Keneke's Grill at Punaluu Reviews
Stopped for the 2 quarter pounder burger special (which was AMAZING) and decided to try the garlic fries. They were so delicious! Made sure we let aunty know how fantastic the food was. 10/10 recommend and will be going back!
Food was amazing. Took maybe MAYBE 10 minutes to get the food. Exactly what I wanted. Only reason the atmosphere loses a star is because it just could’ve been cleaner. But I get it’s basically an outside restaurant so it doesn’t take away from the review from me. Great food
I ordered catering for my wedding back in the beginning of April from Keneke's and I did not know what to expect. I just trusted my wedding planner that they would be good and my goodness it was SO GOOD! I cannot wait to visit Oahu again just so I can go to their restaurant.

Keneke's Grill at Punaluu is a countryside restaurant that offers a unique dining experience with island country charm. The portions served are large, making it easy for two people to share a meal. The food, including the BBQ chicken plate lunch and Kahlua Big's plate lunch, is consistently delicious and well-priced, with the BBQ sauce being particularly noteworthy. The chicken is a must-try, as it is perfectly cooked and juicy. The beef, however, may not be as well-received.
The restaurant features an indoor dining area adorned with Bible verses on the walls, creating a wholesome atmosphere. There is also a TV playing Fox News, which may not appeal to everyone. Some reviewers have noted that the clerk can be unfriendly but not rude. The price per person is close to $20, which some consider reasonable for the generous portions.
Keneke's Grill has a rustic charm, with chickens and ducks welcoming guests. While it may appear slightly dirty, the restaurant offers a large amount of food, making it a great spot for those with time to spare while sightseeing. It is popular among locals and has been a favorite since the 1980s. Families will find it kid-friendly, with a backyard space for children to enjoy. The restaurant is also wheelchair accessible, with a ramp at the entrance. Despite some drawbacks, such as the clerk's attitude and limited vegetarian options, it is recommended for anyone wanting to experience the delicious chicken in a unique setting.
