“I was visiting Honolulu from Wisconsin, and this food truck ended up being one of the best surprises of the whole trip. I’ll be honest the walk to it looks a little sketchy at first since you head down this small alley, but don’t let that fool you. Once you get back there, it’s a whole different story. The customer service was awesome super friendly, super welcoming. And the food? Straight-up 10/10. The loaded barbecue fries were insane, packed with flavor and totally worth every bite. The burgers were just as amazing, juicy and cooked perfectly. Everything we tried was out of this world. If you’re in Honolulu, don’t sleep on this place. I’d come back in a heartbeat.“

A lot of places in Waikiki can be overpriced and disappointing, but this spot was really good and reasonably priced. Everyone in my family was satisfied with their food, which says a lot. “The most delicious tacos I’ve had in Hawaii, period. I had one chicken taco and one steak taco. Both tacos came with homemade pico and homemade guacamole, and all the salsas at the open salsa bar are also homemade. You add your own cilantro, onions, salsa, hot sauce, and lemon or lime—everything is there. You can really taste the authentic Mexican flavor that you’re not going to get at some of these other fancy restaurants. I’ve honestly enjoyed these two tacos more than many fine-dining places I’ve eaten at here. I wouldn’t call them childhood memories since I didn’t grow up in Mexico, but they remind me of happy memories from time spent in Mexico. It’s a small food truck in a parking lot, a one-person operation, cash only, $5 per taco. There’s one table with five chairs, and napkins and plastic forks are self-serve. If you want truly delicious, street-style Mexican food, I can’t think of another place in Hawaii that comes close to these tacos. 6pm-11pm Tue Fri Sat. Cash only. BYOB.“

“This food truck is in the Ward Harbour area, and I've been there for lunch several times. The food is always delicious. Their chili dishes are excellent, and the tacos they've recently started serving are also fantastic. On this particular visit, I had the Fresh Fish Tacos. They were substantial and had a light, addictive flavor. The Pesto Pasta is also delicious, and the Grilled Short Rib I had as a side was so tender and habit-forming. The sauce is truly the best. If you want to enjoy a casual lunch while soaking up the Hawaiian sun, this is the place to go.“

“We found Aloha Mamacita while watching a Niners game at the Row, where they allow outside food.

We ordered onion rings, fries, and their Thai fried chicken. The fries and chicken were my favorites. For 3 people, all of it came out to around $30, too.

Staff were super friendly, and the seating inside is nice. Parking is easy with the garage and validation. All in all, would definitely come back to try more items (like their horchata towers!)“

“Get there early and you’ll be very happy. This place has some of the best poke you can find anywhere. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, which makes sense given the location—right on the fishing docks. You can really tell the fish hasn’t traveled far from the ocean to your plate. Watching the boats and being so close to where the fish are brought in just adds to the experience. “I was craving some tacos and this place did not disappoint. The amount of meat loaded in each taco was insane and the quality of meat was amazing as well. The salsa had wonderful flavor and a nice kick to it. We ordered a couple of each type of meat (asada, chicken, al pastor). I wish I had a refreshing agua de horchata to go with it. Nonetheless, the tacos were still delicious and I recommend this place.“

“Ordered a chicken Bao taco and chicken regular/street taco. Sooo delicious! The green (spicy) salsa was also excellent. Coming from socal, my taco standards are pretty high and this truck delivers. It's a fusion, so seasonings and details aren't exact if you're looking for Mexicana style street taco; but, they're so delicious nonetheless. I went back for seconds and spoiled my dinner (well worth it). Great compliment to the beers as Howzit.“
