“Passing through on our way to Atlanta. This place was close to our hotel and had a covered patio where they welcomed our toy poodle. THEN, the service, the food! Best oysters on the half shell ever - rivaling the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station in New York City. Fried green tomatoes - delicious! Popcorn shrimp terrific! Yummy Cole slaw and cheesy grits. I was amazed and delighted to have found this treasure. Such friendly and fun staff served us very quickly and graciously. Great experience!!!“

“We have been going to Austin’s for years! We have been anxiously waiting for the new building and was finally able to experience Austin’s in its new location (right behind the old location) and it didn’t disappoint! The food is still great, the service still friendly and the restaurant still nostalgic. “The food was freshly prepared except for my mashed potatoes. Besides that, the food is flavorful, especially the queso cheese and chips. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the customer service was impressive. Our server was pregnant at the time and did not miss a beat. She was on point and very attentive.“

“I'm still going to recommend this place because I come over once in a while because I have always loved this place but this last visit was awful. I got the Nachos Supreme but they were so dry wasn't any cheese on them. he told me that they only put shredded cheese on the nacho Supreme which I showed him there wasn't even any shredded cheese. but rather than offer me some cheese to put on there he just told me he's sorry and to have a good evening SMH just an offer to add more cheese would have been enough to make me happy and come back“
