“Great buttermilk flavor home mad biscuitsWent again the other day and needed to wash my hands, no tissue, no soap and no paper towels in the ladies room. The whole place smelled like bug spray. I couldn't eat my food because the soap I used in the men's room made my hands smell like bug spray also. Not a good experience.“
“If you are looking for the best homemade chicken n dumplings, look no further. You can find them on the menu every Wednesday. Her daily specials are posted weekly on her Facebook page. Her cakes, pies and cookies are the best you will find in Gainesville. The owner and staff make you feel right at home. Love this place.“
“Quillian’s offers more than just delicious food; it's a place where love and faith come together.Thank you for staying true to your beliefs and spreading the love of Jesus by showing it through the love you have for people. You will discover the unparalleled flavors and hospitality of Quillian’s!Denise's compassion and dedication to her staff and to the customers make every visit a memorable one.A hidden gem that deserves much more than just five stars! If I could I’d give them a million ⭐️’sKid-friendliness: They love the littlesWheelchair accessibility: Very equipped for wheel chairs. From entrance to restroom's, to dining. No issues.“
“Absolutely loved it. Seating was friendly. I'd recommend adding some type of ventilation where the front doors are so that way we won't feel the cold draft that comes inside when people exit and leave. Other than that small complaint I think it's very cozy atmosphere and the food service was too notch! It was also very clean and tidy inside.“
“I took my staff here for a holiday Lunch. Each one of our meals was great. Our waitress was outstanding and the pricing was fair. I have come several times for Brunch on Sundays, but lunch was awesome too.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“We celebrated my mother’s birthday with dinner, then a comedy show. The food was amazing, the headliner was hilarious, but most of all, Tony and his staff did a fantastic job accommodating our large party and made my mother feel so special. I can’t say enough about how great they were. We will definitely be back!!!“
“Went to Cheddar's for my birthday lunch with my husband and son. Our food and service were excellent as usual. Cheddar's is pretty consistent with both. But, I have to give a shot out to Taylor! She is an amazing server! Wonderful disposition. Genuine smile. Knowledgeable and attentive. She made suggestions that turned out to be perfect for us. We could hear her interacting with other customers. She was providing the same service across the board. Its hard to have great customer experiences in just about every industry lately. So, i make sure to mention anyone that goes above or beyond like Taylor!!“
“This place is definitely my go to for an awesome burger and great service! And don't forget about the drinks!Let's start with the Southern burger, it is a must have! No small patty here, it has a real burger patty, from bygone days. The pepper jelly and fried green tomato make it the masterpiece it is. We were sad they didn't have their fried green tomatoes on the appetizer menu ? those were the bomb. Also sad that the deviled eggs were the Mexican corn ones, cuz the ones we had last time with the bourbon bacon and pepper jelly , were one of the reasons we came back.Loved loved loved the bless your heart cocktail. Serving it in the coke bottle was a unique twist. And as usual the service was on spot. Lilli was awesome. Friendly, great with suggestions for cocktails, and took care of our fried green tomato fix. Lol“
“Good breakfast with a plethora of choices from eggs, cheese eggs, bacon, CFSteak,r tenderloin, fried eggs on and on. Its cafeteria style but coffee refills are by waitress who are very friendly and quick to serve. Ambiance is casual cafeteria style. I went in a Wednesday and the breakfast was large . Lots of club and bible stify folks here today. Heavy local presence. If you are looking for where the locals eat breakfast, this is it. You won't be disappointed unless you are looking for low sodium , vegan, options, go somewhere else , Gen Y and Z , this place probably ain't for you.“
“The food has always been very good. The service always excellent. It is pretty loud sometimes though but that's just most restaurants. Definitely a good place to eat. Portions are large too if you're looking for bang for the buck.“
“If I could give 10 stars, I would! I don’t think I’ve EVER had better service anywhere. Super friendly and accommodating, really made us feel like friends. The Breakfast Burger is to die for! Beautiful views of the golf course, nice atmosphere, great menu. We will definitely be back. ❤️“
“the food is good. I always get the baked potato with pork on top. the place is usually busy even if you go early. with any BBQ restaurant what you are looking for may not be available. it takes a while to prepare and cook the food. make sure you have a second option incase that happens. all the food is good.“
