“We had the great pleasure of venturing forth into this little piece of heaven last weekend. My sister and I met two long-term customers who guided us to our order, which was PERFECTION! Prepared shrimp, homemade cocktail sauce, crab dip - are you kidding me? SO DELICIOUS! We're coming back to SSI this weekend and you can guess my first stop? St. Simons Seafood. It is truly out of this world. I'm excited to get the crab cakes this time. We were told that they're "out of this world". So grateful for all of the great reviews that prodded us to this magnificent place and the precious customers who guided us perfectly. What a jewel of an establishment. Cannot wait for Friday!!!“

“We had the fried and blackened shrimp, which were both delicious, and a gin and tonic to go with it. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and a good spot to grab a meal while on the island. The folks next to us had the crab soup and raved how good it was. Will come back and try that next time.

(For those who plan, this place doesn’t take reservations. We got there right at 5:00 and sat right down. When we left close to 6:00 the place was packed and had a wait.)“

Service was average, I had called days in advance to reserve indoor window seating to celebrate our Anniversary. I had planned a whole “thing” I was going to do near the stunning view of the window for the wife. When we arrived they pulled our information and one lady asked us “indoor or outdoor?” The other hostess told her the system said “indoor with window seating” and gave her a look of disappointment. As they walked me to my sitting area it was not window seating and table was wobbly. I was unable to do my whole “thing” I had planned and just started off the evening not on a good start, but drinks made up for it 🤷‍♂️😒“

Everyone from the management to the staff are hard-working, friendly and do a fantastic job. If you give it a try it will be your favorite restaurant. You will not be disappointed and Barbara Jean and Jim Barta Will see to it that you are super satisfied.“

“Was excited to try after reading reviews. Seated quickly and server took drink orders. Then the world stopped. After waiting 55 minutes we inquired about our order and learned from the hostess there was no “cook” in the kitchen. This became apparent when we noticed only one table in the entire restaurant, both inside and outside, had food on the table. Sadly, the food we did see didn’t look particularly good either. Plenty of other dining establishments nearby…do yourself a favor take a pass on this place! 1/17/23“

“i don’t know why there is bad reviews. I honestly loved this place. the server was so sweet and kind, my favorite waitress i’ve ever had i loved hers . The food was really really good, everyone at my table didn’t have one complaint about the food. it was so nice and clean and it wasn’t busy at all it was super quiet and relaxed, only one other table in the room that had people. I did not regret and would 100% go again, i know i’ll be craving this in the future.“

“Finally went to The Ocean Lodge last night with my great friend, and we were both so pleasantly surprised. The views are simply spectacular, and to be honest the food,music, and drinks were totally amazing! I was expecting very little with the food and the service, but it was phenomenal. I was very impressed and can’t wait to go back.“
