We got here as soon as it opened first to sit down, our waitress did not give her name but was extremely slow and took 10 minutes to greet us and get our drink order. We waited for our food for 2 hours and only seen our waitress a total of 3 times throughout the 2 1/2 hours of being there. I had 1 total refill on my drink and my cup sat empty for a total of 45 minutes. When we expressed our concern of the long wait we were g ven arguments back, making it seem like we were in the...read full review

We ate here tonight and had a great experience! The service was excellent, and it was exactly the change of pace we were looking for. If you’re wondering what to order, I highly recommend the Boondocks tacos, buffalo style—they were so good! We’ll definitely be back again.

Mama-N-Em's Southern Kitchen & Steakhouse is a great place with incredibly good food and a casual, country atmosphere. The country fried steak is thick, crispy, and tender, served with two sides for just $12.99. All the food is homemade, including the hand-breaded fried okra. The shrimp & grits, pimento cheese burger, and chicken tenders are all amazing, with shrimp & grits being highlighted for its great taste. Fried mushrooms and fried green tomatoes are also popular choices. Even non-okra lovers will enjoy Mama-N-Em's fried okra. The friendly staff make the experience even better, although there have been mentions of slow drink refills and some discomfort with flies during busy times. With parking in the back and Miss Becky's prime rib on weekend nights, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for outstanding Southern cuisine. The portion sizes are huge, and the food is freshly made, making it a favorite for many diners.
