“I ate here 2 nights in a row and got the same sandwich it was great both nights busy tasted better the second night! Thank you to Lisa and I forgot the cooks name but I know Lisa was the server! She did great! Will definitely be back and highly recommend the big house BLT!!!“

“My wife and I just returned from celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, at the Valhalla Resort Hotel. We absolutely LOVED it! The minute we drove up to the hotel’s front door, we were greeted by Steve, a tremendous valet! He genuinely treated us like we were the most important people in the hotel, right from the get go! Then, as we walked into the hotel, Judy welcomed us in with a smile, and explained to us what Valhalla had to offer. I felt like we were visiting with friends! Our room was beautiful, and quite festive, as our youngest daughter purchased the “Celebrate You” package for us! Later that evening, we went to have a drink at the Sky Bar, which has beautiful Mountain Views! Matt was the bartender, who fixed us an Old Fashioned, a Jalapeño Margarita. DELICIOUS! Matt is full of personality, and was right on point both days we spent time with him! Lastly, we met Jerry Murdock, the owner. Jerry was as kind as can be, and is an absolute riot! Thank you Valhalla, for helping to make our 30th wedding anniversary a most special one! We will be back!“

“What a cool bubble tea shop! It's also listed here on Google as Honey on the Hill. Love that you can grab some boba in Helen now. Head up to the second floor for a whimsical break from the world.

Our drinks were delicious and refreshing. There is a wide variety of teas and toppings here, including popping Boba and jellies. They have all the good stuff from milk teas and fruit teas to slushies and more. You'll definitely find something to love on the menu.

The honey store connected to the cafe is lovely and the family running the place are all so kind and helpful. I got to sample some honey and it was really good. There are also a lot of honey and bee themed home decor and kitchen goods in their shop.

The decor is amazing! There are the coolest beehive murals on the ceiling and walls and there is a deck overlooking the main street of Helen that is perfect for people watching - literally the best location in town! It gets you above the hustle and bustle of everything because it's on the second floor.

“Food was excellent, but damn did it take forever to collect the order. We were told 30 minutes for pickup, we ended up waiting an additional 30 almost 40 minutes after that. Then they forgot to charge us, luckily for them the wife is honest and flagged down a server to pay.“

“Overall, we had a good experience. The restaurant had a cool look. The potato pancakes were good- crispy on the outside. They had a hint of flavor, but needed more. It was great with the apple sauce. The pretzel was fluffy and soft with very delicious cheese! It was so cheesy and had a distinct taste. I think in general our problem was the good was bland. My husband had the chicken sandwich and said it was good- the flavor coming from the burnt parts. I got the beef roast- it was good, but it was slathered in gravy. The carrots and potatoes needed seasoning. My son got the chicken schnitzel. It was soggy. The mashy potatoes had a good texture, but needed seasoning. The spaetzle was also soggy- maybe that's how they are supposed to be? I don't know much about German food, but maybe this is how it's supposed to taste?? We went back a second time and sat in a different room- there were no TVs and the lights were super bright so we got out food to go. The pretzel was just as good. The french onion soup was okay- probably better there. The mozzarella was not was stretchy/stringy as I remember. It also might not have been mozzarella- not sure. We also had a piece of German chocolate cake. It was good. The cake was moist and the cream was thick with coconut and nuts!“
