“Our second trip to GSG was not as pleasant as the first. Our table was plagued with several flies that harassed us our entire meal, I actually dispatched an ant crawling on the table too. Our smoked fish dip appetizer was extremely “fishy” like it was made with mullet or something. It was not good. We each tried one taste and left it alone. The crab stew was great. My triple tail special was great. My daughter’s bacon poached salmon was supposed to be prepared medium, but it was rare…very. So, I wound up trading her a portion of my dinner so she would not have to eat almost raw fish. Overall, I expected much more consistent greatness given the difficulty we have had obtaining a reservation. Disappointed“

“We just had an amazing meal and Jason the manager was amazing! They were so friendly, food was quality, and not only fresh but delicious! All around a great restaurant and I recommend as a must visit if you’re in the area.“

“Great food. Get there early. This place gets packed. The red snapper with jalapeno cream sauce was very tasty. It was perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. The crab cakes were really good. Blackened shrimp was the best I had all week. The special was a salmon in a lemon cream sauce. My kid really liked it and it was a really nice portion. The salad and bread was really good. The cinnamon butter that comes with it was awesome. We always visit Crabdaddy's when vacationing in SSI. You can make reservations in advance, too.“

“The service was 100% better (at the bar) than Crabdaddys. There is no comparison!! The food is different at both restaurants, but I would go back to Crabtrap if sitting at the bar. The Crab Soup was also100% better at Crabtrap. At least you will be waited on and even acknowledge when sitting at the bar.“

Prepared shrimp, homemade cocktail sauce, crab dip - are you kidding me? SO DELICIOUS! We're coming back to SSI this weekend and you can guess my first stop? St. Simons Seafood. It is truly out of this world. I'm excited to get the crab cakes this time. We were told that they're "out of this world". So grateful for all of the great reviews that prodded us to this magnificent place and the precious customers who guided us perfectly. What a jewel of an establishment. Cannot wait for Friday!!!“

“For the exception of ruining my Anniversary celebration that I had planned, everything else was okay. The food was good! Drinks were just strong enough and not just watered down! View was stunning! Service was average, I had called days in advance to reserve indoor window seating to celebrate our Anniversary. I had planned a whole “thing” I was going to do near the stunning view of the window for the wife. When we arrived they pulled our information and one lady asked us “indoor or outdoor?” The other hostess told her the system said “indoor with window seating” and gave her a look of disappointment. As they walked me to my sitting area it was not window seating and table was wobbly. I was unable to do my whole “thing” I had planned and just started off the evening not on a good start, but drinks made up for it 🤷‍♂️😒“

“Best restaurant in Georgia Everything on the menu is fresh, delicious, healthy and reasonably priced. I live on Saint Simons Island and eat there almost every day. Everyone from the management to the staff are hard-working, friendly and do a fantastic job. If you give it a try it will be your favorite restaurant. You will not be disappointed and Barbara Jean and Jim Barta Will see to it that you are super satisfied.“

“Was excited to try after reading reviews. Seated quickly and server took drink orders. Then the world stopped. After waiting 55 minutes we inquired about our order and learned from the hostess there was no “cook” in the kitchen. This became apparent when we noticed only one table in the entire restaurant, both inside and outside, had food on the table. Sadly, the food we did see didn’t look particularly good either. Plenty of other dining establishments nearby…do yourself a favor take a pass on this place! 1/17/23“

The views are simply spectacular, and to be honest the food,music, and drinks were totally amazing! I was expecting very little with the food and the service, but it was phenomenal. I was very impressed and can’t wait to go back.“

Our waitress was sweet, knowledgeable, and professional. Other waitresses were VERY unprofessional, verbally fighting over tables, speaking about how she was quitting (pure ignorance). She should have been fired for carrying on in the dining area around and disrupting customers.“
