“We stopped by 45 mins prior to closing after leaving the SEC Championship game. Our server Daryl greeted us so kindly and made us feel right at home. From beginning to end, our visit was very pleasant. We received fresh hot biscuits and did not wait long for our food. You can tell that Daryl is a hard worker and very caring about his customers experience. He went above and beyond ensuring we got everything we ordered and wanted. He seemed to be working the dining room by himself with several tables and always had a smile on his face. We don’t eat out often these days because it’s tough to have a positive experience with service and food so we were so thankful to have both today! Thank you Daryl for being so wonderful. We hope to see you next year!“

“We tried the Beautiful Restaurant yesterday and absolutely loved it. Just an absolutely delicious home-cooked meal, pure comfort food, good for the soul. The ribs were falling off the bone, so flavorful. The dressing, the mac and cheese, the collards. All absolutely unreal! Everybody was so friendly—the diners, the team, the manager. There was such a sense of community. We will definitely be back.“

I had the Blackened Catfish with rice and beans and an Orange Still Diva Beer To Drink. It was her two favorite items and I had no complaints! Renisha service was the best service I have had in years. My water cup was never low and if I had more time I would have had another beer. Renisha Was Very Patient With Me Even Though The Restaurant Was Very Busy. She is also a team player and is willing to pick up the slack from others. “Apparently this is a new establishment. The staff seemed to be disorganized. The quality of a good server, having been one, is to always scan your tables. Your customers should never have to summon you. If they are not looking at their food or members of their party the server should immediately catch their eye to see if they need something. The servers passed near our table numerous times but did not check to see if we needed something. Otherwise they were very courteous. The food was excellent. It came fast. The ambiance was great. The location next to the Porche track was nice. We will definitely come back another time hoping the service is more efficient.“

“This was a great ending to our short weekend in Atlanta. We made a reservation with RedEye Southern Kitchen to be close to the airport for out flight home that night. It was wonderful The staff was amazing and kind. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I was so appreciative that our waitress, Tish, asked if I wanted to place the kids' orders in first. We did and they got to start munching while we enjoyed a drink. My cocktail that the Tish suggested had a peach flavor to it and was not to sweet or overpowering! It was delicious! The food was amazing. The three adults order the sliders trio, the ribeye, and the Coca-Cola short ribs. Cooked to perfection. Each of us enjoyed out meals. Even the kids who both ordered chicken tenders! The enders were real chicken and lightly breaded which I love. It did not come from a frozen bag to be heated up. The atmosphere was nice. The decor is dark, sleek, and modern. It is in the open of the hotel and a bit loud but it added some excitement to the dinner. We were not guests of the hotel but treated just the same!“

For over 15 years, Annie Laura’s Kitchen has been a consistent go-to for me, and with good reason—the food is, more often than not, exceptional and absolutely finger-licking good. Their Southern comfort dishes carry a depth of flavor that keeps me coming back time and again.

Out of well over a hundred visits, I can recall only three occasions where the food fell short: twice, the turkey wings arrived undercooked, with meat still visibly red and inedible; once, the macaroni and cheese carried the unmistakable tang of spoiled milk. Those rare missteps, however, have never been enough to deter me from returning. In my book, 3 off-days out of 100 is a pretty remarkable track record.

The staff, particularly the young men and women taking orders outside, deserve special mention. Whether in the blazing summer heat or under a drizzle of rain, their attitudes remain warm, professional, and welcoming—a standard of service that deserves recognition.

Another point in Annie Laura’s favor is its pricing. Whether you’re dining solo or feeding a family of six, the portions are generous, and the value is undeniable.

That said, my overall rating of 4 stars reflects one lingering issue: the atmosphere. Both the exterior and interior are in dire need of an upgrade to match the quality of the food. The interior has long been closed for dine-in service, and reopening it could not only enhance the dining experience but also help alleviate the notoriously long drive-thru wait times—especially on Sundays.
