The server Tim was AMAZING but OREATHAS.... speechless. The Chef Lucky and the Bartender Bre were great! My Seafood dish was unavailable at the Italion spot so I wanted food, I order the Crawfish Fries but their is a fancy name I can't remember but it was great! “Barrio ATL is an entire VIBEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I ended up here on a Thursday. I was in the Cascade area and in the mood for tacos. After a search on Yelp Barrio ATL popped up and was where we headed for the night. As a heads up, Barrio ATL sits in the corner of the strip plaza. As such, the parking can be a bit tight so be sure to choose a space accordingly. Upon walking in, the ambiance puts you in the mindset of a trendy hookah lounge. Wall seating, chairs, and tables are to the left, and a VIP area style is to the right. The DJ is directly to the left of the VIP area and the bar area is to the left of the DJ. The building is medium-sized and build rectangular so there is ample length as compared to the width. There was no one at the Hostess booth when I walked in, however, the young lady got up from one of the tables in the back, greeted me, and quickly took us to our table. Once seated, the waitress assigned to our table came over and was super nice and welcoming. She introduced herself as Shay and went over the specials for the night. As the ambiance is more than just a casual bar, Shay’s service was superior. Her personality shined and she enhanced the overall experience of the night. Thank you, Shay! Based on the specials for the night I decided to go with the 3 Chicken Birriia Tacos for $9 (this was a great deal as they are usually $20) and a side of fries. As they didn’t have Sweet Tea on the menu I ordered a bottle of water. Shout out to Barrio ATL for serving Fiji. Ha. Babeeeeeeeeee… Here me when I tell you… I don’t know what kind of potatoes these fries were made with but they were the BOMBBBBBBBB. They were thick, perfectly fried, golden to perfection, and well seasoned. For the record, I would go back for the fries alone. LoL! The birria tacos were good as well. As this was my first time having them I don’t have anything to compare them to, however, I enjoyed the experience. The crunchiness of the taco shell with the well-seasoned chicken. The birria consomé was well seasoned and definitely enhanced the flavor of the taco, as such, for my first birria experience I enjoyed it. Furthermore, if the chicken was this good, I can’t wait to try the beef. Overall Barrio ATL is def one to add to the checklist when you are looking for a vibe. The DJ was on point, the ambiance was hittin like it needed to be, and the overall flow of the environment was ideal for a kick it/unwind/grab a drink type of vibe.“

“My third time back and this place is always a go to when I come to Atlanta. Everything I've ever had here is great. The ox tail & fried catfish is absolutely phenomenal. You have to try both. The sides here are endless and all an A+. Our favorites were the collard greens & candied yams. The service is so vibrant and kind. The whole experience is wonderful and the customers and staff made it all the more special. Eating in is a must as the place is charming. End your dinner any of the three cobblers. They are incredible!“

“New in town and wanted some soul food/comfort food.I came across this small almost mom and pops spot and the food looked pleasing. I searched the address and it's located inside a Shells gas station. I ordered the rib tips,Mac and cheese and cabbage. The dinner also comes with two corn muffins. My boyfriend had the fried whiting and fries,his also came with two cornbread muffins. Everything was exceptional and fresh. The rib tips were cooked perfectly and the sauce was *chefs kiss*. Customer service was great and he explained that the menu options change during the week. We will definitely be back soon!“

I told the server it was first time and she explained that a plate came with a meat and two sides and the plantain came with dinner. I had jerk salmon, kale, with rice and peas. Awesome flavors. “This place is perfect! You order at the window, you can see everything that's ready for the day already. Look through the glass and you'll see everything! I was able to get breakfast and dinner for the day. You can call and order ahead but you may still have a little wait. I was standing in line and ordered my food and it took about 10 minutes or so for me to get it by the time I was done getting my food there were five people waiting on the block as well. This place is in a strip mall with other stores. For breakfast, I opted for pork chop with cheese, eggs and grits, and it came with a biscuit. The plate came with salt and pepper and jelly on the side and everything was delicious. I also opted for a cup of Kool-Aid for dinner later I decided to get a plate I saw made in front of me by the previous girl , I got oxtails with mac & cheese and collard greens and came with cornbread as well. The dinner plate had my car smelling good all day. I will definitely be back here when I'm in the area and I will try something different but it is to go only an average pricing. “I visit this restaurant often. Last Sunday a gentleman got sick and fell on the floor. Not sure if he was having a seizure or another kind of medical emergency. A customer yelled for her to call him ambulance ? and she made a very rude comment. She told the lady all yall people standing in line. “It’s a good spot to get some good live music on a Friday or Sunday night. The service & food be on point. A pretty diverse crowd but more so a “Grown Folks” spot where you can Eat & smoke inside (I think) but also have an outdoor patio. I love the servers/bartenders, they pour good & have good suggestions. I have had their BBQ which is so good it don’t need BBQ sauce (in my opinion) but the sauce with it is good.
