The Mandalay

Such a shame to have mandalay move to a new location and close shortly after. The businesses that choose little corner in the beginning of Waialae never seem to last. Maybe it's from the lack of parking spaces? I really enjoyed the mandalay and I was pretty excited they were in my neighborhood! Great service and delicious dim sum options. This was my first experience with dim sum but I went with a friend who is well versed and we both loved it. Looking forward to my next dim sum experience!

Our last family gathering was in March 2020 at Mandalay in downtown. And for a long time it was the last time I went to eat at a restaurant. We of course had takeout and from Mandalay too. But this past weekend was the first time i went to the new location in Kaimuki. We had been there countless times when Linda and Larry had their previous restaurant, Eastern Garden there.
