Yoshitsune Reviews
Delicate and varied flavours. Also, real wasabi and melt in your mouth sashimi!
Great food and great service
The amazing food was only surpassed by the stellar service. Our waitress was proud of the food the restaurant served and extensively answered all the questions we had. She was also extremely attentive, ensuring that we had a phenomenal experience and that water was topped up, tables were cleared, etc.

Yoshitsune is a traditional Japanese restaurant known for its delicious and fatty fish. Located in a hotel, it offers a private and quiet atmosphere, especially in the back room. The menu features breakfast, sukiyaki, and sashimi, which are highly recommended. The restaurant is family-run and has gained popularity through word of mouth, making it a hidden gem in Waikiki. Customers praise the fresh seafood, with highlights like the Two Tiered-Chirashi set dinner, which includes tasty uni, shrimp, and abalone sashimi. The appetizers, like homemade flavored vegetables and geoduck, are delightful snack bites. Chawanmushi is noted for being smooth and flavorful. The owner provides friendly service, and there are free rice and miso soup refills. Although it can get busy during dinner, the staff works hard to serve every table with many small dishes. Yoshitsune strives to maintain its quality and authenticity, making it a great place to enjoy a meal without rushing. The restaurant is known for its homemade tofu, butterfish misoyaki dinner set, and unagi rice box, which are all highly praised by customers. Yoshitsune quietly keeps doing what it's always done: serve honest, traditional Japanese food with zero pretension.
