“I never eat at restaurants below a 4.3 but glad I didn’t see this rating before I sat down because it’s quite inaccurate! I’m a foody and sushi is in my top 3 categories of frequented restaurants. The sushi was great and the prices are exceptional. It’s a family run restaurant and the atmosphere is just that. It’s not a chic, boutique sushi restaurant which is why the prices are very reasonable. If you want good no frills sushi this is your place!
Most complaints and 1 star ratings are coming from size of sushi on $1 sushi night. People….it’s $1 sushi!!!“

“We stopped in here on a whim... spontaneous night out. The place has japanese vibes inside and was quite comfortable. They appeared busy and our food still came out fast. Food..... was GREAT. Best fried rice we have ever had. We did the large sashimi platter, and some Nigiri blue fin Toro and wagyu A5. I see a bad review or two in the reviews.... not sure if they caught them on a bad night or something but, for us.... this was great. Added to our list we would consider becoming regulars.“

“A true hidden gem. Went here with friends this year and last year. Overall the seating inside is small only 8 tables but the service is great and the food is tasty. The wait time for the food can be long but it is worth it. Food comes piping hot and is fresh. I got the vegetable curry which was cooked perfectly, not spicy, and went well with white rice. Actually needed to order 2 more orders of white rice to make sure I used all of the sauce because it was so good. Highly recommend this place. Tempura is tasty is too. Prices are very reasonable.“

It’s run by a wife and husband and their daily hours are limited which allows for the food to be 10/10 also really recommended placing a reservation prior to going or else you might be turned away as they have only a limited amount of tables to also help the experience and be tended to in the best way. The sushi and sashimi is so fresh and delightful not in anyways fishy! We also had the beef skewer and that was also phenomenal! They knew we were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and brought out extra treats for us and made this experience 100 times better, if that’s even possible! We can’t wait to be back, we are already planning our next trip back!“

We stopped by tonight to get dinner to take home based on the great reviews. We were both delighted with the overall experience as well as the quantity and taste of the food and will definitely be back.

We both had hibachi dinners and they were fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend ordering ahead of time if you’re in a hurry. It wasn’t busy so we were out in under 15 minutes. We also noticed that the place was super clean and the two ladies cooking/packing seemed super efficient.“

“Hands down, the best sushi I've ever had. They incorporate truffle oil in some of their rolls and if you like truffle, you cannot go wrong. Very savory. I'd recommend the avocado balls, crunchy spicy tuna roll and the snow crab in miso soup. The truffle aioli salmon appetizer is another hit. The cocktails - Wow! Thai Me Up is a their version of a spicy margarita but they use some sort of oil and it is delicious! I'll be craving that drink for a long time. It's not cheap but if you're looking for a treat or have a special occasion, it's a full recommend from me! “Our family has been loyal customers of Asahi for close to twenty years and were so sad to find out that it sold. Once we realized that the entire staff (and menu) has moved to Sake, we just had to follow.

We were greeted by our favorite familiar faces (who even remembered us instantly!) and couldn’t believe our luck. The food was the same delicious and amazing quality (especially their signature ginger dressing!), the chefs had their classic show, and the atmosphere was even better than it was before.
