“LOVED the food, the price, the customer service! I’m currently dairy-free and they were accommodating and understanding. My family enjoyed the fried chicken, mac & cheese, french fries, corn on the cob & sweet tea. 10/10 would recommend! Thanks again for taking care of us.“
“We were able to get a seat immediately. Our server was pleasant. I ordered the shrimp and grits, dirty rice, and turnips which was delicious. My friend ordered the country fried steak, red beans and rice, and squash casserole. He said the steak was kind of salty, but everything else was good. I would recommend and visit again when in the area.“
“Great service! Everyone is very welcoming and proud of their establishment. The seafood is one of the FRESHEST I’ve seen in the coast southeast region! Great price point: appetizers under 18, market price for red snapper 22 (comes with a side dish, a bread loaf and salad)! This will be a new regular visit for us.“
“What a beautiful place to celebrate our anniversary! This was our second trip to Sea Island, our first being last February when we stayed at the Cloisters. Wonderful accommodations in a magnificant building. On that stay we played golf on each of their 3 fabulous championship courses. Hence, the reason for our return trip 5 months later. On this trip we decided to spend three days at the Lodge, located right next to two of the three golf courses and adjacent to St. Simons Sound. The grounds were beautiful and the service exceptional. Our room overlooked the golf course and was spacious, beautifully decorated and included special touches to make us feel comfortable and pampered. The staff was very friendly and all seemed to know we were celebrating our 39th anniversary. In fact, one evening when we returned to the room there was a bottle of wine and a plate with 7- huge chocolate covered strawberries. Boy did my wife love that! What a nice touch to a beautiful evening. We had our anniversary dinner in their renowned steak house (Colt & Alison) and enjoyed a perfect meal with superb top shelf service. And - a surprised anniversary dessert! Remember to wear a jacket. I forgot mine and was given one to wear, in my exact size. The Lodge has a beautiful open seating area which resembles an old English manor. Each evening we sat outside and were entertained by their bagpiper who performs at sunset. Naturally, we got to play the courses again and as expected, they were in fantastic shape. Each course was pristine, with manicured greens, white fluffy sand and a green carpet fairway. Our stay was wonderful and I highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to stay in a Five-star award offering world-class accommodations and golf on three beautiful Championship courses. Until next time … Thank you, Sea Island Walt Karpowski“
“Had the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Was one of the best sandwiches I've had and they are dog friendly. Our dog sat on the booth with us outside. The lemonade was yummy and the staff were really friendly. We will be returning to this restaurant to eat again.“
“I love the casual atmosphere. Bennies is an old barn with a huge fireplace. They recently discontinued Sunday brunch which in addition to Southern cooking included prime rib. I like how they will put a too rare piece on the griddle until it's perfect. Great place with wonderful people.Parking: Might avoid a wet day. The parking lot is not paved and walking in the mud is unavoidable.“
“The food is a 20 out of 10! This place is a vibe all on its own. April is down to earth, nice and attentive. The other team members were nice and attentive too. You can tell they work great together. The peach pound cake with vanilla ice cream is a must!!! We will be back before we leave town.“
“Sista's is simple and good! Saw this place along our travels and decided to give it a try. It was a small simple buffet with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, a variety of beans and other southern soul fixins. Loved it! I'll be back somewhere down the road again, and you're gonna love it too. Doesn't look like much, but a pretty tasty stop along the way.“
“Everything is so good! Catfish was amazingly moist and tender - same with the fried oysters! The crab stew is something of a creamy chowder and loaded with chunks of blue crab: really delicious. Soft bread and nicely seasoned blackened shrimp on the poboy.Service was great with Trina taking care of me. Samples of the soups were much appreciated!“
“Delicious! I had pot roast which was perfectly seasoned and yummy mashed potatoes. My husband had the wild shrimp and grits. He more than loved it. Best meal we had on Jekyll. I’m a pretty picky eater, a previous a server and hostess. Believe me when I say this place does it all right. The staff was swamped with a 45 minute wait and were still so kind and courteous. We ate at the bar which was fun. We had lots of time to ask questions and try the signature cocktails. Yummy.“
“Best burger in town! Garlic parm and spicy fries are really good. Been twice in the last week, it's that good. I really do need to try something else, but the burger is really good! They have live music on occasion and a good bar. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!“
“Large selection of desserts and entrées. Very friendly, welcoming, and kind staff. Reasonably priced. Some foods do appear to be from can such as the fruits, but that wouldn't keep me from recommending anyone nearby from giving it a try.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options scattered amongst buffet selections“
“Even in the chilly temps - the staff were professional and engaging, the food was prompt and flavorful. Don’t overpay for the California favorite Cabs - the house Private Selection was a great value. We will be back! Loved the deviled eggs app, the flavorful Cesar and the seafood gumbo! Thanks to Elizabeth for attentive service.“
“I was greeted with a smile and personally engaged, which is rare. My order was prepared quickly, brought right to me and asked genuinely if there was anything else they could do. I would eat there even without the food, which is totally 5 Star, because the staff is so friendly and efficient!“
“Wonderful. We ate outside. Yes expensive but it's an experience and we were on vacation. Waiter didn't tell us about no hush puppies but she added extra fries. It was fine but they really need to let the customers know and not pretend we don't know what we ordered. Other than that lil bit. Everything was good including the pickled okra that came with our burger. I bought a jar at the commissary across the street.“
“My first time coming and I absolutely had a great time!!! It's a different vibe from what I'm used to, but I loved it!!! Everyone was so kind and polite. The food was delicious, and the drinks were amazing. It's a fun experience eating and getting to shop as well. I never wanted to leave!!!“
“Always good food reasonably priced. The service was good but we told the girl at the end when friend ordered dessert we were in a hurry because friend had to go to church and after it taking way too long to go get a piece of cheesecake I had to ask a manager to go get it and get it to go which she did promptly so I don't know what the issue with the server was she was great up until then.“
“Super friendly service and delicious food. I had the Vermont Cheddar and Ham Omelet and grits.we shared a Buscuit with Sausage Gravy. My wife ordered the Challah Bread French Toast. Everything was well prepared and delicious. The Sausage Gravy was so good with lots of chunks of sausage. Great little find right in the village.“
