“first time here, found this place on Google. it’s hard to find a GOOD Jamaican restaurant with good sauce and flavor at the same time. this place is so good!! the owner is really nice. next time ill get more sauce but this is my new fav place.jerk chicken w/ cabbage (large)“
“Came back to ClayCo to visit family. My mom was ranting and raving about this place so we went. The food was amazing and very tasty! The portions were large, fresh, and filling. I had the king fish meal. Extremely well made and the fish was fluffy. The drinks were well mixed and the adult beverages were strong. Hope it sticks around and keeps quality as it is a little off the main roads. Definitely a hidden gem of Forest Park!!!“
“Feel good atmosphere and loved the food and service! Thomas is awesome and so personable which makes you feel like you want to spend all day there. The plantain chips and queso is a delicious twist! My husband and I enjoyed the Cuban and guava cheesecake too! Cuban is one of, if not THE best, we’ve had. We have ventured all over the world and lived in different countries so we aren’t bluffing. We got the Grilled Red Snapper To-Go for my cousin and she said it was amazing! Seems like the type of place where anything you order will be tasty!“
“Our first time here my son wanted Jamaican so this was the place drove from locust grove and I was doubting the whole time after paying still doubting started eating all that went out the window the food is excellent and I would recommend anything on the “
“Was visiting ATL and our host took us by here. It’s a street side shop and glad we indulged in their delicious smoothies. They also had a soup of the day, that was delicious and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Would definitely recommend you give it a try if you’re ever in town.“
“First off about time someone knows how to cook curry. I went in Saturday evening asked for a doubles after eating the first one I got six more. The cook understand the assignment of cooking curry. I haven't eaten everything on the menu but my experience eating here was wonderful. I'll definitely be back for more doubles“
“I have been frequenting The Beverly since July ‘21 usually immediately after work on a week day. Great drinks and awesome finger food in an excellent location is the draw. But on Sunday my husband and I went in for “brunch”…. Let me tell y’all, the atmosphere combined with the perfect weather on the patio was perfect. His Texas Margarita and my Expresso Martini were made with perfection. Our server, Bri is the BOMB…even though she’s a Steeler’s fan. The expediters had our delicious, hot food out in record time. Kudos to the OWNER/Management team!! Keep it just like this. Don’t disturb this GROOVE!! …but next time have our jerk chicken egg rolls. -The Griffin’s“
“Ran into the owner a few times since they opened I’m a foodie so I love supporting black owned businesses world wide I ran into him again a few days before I actually went I sunt a coworker and he wanted a second plate being I’m a vegetarian as much as I wanted to try the meats I couldn’t everything smelled good looked good and the rice and cabbage was good and I got an extra side which was macaroni and cheese the plantains was good as well also got a jerk chicken plate dark for my boss as well he loved it @MrTime“
“I love this cafè. The food is so goooooooood and I’m not exaggerating. My go to are the lamb chop lollipops but honestly everything is worth the money. Ohhhh and don’t forget the rum cake. Thick slices moist cake my goodness. If you can’t tell I love good food andBass & Treble got that ??????“
“we just moved into town and I must say that I am extremely happy that I found this restaurant. Especially serving breakfast. 100% Authentic, brings good ole memories Growing up at my Jamaican grandmother‘s house, eating good food in the morning. The food was good, the portion was great, and priced just right. True customer. Big up ???“
“I've been eating here for almost two years. The customer service can use some improvement. The food hands down is my favorite Jamaica spot to go. The beef patties are good. I've had the curry goat which is my favorite. The jerk pasta is my daughter favorite. The beef patties Is a family favorite. The older age wo.a. is very kind everything I come. The younger two ladies attitudes are a hit and miss. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's horrible. I'll prefer the mother to be at the front. I do love the food here. Try it for yourself tell them I sent you.“
“This is a take-out spot! Don’t expect to sit down and beware of the Js! Once you look past the fact that it’s in a dirty gas station, you’ll be alright. The food was really good. I ordered griot and rice. You get a nice size portion of everything. I paid $20. It wasn’t the best griot I ever ate in Atlanta but it was decent. The pikliz seemed kinda old. It wasn’t spicy at all but it tasted good. Haitian food is so hard to find in Atlanta that I would literally eat it from the back of a gas station! I would definitely come back!“
“This place is the real deal. I take everyone I can to eat this food. The collards, fish cake, chicken paddy, the samosas and the black eyed peas? They’re delicious. The maduros and mock goat? GTFOH.I come back time and again though for the jerk bean curd…if that’s what it’s called. I get it every time. The BBQ Tofu is on point and whenever I bring friends, they comment about the spice level which makes me ??? This is one of my favorite vegan spots in Atlanta. I’ll be back again and again. Atmosphere is simple. Can eat inside or outside. Tiny spot with big flavor. I highly recommend. If you go, you gotta grab a licorice stick at the end too. Excellent for post-meal digestion and honestly, I don’t know another spot in ATL offering that. This is the kind of place the late Anthony Bourdain would have loved. It’s off the beaten path, affordable, delicious, unique flavors, locally owned. Beats Planta by a mile and a half.Vegetarian options: Eat here do not delay.“
