“Well I had to say on the service it was good It could have been better but I know it was lunch but you always supposed to be pair for lunch Even if no one shows up you supposed to always have a certain amount prepared especially if you know your business but the food is A1 top tier a great taste clean looking It's just a overall great place to get your Jamaican food Great menu definitely call and check them out and see what's available I can't see if they have a website but you can still I think that they may have pictures definitely check them out and tell them Jimmy Harper sent you“

“I LOOOOOVEEEE THEIR FOOD! The jerk chicken is absolutely AMAZING! ITS THE BEST JERK IVE EVER HAD! The flavors will make your taste buds explode! I've been eating from here for the last 3 years and I've never been disappointed! The owners are always nice and the patties and plantains are delicious! These people have the BEST sweet plantains, I've been to other places and nothing compares!

Also the prices and portions are beyond reasonable. I normally eat off of my plate for atleast 2 days!“

“I discovered A Taste of the Island by accident a few months back and I have been on it ever since. Every time I go, the service is good. The food is fresh, and the price point is a great value for the portion size and quality of food.

My go-to quick meal is a Beef Patty with Coco Bread. Now, the beef patties are good and flavorful so you gotta get them early as they usually run out during the day (I get two when I go). The coco bread is always thick, fresh and very buttery. It is great by itself as well as with the patty.

For a main entreè my go-to is the Brown Stew Chicken with Rice and Peas and Steamed Cabbage. Babeeeeeeee. It is a 10/10 every single time. It’s never a miss. The chicken is meaty, well flavored, and perfectly tender. The rice and peas are flavor and tender and hiit even harder with that brawn stew gravy. And that cabbage! My my my, this is steamed cabbage done right.

I’m on a personal mission to try everything at A Taste of the Island, however, the Brown Stew Chicken has me in a hold at the moment. LoL!!!

“BEST gotdamn rice and peas I've had in a long while. I get it with ox tail gravy and I also get the cabbge. I mix the two. It's super good. I tried the ginger drink that's made in house and it's reallly good, almost better than when I juice myself. I'm not one to write reviews if I do it's because something is eitehr that good or that bad. This is that good. I live down the street for years and work in the area and never knew they were there. Glad I found this place.“

The curry shrimp, ackee and salt fish, the oxtail was fantastic. Shout out to Kevin, we would send all of Atlanta there for breakfast, lunch and dinner if we could.“
