“This restaurant is on the Marine Corps base and you cannot get on base and to the restaurant without a military ID. Google maps takes you to a closed side gate. You need to enter through the main gate. This used to be a military club. Now, it is an all ranks facility. The setting is almost second to none. You can sit outside under a huge spreading tree and watch the sun set from one of the highest locations overlooking Pearl Harbor. The panorama of the entire area is spectacular. The menu was limited, but well prepared. Given the setting, we'd have come if all they were serving was hot dogs. They have Mongolian BBQ on Wednesdays. Suspect that would be a hit.“

“We celebrated a big anniversary at Pai and WOW - they made it extra special. We did the four course menu with wine pairings. The service was top notch. The food was inspired, creative, delicious, and locally sourced. Though the portions of each dish looked small, it was more than enough food and so delicious you wanted to eat every bite! The wine pairings were spot on, absolutely perfect with our chosen courses. The space has such a lovely vibe - clean and modern, but comfortable and well appointed. There really isn't another dining experience quite like this on the island. Justine and Kevin have created such a beautiful place with incredible food and service. Pai is definitely a must-try restaurant. We will definitely be back.“

It's really delicious, the portions are plentiful, and there are a lot of menus. There's a Korean menu, so I enjoyed it very comfortably.

“TLDR: Melissa is AWESOME! But, if you are gluten free (ie no soy sauce with wheat) or allergic to mushrooms, you can’t eat here.

My husband and I combined have those allergies and Melissa was very kind to ask the chef if we could be accommodated. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible. Melissa was so respectful of how she informed us - aaaaaaand then offered us a complimentary cocktail (which was on point) and a reservation down the road at a nice restaurant that she knew could accommodate our allergies!

I don’t envy her for effectively having to kick us out, but she (and the entire staff) were so gracious to us. Thank you Melissa!“

“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

“By far one of the greatest experiences from food to extremely exemplary service. We started with the tako escargot, then Mac nut covered fish and steak with frites. It was such an incredible experience we cancelled our Saturday dinner plans and came back for dinner. We come from big island and every time we come to Oahu, about seven or eight times a year, we eat at the merrimans. By far the best of the merrimans on the various islands. “Just the best food, staff. Always happy. Always tasty dishes. Their wine dinners are fun. Salmon’s always perfect. A gnocchi & beef dish was especially tasty.“

“Good tasting vegetarian food. Ordered mushroom linguine with an appetizer of sauteed spinach. Mixed it together to create an one good tasting vegetarian dish. Their matcha milk tea tastes good as well. Parked on the street. Street parking is free on Sunday. Additional parking behind their building.“

We had the Risotto (super creamy), the lobster ravioli special (best ever) and the Tavern Burger (perfectly done and an out of this world bun). We come to Hawaii every year to visit family, and we are so glad that we came across Chicken and Brisket, it has become a staple for us to visit when we are on the island. the whole menu is amazing but the yum chicken is my personal favorite . Highly recommend the vanilla cream pancakes...they were the size of the plate and the firecracker chicken hash bowl. They both were delicious. “It's my neighborhood so I use it often.This is a Whole Foods store in Kahala Mall, right next to Whole Foods, and although it looks like a pub at first glance, the food is delicious. This is a restaurant where you can enjoy just the food without having to order alcohol.The daily menu is a great deal!I often go on ?Taco Tuesday on Tuesdays. The store opens at 1pm in the afternoon.“
