“It’s a great spot to grab coffee, an acai bowl or pastry in the morning as it’s open earlier than everywhere else on that side of the island. The folks working there weren’t super friendly any of the days we visited. The location is beautiful.“

“I was 9 years old in 1964 when we visited Oahu. Coconut Joes is my favorite memory. I'm glad to see it is still there although it has changed from a hut made of chicken wire covered by vines to a modern building. I'm wondering if they still have a myna bird somewher on the property. My brother and I loved that bird.“

“My Friend and I ordered corn beef hash. DA Bes in town. Friend wanted his eggs soft scrambled. Our waitress, Rhea, knew exactly how it's made as many establishments overcook them. She said she would inform the cook. They were served exactly as my friend, Bob, wanted. Great service even with a full house. We will become regulars for sure!!!!!“

“We love coming here when we visit the Rec 7 pool. The hot saimin and cocoa are perfect for the cooler weather up here. The staff is consistently kind, joyful, and patient. Service is a little slow. Also, they serve Starbucks coffee but aren't an official franchise, so the app won't work. Luckily, they have a simple rewards system tied to your phone number. A great local spot that makes pool days much better!“

“I found Ho'olana being one of the better coffee shops in the area. Their drinks tend to be on the sugary side , so I would recommend ordering half (or quarter) sweet unless you have a sweet tooth.

I ended up ordering quite a few drinks across several days, but found I enjoyed their caramel latte (half sweet) the most. The BBL drink everyone raves about is unique to try, but not sure if it's an every day type drink. For the BBL, I found I needed to order it quarter sweet to really still taste the coffee.

All the breakfast food options were nothing to write home about. Think Starbucks quality , not something I would go out of my way to buy unless your starving.“

I stopped by The Milktea Way in Wahiawa after picking up my medication at Longs/CVS. We were greeted by the staff as soon as we entered. It was very clean and I walked past shelves with cute toys, snacks and a spinning shelf filled adorable mini plushie and crocheted keychains. After looking thru a vast menu of yummy drink offerings, I decided to get the Honeydew Smoothie and my nephew tried the Lychee Blush. The staff were very nice and friendly and quickly whipped up our order and we were excited to try our first sip. The Honeydew 🍈 smoothie ($7.95) was a bit on the sweet side for me but it was yummy and definitely refreshing. Very smooth with a rich honeydew flavor. I was definitely satisfied. My nephew loved his Lychee Blush ($7.95) with added Boba ( $.60) and really enjoyed the chewy and delicious refreshment. We picked up a few snacks: Sweet Popcorn ($3.25) Li Hing Mui Strips ($6.75) and an Almond Cookie ($1.95). All were yummy! I would like for us to return to try different drinks a pick up a few keychains on our next visit! Support Local!“