“Looking for a jerk restaurant for my dad and I moving from Chicago (best food ever ?) to Georgia. The reviews did not lie!! Food was delicious! Servings were nice sized and the people were friendly. That jerk sauce is bomb!!My only drawback was the chicken could have been grilled a little longer…that didn’t stop dad and I from finishing our plates!“
“My sister and brother-in-law were in town from Miami and wanted some good down-home seafood, and Conch Heaven did not disappoint! The cracked conch was amazingly tender and shrimp perfectly cooked. Five of us dined well and were more than satisfied!“
“Food was fantastic. Waitress was top notch, especially considering we were a group of 15 with individual tickets. She remembered everyone's order perfectly! Now that I know this place carries one of my all time favorite drinks, that I can't get anywhere else, I will definitely be back!!!“
“I eat here quite often, I first tried it last year around November, it is so good, if you're a student at GSU or if you live around the area I beg you to check it out. The food is fantastic, they serve it to you nice and hot, everything is fresh. The service is good as well, very nice people behind the counter. And the vibes in the market are really nice. Please check it out if you're in the area!“
“It was my first time. I normally wait for a few encounters before I review. However, since I don't have plans to return soon I wanted to let you know that this place is worth a visit. Go with some friends and have yourself a grand time. ✨️“
“Very friendly staff and the food is INCREDIBLE. I got the jerk chicken plate with rice and peas, cabbage, plantains, and mac & cheese. Everything is seasoned really well, and the chicken so tender it fell off the bone. The sauce they served on the side was delicious as well!“
“Best Jamaican food I've come across in San Antonio. The restaurant has a lot of tables and a large bar which you can also sit at. The first question I asked our wait-staff was how their Jamaican food compared to Jamaica. I've been to Jamaica before and love the locally cooked Jamaican food. I really love the jerk meats. The person answered that the owner is from Jamaica. I noticed right away after eating some of their jerk quarter chicken and their mango Bonnet that the flavor was outstanding.“
“Ive eaten here 3 times this week The food is always good and fresh. It's well seasoned and authentic. My favorite is the jerk chicken salad or salmon salad with the onion vinegarette dressing.. The oxtail dinner with rice n peas & cabbage is good also. The place is clean and the wait isn't long. The parking is good too. I'd recommend.“
“Table for 2 for lunchApproaching the restaurant and looking at the outside, it looked very unimpressive and generic. I quickly found a spot in the huge shared parking lot. It looked like a few of the surrounding stores were shut down and abandoned. I waited for my friend to arrive, because he had been here before. He arrived and we entered. He advised that the indoor dining room was to the left and I could see they also had a counter, to the right, where you could place a takeout order. We seated ourselves in the dining room, which was pretty empty. The interior decor pretty much matched the outside look, very understated. Our server quickly came by to take our drink orders. I ordered a ginger beer. Then we quickly decided on our entrees. My friend ordered the boneless jerk chicken meal and I ordered the Curry Chicken Roti. I asked if the Roti was big enough for a full meal because I was also contemplating ordering the Curry Chicken meal. Our server explained it should be good enough portion. The food came out pretty quickly and my Roti was huge, more than enough for lunch. I started to dig in and It was “on point”. It was very tasty and seasoned well. My friend commented that his Jerk Chicken meal was also very very good. We were eating and chatting it up in the dining room and our server Santee continued to check on us to make sure everything was going well. He was very attentive throughout our visit and we were not being rushed out of the dining room. Overall, a good experience and I would return to try some other things on the menu. A couple side notes, when I left I had an oily taste in my mouth for a little bit. On a good note, when I heated up my Roti two days later, and it was just as good.“
“I’ve been looking for a good Caribbean restaurant in the ATL for a while. The food was good and service was spot on! I told the server it was first time and she explained that a plate came with a meat and two sides and the plantain came with dinner. I had jerk salmon, kale, with rice and peas. Awesome flavors. The plantain was NOT sweet but I will be back.“
“Well my wife said she's at the exit door of our relationship...I said earlier today well let's get away for a moment to chill. You guys made my day and made me smile in the middle of a train wreck ya diggg! with the drink-food and atmosphere! If she's gone Dexter and the band serenaded us away...man those guys played my tears away. I'll be back asap!“
“Feelin' for some Island Cuisine...? Look no more. Right in Riverdale, this quaint restaurant to accommodates with hot-table ready dishes. My friend truly enjoyed their j*** chicken meal with rice and peas, plantain and cabbage. Yum, yum!“
“Throughly surprised that I had a good time. I didn't really expect much because of the location... but I will say I enjoyed myself, music was decent but my lemon drop and meal were really good. I had the stew chicken, broccoli and Mac and cheese... I would definitely get that again. The chicken wings were ok, on the petite side but they weren't bad. The mozzarella sticks needed to be a little warmer...“
“Spent $40 for a half and half oxtail and jerk chicken, with a side of MacCheese and a beef Pattie. Mac was not baked but was just made fresh with a garlic flavor homemade cheese sauce. This was my 2nd time coming here. Let’s just say I will gladly let them take my money again!! Lol Everything was good and service was good also.“
