I was 9 years old in 1964 when we visited Oahu. Coconut Joes is my favorite memory. I'm glad to see it is still there although it has changed from a hut made of chicken wire covered by vines to a modern building. I'm wondering if they still have a myna bird somewher on the property. My brother and I loved that bird.
Huge and tasty shave ice!
Kept me going through the long drive we did around the east coast. Pictures say more than I can. Good smoothie. Decent service. Friendly but on island time. Atmosphere is pretty decent. Just a whole in the wall but very cute and vibes are solid.
