“The food was exceptionally delicious and the choices were varied. There were six different preparations of poke. I chose spicy ahi and green onion ahi. Stellar range of flavors. The staff were friendly and very willing to explain the differences in preparation. Highly recommended!“

“We had been to Kauai several times, but never visited Hamura until this trip. We stayed at Kauai Palms, which is in walking distance from Hamura. We stopped by and were quickly seated. Deep fried oysters were delicious and the saimin hit the spot. It definitely has the nostalgic feel to it. The highlight was the lilikoi chiffon pie. I ate it for desser and then again for my breakfast the following day. Ono! The workers were kind and helpful and the set up of the restaurant ensures a very family feel. It’s not high frills, so only go if you’re down for local style hospitality and simple home cooked meals.“

“Found this spot on a whim during my 2 day visit to Kauai. This is a MUST try for a delicious lunch. It was worth every penny. The owners, husband and wife, are incredibly friendly. Definitely the best service I've had in a restaurant in some time. Go and enjoy!“

I happened upon this quaint, friendly and fast place by accident. Located next to Inkspot, people drive by for a really quick and onolicious pickup. They offer 3 simple bentos that offer a quick but wide variety of food. Drop by to get your quick fix to start your day. They open at 6am. D, one of the owners was really informative and helpful. And the food offerings is what attracts your eye at their prices. Not overly huge but very reasonable and economical portions in these trying times. A nice niche option just minutes from anywhere in town and the airport. Onolicious! 😉🤙✌️“

“Stopped into Costco last night upon landing in Kauai to stock up for the week. We were informed by the checker that the food court and bakery are closed for renovation. We were still able to stock up on treasures in other departments. I thought I would pass the information along so future travelers can plan accordingly.“

“This bar is inside the resort with a view of the pools and live music. The drinks and appetizers are very reasonably priced during Happy Hour. Staff is very friendly, and one bartender politely pointed out I had ordered the strongest drink on the menu, which, as a petite lady, I do appreciate! It was delicious.“

“Later lunch bit we both enjoyed clean plate club. The CHAR SUI was excellent above my last three tries at other restaurants. I would recommend this everytime. I paired it with Chicken Katsu and fried rice. This was a great find and I enjoyed this meal.“

“This was our first visit, but it was will definitely not be our last! From what the minute we arrived we were greeted like family and yet, they asked if it was our first visit. And then the night was perfect! Our server was Ashley and she was...amazing!! And...she tolerated my husbands jokes! The service was above and beyond, but so was the food! It was a perfect night!!“

“Look, this is probably one of the greatest true to life Chinese American with that Hawaiian twist restaurants there is. They have all the makings of true greatness. The kid doing homework in the corner, the poor lighting at night, the bathroom is locked because of chronics and you have to ask for the key...but it is clean. There are large portions. Good food. General Tso's chicken is my personal favorite with da mac salad on the side. All the locals I met there were always cool, talk story, all that. This place reminds me of the Chinese joints of my childhood. It has an ambience that cannot be put into words, you just have to go there and get some food. I don't want anything off the steam tray line...nah, don't get that. Get the hamburger steak or plate lunch special. Buy a random piece of Dragon fruit. The ladies that run this place are real nice. I think it's my favorite Chinese restaurant I've ever been to in the entire world. Everything else just falls short.“

“Love the food here. You gotta be there really early for the full spread of rolls, I love the spicy crab, portuguese sausage, or flying saucers. They’re prepared food is great too, I love the kim chee fried rice omelet or the brisket bomb. Been coming here for years, owners are really kind hardworking people.
