My husband and granddaughter LOVE Bennie's! The atmosphere is amazing, they walk around and sing at your table island songs, gospel, and just fun songs:) The food is always really good! And a plus, any day on St. Simons Island is a happy day! *Seafood, steaks, fresh vegetables, Italian salad, spaghetti, great fried chicken, yummy desserts, cocktails. And, the barn atmosphere is fun:)
Our waiter was terrible. Party of 3 and kept mixing up our orders. However, the ribeye was delicious! And the rolls were fantastic. Definitely recommend the place for it's food.

I love the casual atmosphere. Bennies is an old barn with a huge fireplace. They recently discontinued Sunday brunch which in addition to Southern cooking included prime rib. I like how they will put a too rare piece on the griddle until it's perfect. Great place with wonderful people.Parking: Might avoid a wet day. The parking lot is not paved and walking in the mud is unavoidable.