“My first time here, and it was very good. They were busy so service took a little while, but food was worth it. I got the Nashville hot sauce on my chicken, loved it. The turnip greens were delicious. No live music where we sat, but I think they have it in the back room.“
“Love this little country kitchen. Weezie's gravy biscuit is the best. If you go in early you might even get to meet Weezie and indulge in some good ol' southern hospitality. Weezie has Take n Bake- all HER secret recipes! In the summer on Saturdays she makes chocolate gravy!“
“This restaurant should be made into a historical landmark of Gainesville. It is incredibly popular, and for good reason; an unparalleled atmosphere with friendly workers and a classic American interior design, beautifully made burgers and perfectly seasoned fries, and the milkshakes - quite literally - are to die for. If you are visiting Gainesville, or if you’re a local who (somehow) has not passed by yet, I strongly recommend paying Collegiate Grill a visit - you will not be disappointed.“
“Good stuff!!This location was here when I was in high school in the 90’s and already felt like a classic back then! I was in the area and thought I’d stop by for a burger again. The slaw burger - big and flavorful, onion rings - plump and juicy, and a butterscotch shake that was enormous, sweet, creamy and cooling made for a delicious and very filling lunch! There’s a reason this place has been around as long as it has and you should definitely check it out yourself if you’re in the area.“
“When we come to Gainesville, we always visit this store. The food is always outstanding, the store is immaculate and the service is friendly and efficient. Jason always has a positive attitude and a dimpled smile that lights up the room. He is an outstanding asset to this business.“
“Had a party of 11 people, and a party of 13 that was behind us was seated before us, after we had waited for over 30 minutes to be seated. The food was excellent and our waitress was excellent as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms were plenty big for a person in a wheelchair, and the serving area had plenty of room between stations.“
“Wanted a quick meal while passing through Gainsville. Spotted the Hickory Pig when coming into town. The building looked interesting on the outside so we pulled in. I had a pulled pork sandwich with beans and greens. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich with stew and greens. We made a good choice. The food was delicious and the owners were very entertaining. We will be eating at the Hickory Pig again the next time we are in Gainsville.“
“The food, altho a bit expensive was well worth it, the service was good, albeit it took longer than expected for the food to come out, the employee apologized for the extended wait and the walleye was excellent! I highly recommend Culver's and the limited time walleye to anyone who is a fan of fried fish.“
“Ordered a pecan waffle, large breakfast, and double cheeseburger plate with the hash browns all the way. When shown the grape jelly, we asked for and got strawberry, all the while our server was smiling. I asked for, and actually got, extra tomatoes for my burger... Excellent! Ripe, yet firm and juicy, the tomatoes were perfect combo with the onion. Ambience was chill even though the place was busy. It never got too loud. Server was excellent, just the right amount of attention.“
“Absolutely amazing! I love coming here and it’s so close to where I work! I definitely recommend trying this place out and the staff is super sweet! They’re quick and very welcoming in the restaurant! Definitely worth checking out! Also this guacamole burger was absolutely amazing and so tasty!“
“Great non traditional menu and really special wait staff!! The Million Dollar Bacon is to die for!! And it's included in the million dollar Bloody Mary!! The only thing I do not care for is the blueberry pancakes. Only about 3 blueberries in the pancakes. Everything else was excellent!!! I go every week or so!!!“
“Nine of us celebrated my wife’s birthday last night at Luna’s. Almost everyone ordered something different as their entree. The food was deliciously prepared, especially the evening specialty of mahi mahi. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was attentive and hit the happy medium of being just enough without being intrusive. We know the ownership of the restaurant has recently changed hands; however, it was clear the new owner is committed to keeping the restaurant up to the same standards as before. Luna’s is undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Gainesville. Eat there! You won’t be disappointed!!“
“I had the Bayou Burger (Jalapeños, Pepper Jack Cheese, Onions, Mushrooms) without the mushrooms. Very Very good burger, special sauce was extremely tasty. Wish I had ordered 2 burgers so I could take one home. Nice atmosphere, too. Lots of funny signs. I like it!“
“I had a very nice experience at Deli Max! My food (for 4 people) was prepared quite quickly. My wait time was no longer than 10 minutes despite having 3 other people in front of me. Our plates were given to us as soon as they came out and we were definitely satisfied with the plates. Excellent customer service and the place was extremely clean.“
