“I finally made it to Monarca Mexican Restaurant, and I have to say I was impressed. Being from California, I’m usually pretty critical when it comes to Mexican food, but Monarca delivered.
The ceviche was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The shrimp, avocado, mango, tomatoes, and onions all tasted fresh and balanced, letting the ingredients shine instead of drowning everything in sauce. The pork belly tostones were another standout: crispy, rich, and packed with flavor.
What I appreciated most was the attention to presentation and quality. The food looked as good as it tasted, and everything arrived fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere felt modern and upscale, and the service was friendly and attentive.
I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. If you’re looking for Mexican food that’s a step above the usual Tex-Mex experience in Columbus, Monarca is worth a visit. 🌮🍤🥑“

“Went there after my brother's turning green ceremony. We were looking for some authentic Mexican food and we were not disappointed. Food was great and the service was so friendly and attentive. We're not from Atlanta or I would definitely go back!“
“So, if you want your cookie-cutter Mexican restaurant with the generic salsa, chips, tacos, etc., this is not your place. But, if you want to have fantastic authentic Mexican food, this is for you. It’s a one person shop, so do expect fancy, but you aren’t paying for fancy: you’re paying for good food.“

“I've been a couple of times I have a great experience every time I come into town to see my niece and take her out for family time, this restaurants seems to be the choice and a very good place for us, every time we come we experience a variety of foods, and everyone gets a delicious meal we often have to go plates since we never eat it all, and the atmosphere is great.“

“Great service, check out the queso birria tacos/ enchiladas they're the bomb. pretty sure everything on the menu taste great just haven't gotten to the rest of it just yet but am willing to try anything from the menu at some point whenever I get an appetite on.They're pricey but never a disappointment & overall 100% recommended/satisfied“

“The food tasted great. You can either have the buffet and pay by the pound or order off the menu. The salsa there is not spicy. The medium tastes more tomato-like, while the spicy has an almost nonexistent kick. I just wish the horchata tasted stronger, but the people there are so nice 💚“

“😏 this is a cozy little spot to have food and drink with friends or a female partner especially in the evenings this is not a big time restaurant it's more on the mom-and-pop side so be prepared to take your time and sit down to eat with paper plates plastic utensils and styrofoam cups so don't come here trying to be bougie 😂😂“
