“The food was absolutely delicious. The kid menu was a hit with our daughter, which is sometimes very challenging. The atmosphere was very upscale for little Kauai with very reasonable prices for us locals. I absolutely recommend the food here.

“This is a cozy, casual spot that clearly has a lot of locals coming in as well as visitors. Cash only, but very worth getting cash if you need to in order to go. I really liked the counters running throughout the place, which gives it a very communal feeling as you end up sitting next to other guests. The 2 servers for the whole restaurant were extremely efficient and took good care of everyone despite it being busy. The fried wontons for an appetizer were freshly fried and very tasty. I appreciated they actually arrived before dinner as an appetizer, which I've noticed restaurants lately struggle with. This was my first time trying saimin, but I'm a big ramen fan so it was right up my alley!The special saimin was very good; it was reminiscent of ramen for sure, but the ham and the wontons in it added an interesting twist. I wasn't a fan of the pork, but I don't usually like chasu in ramen either. My husband had the extra large size and it was a lot of food! The lilikoi chiffon pie was amazing! Super light and delicate in texture, both for the filling and the crust, and the lilikoi flavor was subtle but perfect. I would regularly go here if I lived on Kauai and if we weren't leaving tomorrow, I would certainly consider returning to eat here again during the same trip.“

“I had been on island for a week and the day I leave I found this place. The food was amazing and felt like home cooked eating. The owner and staff were friendly and talked to us for quite some time about everything. They are genuinely some of the nicest people we’ve met on the island and must suggest this place to anyone and everyone that is coming to Kauai. Don’t make the same mistake we did, come on your first day and you won’t be disappointed.“

“Dominos pizza Kauai is the best! The food is always great and the service is always beyond exceptional. My daughter just had her first ever party with friends! She had it at Dominos. She loves the food and the team there! She and her friends had a blast! They got a VIP tour and some Dominos swag! “We took a free shuttle from the NCL cruise Ship to this location which took about 5 minutes and another 5 minutes to walk to Kalapaki Beach. Had lunch at Dukes Canoe Club Barefoot Bar while enjoying the breath-taking views of Nawiliwili Kaui. We had the Fish & Chips for lunch. Food and Service was very good. The fish used for the fish and chips is not what were used to but was still good. Not the restaurants' fault. They cook a different fish that is dry and tastes more like chicken than what most Irish Pubs will serve back in the mainland. The Dukes Blonde from Kona Brewing Co. was super delicious.“

“Non-chain Chinese food. Large quantity and good value for money. There is a parking lot and no toilets.

The taste is quite delicious. One that I can recommend.
Since we are a Chinese restaurant, we are open even on Christmas, when most people around us are closed.“

“Love the food here. You gotta be there really early for the full spread of rolls, I love the spicy crab, portuguese sausage, or flying saucers. They’re prepared food is great too, I love the kim chee fried rice omelet or the brisket bomb. Been coming here for years, owners are really kind hardworking people. “We are Marriott Owners and stayed on property to enjoy the Royal Sonesta amenities. Kukui's bar opened up after their beautiful remodel.while we were there. I shared my thoughts with Anthony, who was the manager on site. Christmas Day was crazy busy and the staff kicked butt and did a fantastic job. Boy, were they hustling and still kept their composure and professionalism! The menu has been refreshed and had many great healthy options. The prices are standard for this type of higher end property. The breakfast menu offered many options and all that we tasted were beautifully plated and very delicious! Yes, there were hiccups, which is expected, but the staff did the best they could. I'm not going to mention what needed to be improved on yet. “We stayed at the Kauai Beach Resort and went to Shutters the first night to get a drink to have while walking on the beach. It was not high quality. I saw the "bartender" go to the cooler and grab a premixed "manhattan" in a glass and pour it into a plastic cup for us to go out to the beach area. My wife had a mai tai. I think that one was at least mixed when it was ordered. Mine tasted like it was - tired, a bit diluted, and clearly made long before I drank it. If that were the end of the story, I would be arguing about whether to do 2 or 3 stars, but the best part is what came next. We were wandering around in Hanapepe and ended up buying a fresh dragonfruit from a little store. When we came back, I went to the bar to see if they could give me a knife. I expected a plastic or maybe butter knife, but the busboy got me a steak knife, which was so much better. Next night, we had some left over poke and I asked for whether they had soy sauce, and the busser came back with packets for us to take to the room. The staff definitely went out of their way and I would give 5 stars for that, but I cannot ignore the bad drinks. Did not get to try the food.“