“This location is turning into my favorite! Mainly bc the cool lady that works there! She’s been working in Waffle Houses everywhere and knows everything! Her name is RACHEL and she’s an AMAZING server! The atmosphere when she’s working is vibes! Love her and I’ll keep going back as long as she’s there! Shes gonna make sure your order is right, and she’s gonna get it out in record time! She’s a hard worker, never misses a beat! Shes so good at her job! So easy to talk to and she’ll make you feel right at home! ?????? ?? The best cook is also at this location, his name is Jonathan P.! Cooks my food to perfection!! I’ve never had a better grilled hash brown bowl! When those 2 work together you’re gonna have the BEST Waffle House experience!!!!“
“The last of the 3 old Gainesville biscuit joints--Captain Don's and The Biscuit Shoppe, RIP. Cheap and nothing fancy, prices to match. I only get ham or pork tenderloin biscuits, so I can't vouch for anything else. I only do take-out. They are big and tasty, and yes, they have possibly been pre-made and sitting under a heat lamp after a rush sometimes; that's how biscuit places run. Hard to find these little gems these days. I treasure it. (Also, fyi, the biscuits at the Dairy Queen are pretty good, too!)“
“Discovering Pelican Pete's Tiki Bar & Grill during the winter season was an unexpected delight! From the moment we stepped in, the cozy ambiance and warm decor set the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. The seasonal menu was a culinary journey of winter flavors, offering a delectable array of dishes that perfectly complemented the chilly weather outside.“
“Update as well...This was our first time here and what a wonderful gem it is. The atmosphere was fun and the staff friendly. Our server, Josh, went above and beyond go accommodate our needs and gave perfect recommendations. Their salad with the bacon ranch dressing was to die for and paired with their fresh bread made my wife so so happy. Their wings are the best in town and we are wing fanatics. This will definitely be one of our date spots from now on....only if Josh is our server though. Great job guys.Update:Went back for my 40th and my father 71st birthday dinner. We made a reservation and asked for Josh who had done such a great job last time. We were not disappointed. We arrived and we're seated promptly. He made sure we had good views of the Georgia game. He made great suggestions on food which I will review below. My family was meeting my wife's family for the first time and it was a great place to do it. We spent a couple of hours there from appetizers to desserts, which Josh brought me out a piece of cake with a candle and even some of their other desserts for our families to share. We had an amazing time and I will say again as I did after our last visit, we will be returning and asking for Josh.Ribeye- My father, a food snob, had the ribeye and loved it. He paired it with the eggplant Parmesan and was thoroughly satisfied.Prime Rib- My father in law and I had the prime rib and it was to die for. I had au gratin broccoli and a loaded potato and he had the potato and asparagus. We both were completely and utterly stuffed.Salmon Salad- My pregnant wife, not being able to eat steak, had the salmon salad after a regular house salad. She's addicted to the salads here with the garlic bacon ranch dressing.Cheeseburger - My son had the cheeseburger and I got a bite and have to say it is the best in town.Fried Cauliflower - Great appetizer covered with cheese.Bacon wrapped shrimp- Another great appetizer. So so good.Desserts- All amazing but the cheesecake was hands down the best.“
“Stopped here for lunch while traveling. Service was great, food was good. Would go again if I remembered where it was! JK.Parking: Lots of parking available, I believe the lot is also accessible for trucks/trailers/motor homes. Wheelchair accessibility: TONS of room in the restaurant. No problem seen at all as far as accessibility.“
“Shout out to Kevin... by far the best Waffle House cook I’ve got to experience since Dale took Daytona in 1998... they don’t make em like this guy anymore. You ask for dark hash browns, he gets them perfect, you tell him you want it sunny side up but not TOO runny... he knows exactly what you want. Gotta bike that meal up a hill? That’s fine, the packaging and bag work is beyond the best... if it ain’t bring it back and Kevin knows how to fix it.Yes sir, that’s a grilled chicken sandwich over easy egg with the bacon and cheese... that bacon tastes as perfect as it looks. It’s called the “Cody”...Go get you one before it becomes a tiktok sensation... but you better Ask for Kevin.“
“Been coming here for years working my way through the menu and it's all good. The place is a bit cramped but it's usually pretty crowded so consider getting it to go.These guys have their act together and it shows in the unpretentious tasty food. The BEST lunch spot in town.“
