't dine in, I went through the drive-thru. Overall, a solid experience, and I will be back.“

“I saw it advertised on Facebook so I wanted to stop by and see what it’s like. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by Heather and her husband Cristian with friendly smiles welcoming me in and asking what I’d like.

I decided to order the ‘Sweet Plate’ which comes with a whole pancake as big as the plate, your style of choice for the eggs, protein choice and a toast or biscuit. The food was delicious and was well balance. Definitely will get you full and enough energy for the day.

Overall, I’d recommend for anyone to try and will come back not just for the food, but the people which makes it better.“

“We have been traveling for the past few months from NC to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center to see family. We found this little jewel early on and always stop now. Hannah is an ah-mazing waitress and even though we don’t come often, remembers us and our drinks. Great food and true hometown feeling. Wish we lived closer!“

“The hash brown breakfast bowl is my favorite at Waffle House. Members of our church frequently go after the service. Stormy, the best waitress, is attentive and friendly.  Today we split a Cinnamon Crunch waffle. Instead of the waffle with an extra plate,  she split the waffle and dressed each plate into a smiling face. Details matter. This Waffle House #1865 is not the closest, but worth the drive. Thank you Waffle House and Stormy for the hearty meal and laughs.“
