“The attention to quality and detail made for the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The crispy cheese slider was over the top. The chicken taco meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. This is the kind of food I’d fly back to Hawaii just to eat.“

“Located in the parking lot outside Lucky Seven Liquors at 435 Atkinson Drive. Typically open from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. Weekly schedule varies, though. While the posted days are Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, he sometimes will also open on other days. My most recent visit was on a Thursday.
Always a pleasure to sample something from the menu. I try not to have the same thing every time.
If possible, he appreciates it when you pay with $1 bills because he sometimes runs out when people pay with 10s or 20s.“

“Absolutely loved this place! The food was so good—flavorful, fresh, and you can tell they put care into every dish. I was genuinely impressed with everything we ordered. We ordered a lot (party of 12) And don’t even get me started on the ambiance… made the whole experience even better. It’s the kind of spot you don’t want to leave. Great food and amazing vibe—definitely coming back!“

“Please Note: This review was written in 2022 and posted at Fridas Hawaii in Ewa by mistake. My apologies.
It's a small little Mexican restaurant in Waipahu. Staff is very friendly. Food tastes really delicious. This is my third time coming to this restaurant.
Their shrimp enchiladas were very tasty. It came with rice and beans. Portion size was a little small for what you pay for.
My wife ordered the tostadas with hamburger, and it wasn't to my liking. Their hamburger mixture has peas in it in which I felt didn't match.
The Birria tacos is amazing! This was the first time I've ever tried this. These tacos are very cilantro forward. If you're like me, where cilantro tastes like soap, I can tell you that these are delicious and don't taste like soap. The portion was small, in my opinion. I just wanted more!
Esquites, which is their street corn, is very tasty, very creamy.
The street tacos are very tiny. You can gobble them up in 1-2 bites.
Fried ice cream is okay. Portion size is good for 2-3 to share.
The banana loca is just amazing! I highly recommend this. It was just warm and flavorful, with a scoop of ice cream on top. It was perfect for my wife and I to share.
Overall, I will be coming back here for more. On all visits, we spend an average of +$70 for two of us. Food is really tasty. Just portion size could be better.“

“A Hidden Gem for Authentic Mexican Tacos!
This small spot may have limited seating, but it more than makes up for it with friendly service and incredibly flavorful tacos. Whether you’re into carnitas, al pastor, chicken, or the vegetarian rajas, every option is worth trying (seriously—try them all!). Taco Tuesday gets pretty busy, and for good reason. It’s a must-visit whether you’re dining in or grabbing food to go. They also serve soft drinks along with classic Mexican beverages like horchata and hibiscus water (Jamaica). Highly recommended!“
“How anyone could give Nico’s Hickam any less than a 5 stars blows my mind. The quality of Nico’s fish is the best on Oahu! And the merch store inside is awesome! Don’t hesitate to come here - I don’t know what the other reviewers here are talking about - the workers were friendly and helpful!
And for the guy that said goto the commissary to get a bowl - I bet you eat the frozen poke too! Gross! Never go to the commissary when Nico’s is right next door!
Try it, you won’t regret it!“

“I loved this place!! The food was great! One of the best Mexican food spots i have found on the island. Everyone there was really nice. It's a family place not chain or corporation. They have the Aloha vibe too. Everything is cooked fresh and comes out nice and hot. Tastes great too. I drive all the way from town to come here. Thank you!!!“

“Try it...you'll love it!!! It's not big restaurant, but that's what I loved about it and it gave authentic from the front door! Best Mexican food I've had since I got here. On the back of the menu, it says BYOB and my husband said I'll be back...lol! He went right to the drug store and got a 6 pk. We will definitely back!“

“We had Birria tacos which were phenomenal. Consume was a little on the salty side, but still delicious. My brother had some BBQ place that came with so much food for $30. The price of my meal was around $27, so expect to pay some money if you are coming. Totally worth it though. This is not just LA Pina Cantina, it is mixed with various food options under one roof. The Gelato place was good as well! Good Food, good service (from LA Pina Cantina) and atmosphere was relaxed“
“Ordered a chicken Bao taco and chicken regular/street taco. Sooo delicious! The green (spicy) salsa was also excellent. Coming from socal, my taco standards are pretty high and this truck delivers. It's a fusion, so seasonings and details aren't exact if you're looking for Mexicana style street taco; but, they're so delicious nonetheless. I went back for seconds and spoiled my dinner (well worth it). Great compliment to the beers as Howzit.“

“I was craving some tacos and this place did not disappoint. The amount of meat loaded in each taco was insane and the quality of meat was amazing as well. The salsa had wonderful flavor and a nice kick to it. We ordered a couple of each type of meat (asada, chicken, al pastor). I wish I had a refreshing agua de horchata to go with it. Nonetheless, the tacos were still delicious and I recommend this place.“
